"Alright, here goes.." Irina didn't question the strangeness of the situation, as her cybernetic hand clutched the thread lightly.

"It needs to touch skin, silly! Here!" Panta places the thread on Irina's cheek. Irina instantly spots the woman that resembles a dying star behind Panta. Astari had a blank expression as she stared Irina in the eye. A flicker of power surged in Astari's eyes.

Edited by Orn: 4/23/2017 8:19:37 PMIrina allowed the thread to touch her flesh cheek, and returned the motion to Astari - she stared right at Panta's mother as she rose up, studying her with such an intrigue and curiosity, as if she was complexly considering the woman's odd appearance. "You must be Mrs. Rhei...or Astari, I suppose."
-
Edited by Stitch: 4/24/2017 3:12:49 AM"Yes, I am Asteri, Panta's mother. You are the woman Isaac was cloned from?" Panta hugs her mother tightly with a wide smile and Asteri gently returns the hug. "Isn't my mother great?!"
-
"Yes, I am. Irina, is what I go by. Pleasure to meet you." Irina was choosing her words considerably carefully, since she wasn't aware of what this woman was capable of. Probably some form of magic considering her form, melee experience...plus she appeared to be a spirit. She'd have to be careful. "I've seen that my son and Panta have gotten acquainted, then?"
-
Asteri nodded and even smiled a little. "Yes, it appears our children are rather close now. Isn't that good news?" Asteri's eyes dimmed a little, the dying power within her evident.
-
"It's good. Isaac's much happier than he was before he met Panta, now he's simply jolly. Couldn't get him to stop talking about her at times." Irina chuckled, before continuing. "Nevertheless, he wasn't wrong. Pan is a truly sweet girl. She reminds me of a younger Arianna...well, if my little girl didn't concern herself with combat."
-
Edited by Stitch: 4/24/2017 1:38:39 PMAsteri chuckles lightly and nods while one hand messes with Panta's hair in a playful manner. "Thank you. Panta has been talking almost nonstop about Isaac as well." "Moooom!" Asteri laughs a bit more before Panta tugs on her mother's arm a little to get her attention. "Mom?" "Yes, Panta?" "I was wondering about maybe...possibly...learning a little self-defence? I feel like a...like a reliability." Asteri sighs and shakes her head. "Panta..." "Mom, I just-" "Panta, you have to understand that once you start you won't ever be satisfied. You'll want to keep growing and might lose yourself doing so. There's no such thing as 'learning a little' when it comes to our family." "But Isaac is out fighting for what's right and I'm just sitting here, picking flowers." "There's nothing wrong with that, Panta. Not everyone is a fighter." "I could be! You don't understand how terrible I felt when he suddenly vanished for a month and I couldn't do anything." "I've never left your side, Panta. I know how you felt."
-
"Panta, she's right.." Irina stepped into the conversation, taking a deep breath before she spoke once more. "Learning combat isn't something that just stops; there's always an urge to continue. Always that feeling that you can grow into a much more seasoned fighter. Eventually, that feeling manipulates your choices. It makes you more violent. It makes you do things that months ago, you'd never think that you'd do. If you feel like you can handle those feelings...and if your mother approves, I would be more than happy to teach you. But I would have to ask you to swear to never use what you learn in any evil manner, otherwise you'd... ...You would end up like me." Irina went silent immediately afterwards, allowing the wind to brush past her face as she merely sighed.
-
Panta smiled widely and leaped over at Irina as fast as she could and hugged her tightly. She let out a cute squeal. "Yes! Yes! Thank you! I swear I'll be good! A-" "No." Asteri interrupted sternly. Her expression was serious. "No way." Panta let go over Irina and looked back at her mother with a frown, clearly upset and disappointed. "Mom! Come on! I-" "No." "Mom! I can do thi-" "No." Panta began to get angry, her face reddening from her mother continuing to interrupt her repeatedly. "Listen to me!" "I said no and that's final." "At least listen!"
-
"Mrs. Rhei, if I may?" Irina inquired, before continuing. "You know as well as I do that Panta can't hide or run from everything that poses a threat to her. It is simply impossible. For the girl to live here, she must at least have a way of fighting back, even if there is a chance that she would betray us. You would prefer your child to be strong in the face of danger, instead of being mercilessly slaughtered, I'd hope...? In that case...I will teach her. She will learn to stand her ground, and to do her part in this realm. And if she uses her capabilities for evil...then I shall take the blame, and handle the situation on my own. Understand?"
-
"Please, mom?!" Panta looked up at her mother with pleading eyes. Asteri closed hers and sighs, a small amount of red mist began to come out of the side of her closed eyes. With reluctance in her voice Asteri answered. "Irina, you may teach my daughter." "YES!" Panta hopped up and down before she hugged her mother and nuzzled her. The little girl was ecstatic and it showed through her wide smile. "Yes! Yes!"
-
"Thank you." Irina smiled proudly, bowing deeply towards Asteri. She rose up, clasping he hands together as she thought upon the action she had taken: It would be a long process. But she would train this girl.
-
Panta released her mother and now leaped over at Irina to tightly hug and nuzzle her. Arista sighed again as the mist sunk down and formed a small ring around her feet. "If Panta shows a single sign of aggression or lust for power the training instantly stops."
-
"Understood." That was all that Irina said to Asteri, as she merely hugged Pan with a smile. As Asteri disappeared, she looked down at Panta, her cybernetic hands lightly grasping her shoulders. "Listen. We'll have to start off with the boring stuff first, alright? We'll have to begin with exercise. Get your body into shape."
-
"Whatever you say, Irina! I'll do as you tell me! I'll be the best student ever!" Panta continued to hug Irina with a smile. Asteri vanished. "What kind of exercises? I know I'm not the strongest..."
-
"To build up athleticism and strength, we'll have to get you to work out a bit. Least to where you can lift a short sword and begin to learn how to swing properly. So that means that I'll have to set you up some running tracks, maybe weightlifting, maybe even a specific diet. This is something that you have to be dedicated to." Irina calmly explained, trying to speak to Panta in a somewhat serious tone. It would either end in success, or Pan or Asteri (maybe Irina, even) asking the training to stop.
-
Edited by Stitch: 4/25/2017 5:45:10 PM"I'll do whatever you say, Irina! I'll be the bestest student in the whole world! I'll work really really hard!" The girl's excitement knew no limits. "I can't wait!
-
"That's reassuring, kiddo. C'mon." And so, Irina stood up and began leading Panta to the training grounds - specifically, to Courtyard A2.
-
"Okay!" Panta followed closely behind, smiling widely.
-
Soon, Panta and Irina found themselves in the courtyard, as Irina turned to face the teenager. "Alright, first things first. We need to decide on what type of weapon you'll be utilizing. We won't be starting this off with the weapon itself, but instead, build up your suitable strength for said weapon. I'm thinking that you'd be a short sword type of gal, to be honest...maybe a dagger."
-
Panta's scrawny arms, legs, and body seem to agree with Irina. Panta shrugs. "Okay. I don't know anything about weapons so I guess I'll go with what you decide."
-
"Alright, first things first. We need to set up a schedule for you to work out, probably for every day of the week. You'll be jogging. And doing push-ups. And jumping jacks. And maybe lifting weights. Understood?"
-
"Yes, ma'am!" Panta playfully replies, saluting and giggling.
-
"Saluting? I like it." Irina giggled, before turning serious. "Now, let's get to jogging. You start."
-
"Uhh....okay." Panta lightly jogs forward, unsure of where to go. "Where am I going?"
