Chapter Seventeen
Royal stood in the thin layer of snow that had settled in the grand city of Teluria. The buildings were tall and glassy and reached for the skies wherever they were. People drove their cars at incredible speeds as the roads were very wide, which was interesting considering that this was a densely populated city. It was a infrastructural miracle in a way. The weather was chilly, so the snow had remained there for the many days since it did snow. People walked past Roy and Joseph, talking about how weird it was that it happened.
"Roy. C'mon." Joseph said as he continued to walk.

"Sorry. It's just..... Holy crap did she really do this?" Royal asked Joseph, whispering so that anyone who was eavesdropping, if anyone, couldn't hear his words
-
"That's the only think I could think of. I'm just wondering if she did do this, how the hell did she get here so fast?" He asked as the two continued their way down the street.
-
"How long were we out? Do you know?" Royal asked, glancing around the city as he walked
-
"Patrick's said we were out for a day, apparently. So that's why I'm wondering how she managed to get here!"
-
"A day.... Well it's entirely possible she got here in that time. Maybe plane...." Royal commented as he drifted off into thought. How had She done it? Surely there wasn't anything big she could have done without making an entrance...
-
"From what airport though? If she arrived at the Ko-rudo strip the Coldbourne's would've taken her." Joseph debated.
-
"Not necessarily. If she came in with an Alias prior to arriving..."
-
"You don't think they would recognize the boss's daughter, Royal?" He asked him now.
-
"Fair point, fair point. You got any ideas?" Royal asked, glancing at Joseph
-
"Well. I looked at the files on my phone on the way here. I've been thinking of what we should do, and I think we should go check out a nightclub downtown. It's called "Wisky Dix." Very subtle, right? Fact is, the Shadow could be there. We go there, find him and get some answers no matter what."
-
"No matter what... Ominous. I like it." Royal said with a chuckle, his armour forming over his body
-
"Damn right. So you just wanna charge in there and shoot the place up? Or do you wanna play this tactically?" He asked Roy as he nodded his head to his suit of armour.
-
"We're gonna play this tactically. No point in exposing ourselves, or intentions." Royal said, stopping for a moment as he looked at a wall
-
"So that's why you are gunna wear that suit and draw the attention off yourself right?" Joseph asked him sarcastically now as the two made their way down Main Street, out of the snowy area.
-
"Precisely. We want some attention, but too much attention. Ya feel me?"
-
sorry for slow replies!
"...what so the shadow knows who to talk to?" He asked Roy. They neared a street named "Sphinx street" and turned down it. The buildings were smaller and looked older here with a dark red design that gave off a musty scent.
-
You good
"You could say it's something like that I suppose, yes. Maybe. Possibly. I dunno." Roy fell silent
-
"You actually don't have a plan do you?" Joseph said to him with a grin. Roy could see the sign "whisky dix" Just down the street. It had a purple neon sign on the front of its old building with its name and a woman doing a...interesting pose.
-
"I'm not one that usually has a plan, no." Roy said with a chuckle.
-
"Well. Looks like we'll just have to improvise." Joseph replied as they walked up the door. A large, dark skinned bouncer stood outside the door and raised his hand to stop the two. "Who are you two? And what's up with the armour guy?" The man asked them in a low voice. "I'm Roland. I'm a tourist of different worlds. This is my bodyguard Ben Colton." Joseph lied as he gestured to Royal. "Uh-huh. You got any weapons on you?" He asked both of them. "Ya. We do." He told him honestly. "Gunna need to take those. The guard can keep his fancy armour though. Even if he won't need it. Unless he causes trouble that is."
-
Royal took the sword off his back, handing in over to the bodyguard. He quickly followed up by drawing a hand gun, also handing it over
-
Jospeh took his revolver off his side and handed it to the bouncer, as well as the large knife he had on his side. The bouncer took the weapons and opened the wall on the right where a drawer/container was revealed. He put everything inside and closed it. "Alright. You're clear to go. No touching the girls though, got it?" He told them.
-
"I'm Asexual. I don't know what girls are." Royal said, crossing his arms over his chest
-
"Uh...what?" The bouncer asked him. Confused.
-
"An Asexual. Someone who doesn't care for any race, Gender, or otherwise things that make up a person. People who just don't give a shit"
