"There are many variables. The simplest is, what if he chooses not to join? Unless you have leverage over him I don't see it happening. The next one would be what if he's deceased? I would use....necromancy but I'd need a great amount of Power. As far as I'm aware, I cannot feel much."

"I think you are forgetting another factor." Alex said as he rubbed his fingers together beside his head.
-
"I thought it was an assumed thing between us. But yes, first we must find him. Question is, how." Xanthus had replied, looking down at the streets below. It was a large city, larger than anything Xanthus had been in, including Novigrad for a short period. "But as I said, I'm a mage, not a Witcher."
-
"Well. Don't see why we can't start with his place." Alex suggested. "It's 43rd Brookstone Street. May as well check out his home base and possibly get a hint as to where he's gone."
-
"Gee, really? I was thinking we could go get some рrоstitutеs instead!" Xanthus said sarcastically. "I suppose we'll just walk there, unless you have another way."
-
"Mmmmm nah. We're walking." Alex said. The two made their way through the building and eventually down to the crowded sidewalk. It was bustling with people. Each one had their own thing to do and didn't care for the others around them as the made their way through each other. As the men made their way down the blocks of the city more and more people looked at Xanthus with weirded eyes.

Xanthus however was indifferent, as he had started to smoke a pipe on the trip. "Tell me. What would happen if someone had gotten a bit...angry and destroyed a courtyard in the dojo? Asking for a friend."
-
"Meh. Probably would be rebuilt within a couple days." Alex replied nonchalantly. The two arrived outside a short twenty story building. They arrived on Brookstone street. "Alright. This is the place." Alex said as he stopped Xanthus.
-
"You first." The mage said, snuffing out the pipe. "You know this place better than me."

"Looks like we're both going in blind then..." Alex whispered as he entered the door to the building. The two found themselves in a quaint lobby. It had a small waterfall in a lounge area, as well as a check in desk that was right before the only hallway that lead down the hall. Alex walked up to the counter, where no one was around. There was a little bell and he turned around to view the empty lobby and shrugged to Xanthus as alex ringed the bell.

"Looks like we're going in blind then..." Alex said under his breath as he opened to door to the building. He expected the sorcerer to follow.
