"Okay calm down now." Alex whispered to Sera as he put his hand on her shoulder for reassurance.
"My! What a mouth! You, miss, need to be taught a lesson." The mistress said.
"No. You won't be teaching anyone anything. She has a point. You hide behind an army of kids you've trained to kill since they were born. You may have conditioned them, Mistress, but there's only so much someone can do for a person without trust or loyalty." Alex started to explain.
"What are you getting at? I care for my pets and love them, as long as they serve me." The mistress asked him.
"What I'm getting at, is that I challenge you to a duel. If we all fight now, those pets of yours aren't going to all make it through this, even if all three of us die."
"Ha! You wouldn't kill them. You proved that at the Inn!" She challenged.
"You'll be surprised what someone will do when they are backed into a corner." Alex stated intimidatingly. This got the mistresses attention.
"Go on..." she permitted.
"We have a duel. That limits the casualties to only you, or me. If I win, me and my friends go free. And on your death or defeat, your clan here disbands."
"Mmmmmm. Interesting offer. Then, if I win, I'll get to kill you, and keep the girl, Sera. The princess can go free, she's of no use to me."

"It was definitely different. Who knew one of the leaders of the clan would be there. You struck a major blow with her death, but something tells me there will be retaliation."
-
"Ya. I've been thinking the same thing. We Killed one head, but there's still another.... The master. But we don't have a lead on him. It's likely by killing the mistress we freed these kids, but there's probably another half of em that follow the master. Maybe even more."
-
"Not to mention there's a whole 'nother part of them that my father was apart of....I'm guessing he didn't tell you about them?"
-
"All I know is that your dad was a member as a child and managed to escape." He clarified to her. "The events leading up to that escape are his to tell you and him alone."
-
"Well I overheard him talking with mom about when he left, said how he was having nightmares about his brother and how he was being controlled...."
-
"His brother eh? He never told me he had a bro." Alex stated as he put his hands behind his head and leaned back.
-
"He doesn't really like to talk about it, since it hurts his heart. He also had an older sister, who was a top tier assassin."
-
"Huh. Looks like he was keeping secrets as well? Family related nonetheless? Never knew about that." Alex stated with intrigue. "Well. If I can put any pieces together, it's that his siblings are still apart of the clan. Which means it's extra important you don't tell him where you've been for the last couple of days."
-
"Gotcha, don't want him freaking out and chewing him out huh?"
-
"Exactly." Alex said to her. "Now. I don't know about you, but I'm in need of some shut eye. Gunna need it if I'm gunna get these kids settled in at the Ko-Rudo mountains. Oh, and there's also the party."
-
"Party? What party? When did you have time to organize one?"
-
"Oh I haven't been! I have like, three days to organize it. But ya, a party. Gunna be a ton of guests at the castle. Gunna get fruit punch and shit. It's sort of a ploy to establish alliances with some Tatakai based companies as well, but I'm also having everyone over that's helped with the Infinite corporation so far, and then some. ...so ya, you're invited little miss."
-
"Sounds like fun, make sure to wake me once we are home okay?"
-
"You got it speedy." Alex affirmed to her, as she drifted onto a sleep until she would awake in the cold.
end!
