"That's up to you, cowboy." She replies, a smirk appearing on her face.
Go wild and free. ;)
"I got whiskey in my room, you in?"
-
"Oh...I'm in." She replies, walking with JT to wherever he hid the whiskey.
-
JT had entered his personal quarters, which consisted of a modern-looking living room, with a bedroom and personal bathroom on the right wall. He walked to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of whiskey and approached the counter on the left side of the room where his kitchen was situated. He poured the drink into two glasses and handed one to Liara.
-
"Cowboy, can I...ask you a question?" She asks, beginning to drink it.
-
"Sure, fire away."
-
"Have you ever wondered when you'll ever...settle down? Stop doing your job and just...live the rest of your life in peace?" She asks, beginning to down her drink.
-
"All the time. Why?"
-
"I...don't know about me. Asari live to be 1,000 years old...and I'm only 109. How in the Goddess does one person like me rest. I...don't even know where to start...there's worrying about defenses, the next in lineage to be the Shadow Broker, potential assassins..." She seems to be rambling on about the fear of her dying to earlier. Perhaps some intervention will help...

"Liara, -blam!- that - Live life freely. You want something? Take it. You want to try something? Jump in head-first. Life ain't worth giving a shit about, so make your future an afterthought and live in the moment."
-
"I know, but...what about all those people who want to kill us? What about them? Should we not care that they'll somehow find some way of ending any of us? I..." Liara had replied, tears starting to well up in her eyes.
-
"Liara trust me. We can take them on, you'll always be able to call me up, I'll fight with you whenever."
-
"And what happens when you aren't there, huh?!" She cries out, curling up ins a corner of the room
-
"Liara! Please, I'll always be here, just trust me!" JT pleaded to her as he started walking over. He knelt beside Liara, looking at her with truth in his eyes. "I've always got an ace up my sleeve L, and when I'm all out of aces, I can rely on those around me. I'm an ace, you're the gambler; I'm your card, Liara."
-
She slowly, but surely smiles. She wipes the tears off, at least better than the couple seconds before. "Thanks...I...just...I don't know, anymore. Almost two years into being the damn Shadow Broker...and here I am, literally on the verge of crying." She replies, laughing sadly.
-
"Well at least you're with the person who's happy to see you, crying or not, eh?" JT remarked, a chuckle gracing his words at that last part. He stood slowly, extending a hand to Liara.
-
"Yeah...I...guess I kinda am." She says, grabbing JT's hand, wiping away her teas with the other. "Should we finish our drinks? I'm...thirsty for more of that whiskey." She replies, a small smile forming on her face...for real.
-
"Well they'll get cold otherwise," JT jokingly stated as he slowly pulled Liara to her feet.
-
"Of course." She replies, walking over to the drinks and downed the rest of her glass.
-
JT drank his as well and poured another shot for both of them.
-
She downed that shot as well. "More!" She replies.
-
JT gave another, downed hus, and poured himself one.
-
"Give me that!" She yells, grabbing the bottle to put herself another shot.
-
JT chuckled and grabbed a second whiskey, which he started to chug down.
-
She does the same, her eyes opening up more from the intake.
