"Thank you, sir. Happy to serve." Royal said, going down ahead of Joseph

Royal entered the dark, orange lit bar. There were tables packed with people everywhere and Jazz played through the speakers positioned all around the low ceiling room. There was a catwalk, where...many, women, had taken the floor. There was a bar on the right with shelves of drinks behind it all lit with neon lights to make a fantastically cool effect. On the north wall, there seemed to be a door with a window beside it. Blinds were down on the window so one couldn't see in. "Oh god I really hope Lilly didn't end up coming here." Joseph said. "They wouldn't let a minor in here right?"
-
"I mean ... Most likely not? Unless she bribed her way in of course."
-
"Ugh...I don't want to think about that. Anyways, I'm going to the bar. Maybe I can find some leads on em. Wanna tail along?"
-
"As your security guard, it seems I have to. Don't you think? Boss." He emphasized the word boss, as he moved towards the bar
-
"Uh huh. That it is." Joseph played along as he sat at the bar as well. He waved the bartender over, and the red suited man walked over. "Yes?" The pasty man asked. "Need some drinks." Joseph replied "....okay? Are you gunna elaborate?" "Agh...." Joseph seemed to struggle as he tried to think of a drink to order.
-
"Johnnie Walker Black on the rocks." Roy said, stepping up to order
-
"One Johnny coming up." The bartender said as he went to the shelves. Joseph rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
-
"It's alright sir." Royal said, patting Joseph's back
-
Joseph turned his head to the left, towards the north wall. He nodded his head towards it. "You see the office?" He asked Roy.
-
Royal quickly looked up, looking nonchalant about it as it he we simply looking for any risks
-
"Think that's where he's at?" Joseph asked Jim quietly as the bartender came back and slid them their drinks.
-
"No, it couldn't be. He'd have to be on the downlow, right?" Royal asked, picking up his drink
-
"When you have crate of dirt on the police force as well as politicians, I don't think you'd have to..." Joseph commented as he took a sip of his drink.
-
"How do you suggest we get in there to find out? Or should we bring him out?" Royal asked, also taking a sip of his drink
-
"...Hell. We could just talk to him." Joseph said out of no where.
-
"Just ask him about a potential ID he gave to Lillith Couldbourne?" Royal asked, finishing his drink quickly and putting the glass down
-
"Ya. We aren't here to bust his own show, right? Why would he not wanna meet us and potentially gain info on us? He has no reason to." "Are you two gunna keep talking about meeting the man or are you gunna actually go talk to him?" The bartender suddenly interrupted. "Uhhh..." Joseph started. "I'm not sure what-" "We all know who you two are looking for. For -blam!-s sake everyone can hear you." The entire room, including the women, nodded at the two who sat at the bar. "Well...then...." Joseph said as he awkwardly sipped the rest of his glass.
-
"Great." Royal said, patting Joseph's back. "Whenever you're ready, boss."
-
"Ya let's just get this over with." Joseph said as he stood up from the stool and walked to the office door. With Roy behind him, he knocked on the steel door. After a moment, a voice was heard. "Come in." It said.
-
"Well go on, boss. Open the door." Roy Crossed his arms, waiting for Joseph to make a move
-
Joseph opened the door so the two could enter. The office was dim and dark. There was a Mahogany desk near the back and light crept through the blinds on be window. There were shelves on the left side of the room, stacked with books and drinks. There was a lamp that lit the desk up, and there was a figure who had their back away from the two on their entrance. They could only see a patch of black hair from the figure who sat on the large chair. There were two chairs in front of the desk. "You don't have to stand. Sit down." The voice told them. Joseph shrugged as he sat down in the left chair.
-
Royal took a seat in the right chair, looking at the chair were the back of the man's head would be
-
"Jospeh Anderson. Former leader of the north peak resistance turned Coldbourne sergeant." The person In the chair said. Joseph raised an eyebrow and his leg bobbed up and down. "How did you...?" "And Royal of the Dojo. Sensei, warrior, and a list of other professions that make you rather distinguished."
-
"Yup." Royal said, leaning back in the chair
-
The chair turned around, which revealed a character Royal may not have been expecting. There was a woman sitting in the large black leather chair. She had dark brown skin and a long set of black hair. Her eyes were large and her lips were pursed as she tapped on the tablet she held in her arm. "You two tracked my location rather quick. It's not like I made it difficult to begin with but when people seek me out I tend to want to know why." The shadow said to the two of them.
