Alex grinned cockily as he flicked the blood off his blade. He readied to block as the mistress approached slowly...
Then, she struck.
She swung her blade to the right, and alex raised his to block, but she quickly ducked her blade around and cut across his armoured chest. Alex fell to his knees as he cursed. Even though his armour protected him, he felt the full impact of the blow dealt to him.
She swung her blade down at him, but he grabbed her wrist and dropped his own blade to the ground so he could hit her in the belly. This blow sent her back, and gave Alex enough time to grab his blade and recover.
The crowd of nightingales seemed uneasy as Sera looked onto them...

She turned her head and glared at the children, then went back to watching the fight.

She soon noticed that alex was pacing around back to Sera and Anne. Was he doing this for a reason? That didn't matter, because the mistress suddenly threw three knives at once at Alex. He blocked one, but the other two impaled his right arm again and another cut across his left arm. He reeled back, one would assume dramatically so. This resulted in him to be even closer to the girls. Anne let out a gasp, but she also nudged Sera.

She leaned down to "check" his leg and whispered to him again. "Now she's using ranged attacks, so you gotta get in close and catch her off guard. Try to knock her off balance, then unleash a fury of quick strikes."

"Got it." He whispered back to her as he pulled both knives from his arm quickly. He didn't throw them to the ground though, but he put them in his belt. He stabbed his blade into the ground, as it seemed him as well as the mistress were recovering, and he threw off his white leather coat, which just left him with his black fur armour, black jeans and bloodied pale arms. He drew his blade out of the ground and walked to the centre of the fight with a limp. The mistress then quickly ran to the centre, and jumped and through a knife at alex. Alex raised his blade and swung it, which knocked the knife back at its wielder who dodged it. As she dodged, Alex lunged forward with a wince and swung his blade at the woman. The mistress couldn't compose her feet in time for the aggressive strike, so in her dodge alex cut across her side and left a deep cut as she cried out and almost fell to the left.

"Attack her with the knives!" She cried out at Alex.

Alex followed through as he grabbed one of the knives from his hip and threw it at his opponent, but she suddenly raised her hand and the knife halted by the catch of her hand. Without recovery she threw the knife at Alex, and it landed directly in his chest. The knife shattered upon contact, but Alex fell to his knees in agony from the blow. The woman was on him as she drew two knives from her hip and attacked alex immediately. Alex raised his blade up to block as the woman unleashed hell upon him. Alex blocked as much as he could, but the woman cut across his arms even more and got a cut across his cheek. In anger, he bashed his blade forward, which hit her in the head and knocked her back. His entire body was now red with blood from her onslaught, and he weakly got up and used his blade as support. Anne put her hands to her mouth from looking at his condition. But....something poked out of one of the windows....

"Oh no you don't!" She quickly drew her bow and loaded an explosive arrow, then fired it at the window.

The front of the building exploded from contact, but the explosion of the arrow wasn't large nor was it incredibly lethal. But it definitely got the armies attention. The children all drew their bows on Sera, and Anne looked to her in shock. That didn't stop the fight however. The mistress seemed enraged, and jumped at Alex as he was distracted by the explosion. She tackled him to the ground, her short sword pointed down at his throats and began to push. Alex grasped her wrists to resist, and tried to push the woman's blade away, but he was weak due to his injuries. "No...no,no no." Anne let out. But as Sera looked at her, she realized the twilight princess was thinking heavily on the situation.

"Sera, if you kill her we all die!" Anne yelled. "Yes! The girl...is right...you stupid urchling!" The mistress cried out as she continued to try and stab Alex. He blade got closer to his throat every second. "If only you had a chip in you. I'd have you dead right now! Soon enough! HYA!" She exclaimed as she continued to push down on the Deity. "Wait, her controls!" Anne let out. "ALEX! HER WRIST!" She called at alex. He turned his head to Anne, confused, then a dawn of realization came over him. He began to push the blade forward down to his chest, so that it wasn't aimed to his throat. Then, he let got of the mistresses wrists. The blade plummeted into his chest as he drew the last knife from his hip and impaled the mistresses left wrist. He gasped in pain, and his body shook from the blow of the sword. But, this strike had the mistress fall off of him in agony. The knife stabbed straight through her wrists, and the blade exited with blood coated on it. "Why...you...insufferable..." She let out. Sparks flew from her wrist, and Sera realized that her controls for the children had been destroyed. Alex lay on the ground in agony, paralyzed in pain. She walked up to him, and drew another knife from her belt. "I'll kill you. With one hand! You idiotic-AH!" The mistress let out a cry as a dark black arrow pierced her side. She fell to her knee, a look of pain, agony and hatred all in on on her old face. She looked to Sera, but saw her arrow was knocked, but that was because the arrow didn't come from the girl. In fact, it came one of the children on top of the roof. Some of the children aimed their bows at the child... But many, in fact the majority aimed their bows at the mistress. Soon, the ones who aimed at the shooter aimed at the mistress as well. "W-what are you doing?!" The elder let out. "You are going to betray me?! After I've raised you?! Clothed you?! Given you your lives?! You wouldn't-" Another arrow pierced her leg. She fell down to her knees in agony. "Ahhh!" She cried. "You stupid. Little. Twats!" "Sera...." Anne said as she tugged at her arm. "Kneel down. Right now." As Sera turned, she saw that the army behind them had all of their bows aimed at the mistress, and the two girls were in their way....

Anne knelt down with her, and the mistress looked at the girls movement with fear. She looked around her, then Alex who was in front of her. "YOU." She cursed Alex. "YOU WILL PAY!" She cried as she lunged at the currently recovering Alex. Then, the sound of arrows filled the air and their shadows darkened the area. Arrow after arrow whizzed by Anne and sera's head, and the force they carried was enough to create a breeze that moved their long hair forward. Arrows shot from the buildings, and the allies, the roofs and the streets all with one target. Arrow after arrow impaled the mistress. She didn't even have time to reach alex before she was dead from every single arrow that impaled her. They kept flying, until they stopped. This left a figure that couldn't touch the ground due to the arrows that held her up. The mistress couldn't even be recognized and looked like a dummy as the arrows tore through her clothing and left her looking like an expanded puffer fish.

Anne ran towards Alex, who still lay on the ground. She knelt down beside him and looked at his wounds. "Alex?! Alex!" She yelled at him, worried. He seemed in and out of consciousness, but his eyes opened to look at the woman who was above him. "Oh...hey you." He greeted weakly. "I...think that may have been a little over kill. Personally." Even while weak, alex cracked a joke and a smile. He barely brought himself up before Anne wrapped her arms around his neck, even though he was covered in blood from his wound. He relaxed, but clearly he was in need of some medical attention.

Sera notched a slim green arrow and shot it at Alex, who glowed green and white briefly. He then felt a relaxing wave come over him, and his wounds slowly started to heal. "Healing stim, that should help."

He cursed as the arrow hit him with surprise, but he then felt the effect of the arrow and almost went limp in Anne's arms. "Man...they should really mass produce those arrows or something." Alex said weakly again. But his cuts began to heal up. Anne laughed lightly as she looked at him. But, sera couldn't shake the feeling that all of the kids were still there. All of the kids had gotten off the roof, and now they all began to crowd around three of them. There seemed to be fifty of them in total. Alex looked around, and leaned up as soon as he could. Anne helped him up, but he had to use her as support. "Uhhh...yes?" He asked the kids. The children did not respond. They just continued to look at the group. "Why...why are you all just...staring?" He asked them. In unison, they all turned opposite ways so they wouldn't be facing Alex. "UMMMMMMMMMMM." He let out awkwardly.

She kneeled down in front of the kids, and raised her eyebrow. "Do any of you know how to talk?"

None of them responded to Sera. "Yo! The lady asked you kids a question!" Alex stated. Then, they all spoke in unison. "Yes we know how to talk." They all said. "Okay...this is a little weird..." Anne admitted.

"I'm not really sure what's going on....Maybe there mind is linked or something?"

"No. Pretty sure I know what's going on here." Alex said. "Hey! You!" He asked one of the kids. "Yes, master?" The child answered. It sounded like a young girl from under her hood "Master...? Why are you calling me that?" "Well, you rescued us! So we serve you now!"

"Shit....Its worse then I thought. We need to get these kids help Alex, unbrainwash them."

"Ya...no kidding. There's only one way to help these kids now... We gotta bring em back to castle Coldbourne." "How are you gunna help them, Alex?" Anne asked him. "Well for one they won't be child soldiers anymore. Let's do that now." He said as he cleared his throat. "Hey! Drop your weapons! You ain't soldiers anymore!" He stated. Soon after, the clinging of bows hitting the ground filled the streets. They all dropped their weapons at once. "Second of all! I order you to only follow my orders, if you want to! You're kids! Live a little!" Alex demanded. The children stood around, and some seemed to be discussing things now. One of the kids up front spoke up. "Wait. Isn't that a paradox?" The boy said as he took off his hood to reveal a face of maybe fourteen years. He had red Curly hair and freckles. "What do you mean is that the paradox?" Alex asked him, "Well, if you order us not to follow your orders, aren't we following your order to not follow your orders? And if we don't follow your order now, wouldn't we continue following your orders?" Alex looked at the kid, dumbfounded, "Well...he's got you there." Anne said jokingly.

Sera chuckled at the paradox, she enjoyed seeing Alex become flustered. "Guess you'd better rethink you're statement."

"Ugh. Okay. KIDS! MUNCHKINS! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW ALL OF MY ORDERS, BUT YOU CAN, IF YOU WANT TOO. YOUR LIVES ARE YOUR OWN!" He yelled. The kids began to talk again about the command, which seemed as if it would work. The red headed child ahead of the group thought about the command for a moment before shrugging in acceptance. "Well." He started. "We...don't know where to go. Can't we just follow you? If we want to?" "Uhhhhh..." Alex thought. Anne nudged him and smiled at the child. "Ow! What? Yes?! Ya! Sure what the hell. We can go back to the Ko-Rudo mountains and watch Star Wars or something." The children cheered at the idea. With that, the three walked out of the town, with the massive group following behind them. They arrived at the infinite corp camp, where Alex ordered for the cargo plane to pick them up. With that, the three and all of the former child soldiers got on the plane, and went home. Meanwhile on the plane, Anne was asleep, and so were many of the children. Of course, Alex and Sera were still awake. "So! That was something don't you think?" He asked her.

"It was definitely different. Who knew one of the leaders of the clan would be there. You struck a major blow with her death, but something tells me there will be retaliation."
