Why do YOU still play Destiny?
Seriously...
I popped on last night to play a few strikes, but after 1 Strike I just felt sick and switched off. I looked at all the pathetic posts on LFG:-
* 400's Only
* 3 deaths you get booted
* Must have Emblem
* 20+ Raid Clears Only (Checking Stats)
* No Squeakers
Destiny 2 is just around the corner and people are still taking this shit serious; for gear that is going to be obsolete in a month or 2. NOTHING IS GETTING CARRIED OVER!
Don't you guys understand?
I can understand sub 5000 Grimoire Iron Pups that just recently bought the game are still playing, but for everyone else; what keeps you playing this re-skinned / rehashed garbage?

I still play because this game is fun, why else would anyone be playing a game? I don't understand why you are still complaining about destiny 1 if destiny 2 comes out soon.

8 Replies1) The game is super fun. 2) The gear will never be obselete until Bungie stops supporting Destiny 1. 3) Destiny 2 comes out in about 4 and a half months, not one or two.

For the exact same reason there's still people out there who play Diablo 2 and starcraft competitively. For all of its faults, this is still one hell of a game. Also, I only really play with friends and clanmates so there's still lots of fun to be had in just the random bullshit. Been here since the first week, and I'll probably still be playing it up til the day D2 drops.

Since they changed up the playlists I play crucible every other week to keep up my #1 stats in supremacy....

The next thing you realize you're up all night sitting on the couch trying make sense of things. The next day you tell yourself you're done with it but find yourself doing the same crap that very same night. When you run out you frantically go in search for "content". So in a way you're the crack addict and bungie is the crack provider. Once they get you hooked, there's no going back.its part of the plan. So I've heard.

My friend just got RoI about a week after AoT. Helping him through all of the raids etc is kind of like me playing it again for the first time. Once he get's everything done though I'll probably catch up on a few other games before D2.

I play the game because it is fun and it's a good game despite it's flaws and the eltists who think because they have a of above 2 their God's or something and think there better than everyone else.

I play for the updated raids and skeleton keys for god roll guns. I know nothing carries over, but the armor is so good looking, I feel like I have to have it all lol. Joining groups with those requirements make things a lot easier and can get through the raids quickly. If everyone knows what they're doing, it's a lot more fun.
