Cannon pulled out his saber, which was made of nearly indestructible beskar iron.
"I can try to pry them off?"
English
-
"Don't see why you couldn't try." Alex answered.
-
Cannon stepped up and wedged the blade behind the lock. He then strained his strength in an attempt to break it.
-
The lock creaked, but it wouldn't budge. After a good try, the lock remained unhindered. "Well...looks like we'll have to find the damn keys then!" Alex exclaimed as he pointed to the doors on the left and right. "My money is that the security measures made back in the day have the keys in both of these doors. One for each room."
-
"Which one should we try first?"
-
"Right is right, right?" Alex said as he walked towards the door on the right.
-
"Um... Right?" Cannon followed, resheathing his sword.
-
The two stopped in front of the large door, and alex turned its ancient knob. He pushed it open and icicles fell from the ceiling and crashed around them as he did so. He crept in, with Can behind him. Inside was a cubical shaped room. At the end, there seemed to be a gothic looking statue with its hand extended. It had the keys hung on its ring finger, as if it was offering the two to take it. "Whoo. That's pretty creepy." Alex admitted.
-
"Don't blink?" Cannon joked, not liking the looks of it.
-
"Haha no kidding. Holy shit that terrifying." Alex said as he approached the statue. "At least we got the first key..." He commented as he took the key off of the ring finger. Suddenly, the door behind them had bars cover it, and it froze completely in ice.
-
"We should have seen that coming..." Cannon commented, shaking his head slightly.
-
"Ya, that's a cliche move at this point." Alex remarked as well. Suddenly, the two could hear groans coming from the other side of the wall on their left...
-
Cannon raised his rifle to his shoulder. "What was that?"
-
"Don't know. Maybe it was-" Suddenly the wall where the noise came from completely collapsed. Coming from the wall were icy blue decayed figures with popped pale eyes and long sickly teeth. "Oh shit! Fire! Fire right now!"
-
Cannon opened fire on it, sending a barage of plasma bolts.
-
Alex took out his desert eagle, which shined a blue silver in the ice cold room. He fired at the creatures as well, with only head shots to his name. The creatures seemed to go down immediately from Can's shot, but they kept coming out from The wall...
-
"Back up!" Cannon shouted to Alex, sprinting towards the creatures. He activated his wrist flamethrower, spraying the creatures with a cloud of fire.
-
The flames almost immediately turned them to ash as alex backed up. It had an astounding effect on them. It wasn't long until they were completely exhausted. Then, alex cursed. "Shit. Shit, shit shit!" He said. He seemed awfully pissed off.
-
Cannon glanced at him. "You alright?"
-
"No! Because this is the second time I've seen these bastards, Can!"
-
"And? We killed them."
-
"Ya no shit. But the fact that we see them here, and now that they've recently been invading the Celtic isles? I don't know about you Can but I don't trust coincidence." Alex seemed awfully and unjustly paranoid by the situation.
-
"These things were on the Celtic isles?"
-
"Ya! They've been attacking their shores for weeks! I think I was able to put a stop to that shit but apparently some sorcerer came and conjured em all up! And now they are here?!"
-
"So we find and kill the conjurer." Cannon said.
-
"If only it were so easy. Bastard disappeared without a trace. I'm just wondering why his damn creatures are here as well." The door melted, and the bars unhinged. "Well. Whatever. Let's get these defences up and get the hell outta here ya?"
