An Upcoming Threat: Harkon Avilleon

It was getting close to midnight on the jungle world, Venus. A lone warlock was walking through the thicket-- this was his private getaway, to think without distractions-- so a narrow path in the dirt had already been worn down. "Calm and collected. Step into the Void-- respect it for once in, the Void will decide if you shall return or not. Once you gained the favor of the Void, step back into reality..." Kyle wrote in his journal as he thought aloud. "To Blink through Void is an art. It requires practice, and calm resolve." "Is that so?" Said a shapeless voice, followed by a shrieking, bone-chilling laugh. "Who's there?!" Kyle asked assertively as he drew his sidearm from the holster on his back. He looked around the forest, but in the dense bushes and jet black night, he saw no one. "You're a big man... Big bones, too, huh?" The voice seemed to surround the warlock. He looked around, panicking. "Don't get any closer! I'm supered!" Kyle shouted into the night. He looked in the direction of the sound of bushes shuffling. "Supered?" Said the voice with another blood curdling laugh. "Well, so am I..." Kyle looked up in the branches to see an opening into the Void. As if leaking through a tear in reality, Void fissured out in a disc of purple. "Who are you?" Kyle asked, a little less scared now that he saw the figure. There was no reply. "Who... the h***... are you?!" He asked again. An arrow flew through the sky, sticking into the bark of a tree. It reached out and caught Kyle's arm. Kyle looked at his arm, then back to the hunter in the tree. Two more arrows flew by, tethering the warlock's waist and his legs. The hunter dropped down into the dirt. He stood up and slowly walked to Kyle. The warlock took a shot at the attacker. The hunter didn't say anything, just looked down at the bleeding wound. He continued to walk towards the warlock. He reached his hand into his jacket. "Which one? Your choice. Which one? Which one? Which one? Nikki, Alex, or Wayne? They all slice so well..." the hunter laughed again. "What?!" Kyle raised his weapon again, but the hunter grabbed the tether and yanked his feet out from under him. The hunter knelt down by the warlock, who was now laying on the ground. "You see, I don't use guns..." the hunter spoke as if he was trying to sooth Kyle. "Guns..." the hunter laughed as he played with Kyle's chin forcing him to stare at the Void. "Guns are just no fun... And I can't risk shattering my prize. Now knives are better," the hunter pulled out a knife and held it to the stomach of the warlock. "Knives cut so clean, and I know when I hit bone so I don't ruin them..." "What do you want?!!" Kyle asked his face turned red and all distorted. The warlock was crying from fear. The hunter pulled back. "Did I upset you? Oh, don't cry! Don't cry! Don't cry!" The hunter was panicking now. "This is nothing personal, I'm just looking for armor like you..." The hunter fell back into a sitting potion. He held up his left hand. "Do you like my glove? I had to kill two different captains for my knuckle and hand guard-- they don't have five fingers like we do, you know," he rolled his arm over showing the skeleton climbing up it. "My arms are the spine of a wyrm..." he laughed sadisticly as he recalled the hunt. "Oh, that was a fun kill. The spikes are nice touch don't you think?" The hunter stood up again. "I think you see my conundrum now, don't you?" He chuckled as he patted his chest. "My chest is just so exposed... and I haven't found anything with a big enough ribcage for me yet... I think you will suffice..." The hunter knelt down again. "Like I said, nothing personal..." Kyle squirmed around, "Please don't! No! Please!! Please!! Have mercy!!!" "Stop moving..." the hunter said as he tried to hold the warlock still. "I need to miss the bone..." "Please!! Don't do this!! I have a family!!" Kyle tried to break free of the tethers. "You're actually not the first person to say that..." The hunter plucked the arrow tied to Kyle's feet then stuck it higher up, suspending him in the air like a hammock. The hunter grabbed Kyle's cheeks again, "Now will you please stay still for me?" The hunter took his knife and plunged it into the warlock's flesh, he hummed to himself as he started to carve out the ribcage. Kyle's screams of agony was just ambience in the night to him.
