Why do YOU still play Destiny?
Seriously...
I popped on last night to play a few strikes, but after 1 Strike I just felt sick and switched off. I looked at all the pathetic posts on LFG:-
* 400's Only
* 3 deaths you get booted
* Must have Emblem
* 20+ Raid Clears Only (Checking Stats)
* No Squeakers
Destiny 2 is just around the corner and people are still taking this shit serious; for gear that is going to be obsolete in a month or 2. NOTHING IS GETTING CARRIED OVER!
Don't you guys understand?
I can understand sub 5000 Grimoire Iron Pups that just recently bought the game are still playing, but for everyone else; what keeps you playing this re-skinned / rehashed garbage?

I personally just enjoy playing it because I'm a completionist. There are things I like doing that I've never completed, earned, or fount and among that I do the PvP thing from time to time. :)

I'm not garbage tier so I get into groups fairly easily, requirements have never really bothered me. As for still playing, nothing out ATM interests me, it's Destiny or Rocket League.

The reason I play destiny is because I've been on here since day 1, I can definitely tell the difference in a 500 million dollar shooter vs a 50 million dollar shooter. Destiny is my main. I can pay 120 bucks and get 3 years of game play.. I can pay 60 and play a game for a week or a month and then sale it cause it gets old. The guns in destiny shoot far superior to any game out right now. And believe me, those ppl on lfg are trying to find the players they are not, so they can get it done and be carried. Hmu if you ever wanna raid or do anything. I'm not a d bag and I get it done. I don't throw rage fits if someone -blam!-s up. It happens and we all start somewhere. I used to suck, but now I hold records on ps and xbox in pve for speed completions and kill counts for nightfall solos and heroic strikes. I wish they would make an iron banner event for pve players and combine sparrow racing and strikes into one and let the most kills and points be the winner. Solo players need more content. I got good because I hate most ppl and would rather just rely on myself.

The gameplay. This is were Bungie excels - they know how to make shooters for consoles. Destiny has a very fun gameplay that feels very accurate. This is what makes me coming back.

I still play because I personally like the game, but more so to have fun with friends.

1 ReplyBelieve it or not I really enjoy PvP so when I feel like shooting some guns, I'll usually always turn to Destiny. I've tried all the other FPS out there but they just don't make the cut I'm afraid.

I'm a big completionist when it comes to this game. I want to completely finish my book, fill up my kiosks as much as I can, finally get max grimoire, and finish some character sets. I enjoy playing, and I only get on a couple times a week anyways.

Because the game is still gonna be up for another 5 months and getting these items is just as good as getting fatebringer in y1. Think for a second. If everyone knew the dark below would raise the light and cause vault to be useless, you think people wouldve played it? Definitely. Get the gear while its still usefull. I wanna get legendary fatebringer, while its still usefull. I wanna get full raid armour for every raid, while its still usefull. Overall, just because a new game is coming out in half a year, doesnt mean the rewards from THIS game are useless. Will be, but not yet. We got 5 months.

It's flying across the map to titan smash some poor bastards like your leeroy Jenkins our self res like your a -blam!-ing magician come back from the dead to be a wanna be oprah Winfrey handing out grenades like it's g6's or dominating a few rusty banana matches like your a dancing ballerina with arc blades. I tend to play for a few months and then leave for a while, then I come back and play for a few more months... It's that damned RNG. It calls out to you. "Maybe you'll find a Jade Rabbit or an Eyasluna today!" But I never do. Sad panda.
