The Last Jedi trailer (at 5PM BST) and your favourite trailer music ever?
So yeah, the first trailer for Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is being shown at the Star Wars Celebration at 4PM BST, and will then go live (if it's not leaked first, though presumably in shit quality) an hour later. It's apparently just a teaser, but that's what they titled the Ragnarok trailer and that was pretty meaty.
Besides, it's April and the film comes out in December. We should be seeing a bit of it by now.
In the meantime, what is your favourite trailer score ever? Mine would have to be this slice of utter magnificence, from - yes - The Force Awakens. My apologies to Marty (Finish the Fight [i]is[/i] the score to my favourite trailer ever, but not my favourite trailer score), to Hans Zimmer, to... Jeremy Soule and Jack Wall, I guess, too, but this... the light innocence and curiosity of the piano, swelling to incomparable bombast and grandeur, the epic return of the single most iconic franchise in fiction.
How about you?

4 RepliesI'm so excited for Luke to be all depressed and refuse to help Rey train to become a Jedi then something happen and he sees the light again and trains her to only die in the end at Kylo hands.. maybe get a landing party of Yoda, Obi Wan and Anakin as ghosts to help Luke see the light again... [spoiler]but really there should be a couple good fight scenes[/spoiler]

The Force Awakens trailer music gave me chills. I know a lot of people were disappointed by the movie itself but I personally enjoyed it overall - but it was too much like A New Hope.

2 RepliesI realize it's early days yet but didn't see anything in the trailer to get me exited. I guess they figure they can go the slow burn approach. It's interesting that they seem to be pushing Star Wars away from its roots as pulpy good vs evil to more shades of grey. I guess that's more in keeping with the current Zeitgeist. Still, can't help but feel some of the charm of the originals is the innocence and simplicity.

5 RepliesHYPED!! One of my favorite trailers is the teaser for The Dark Knight. Nothing is shown but hearing Heath Ledger's Joker laugh at the end still chills me to the bone.

I found it sort of boring to be completely honest. I guess it was just a teaser. However I did like the man of steel type shot of the ground rising.
