After a moment, and a few curses heard from Anne, she let out a declaration.
"Got it!" She yelled. Falk made his way back to the back of the truck, outfits in hand.
"You got the core?" He asked.
"Ya. I did." Anne told him as she took a large cylinder out of the back of the bomb. It had some green liquid in a glass window around a steel frame.

That being said he put the pieces together and saw that this was a photo album. As he looked at the photo, he saw that both alex and Anne were both incredibly happy as she smiled with him.
-
"They really did love each other....Reminds me of Mira and I." He continued to flip through the book
-
There were many more pictures of the two in the book. There was one of them by Coldbourne castle, another of Alex leaning on a railing on what looked to be a boat, the two running through a field. It seemed that even though Alex was busy, he took the time to be with Anne when he could.
-
"You were a good man Alex.... You'll be missed my many." He flipped to the last of the pages.

There were similar photos in the book, nothing that stood out to Zane in particular. But then suddenly, a voice cracked the silence. "Pretty damn rude to be going through a woman's things don't you think?" Said an unfamiliar voice that came from the darkness.
-
Edited by SDK Zane: 5/5/2017 6:09:23 PMHe quickly turned around and formed a 9mm handgun, aiming it at the voice. "And it's pretty stupid to sneak up on someone holding a gun, now why don't you step out of the shadows."
-
"Touché, Zane." Said the smooth sounding man. A figure seemed to rise from the shadows and enter the light of the campfire. It was a man, Zane could see. He was Zane's height and wore black clothing. He had dark black slick looking boots that had dark black baggy pants that were tucked into them. He had a long waisted torso wear that was black and had belts across it that had a dozen small knives all lined up. The shirt was slimmer and had dark fur around the neckline where the man's dark black hood came from. He wore a face mask, but Zane could make out his brown eyes from under the hood. His sleeves were baggy like his pants and they tucked into a vambrace that lead into a snug glove on both arms. He looked at Zane, then he simply sat down by the fire.
-
He closes Anne's binder and placed it back into the bag, then turned his full attention to the masked man. "So, you obviously know who I am. Why don't you introduce yourself?" His gun was still trained on the man, ready to fire in case he tried anything.
-
"You don't deserve that knowledge." The man told Zane bluntly. "You should ask more valuable questions, you only have a few more minutes before those two make their way back here."
-
"Rude, but alright then. Let's start with an easy one. What are your intentions?"
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 5/5/2017 6:36:33 PMThe man took a moment. He looked into the flames and did not make eye contact with Zane. "I'm here to kill a man. Like you are." He told Zane. He didn't seem to be a man of many words.
-
"Who assigned the contract, and is that contract on any of my friends or family?"
-
"I assigned myself to the task." The man told Zane with almost a sense of authority. "And no, you don't need to worry about your friends or family. None of them are my intended kill."
-
"Well that's a relief. Next question, why even bother reveling yourself and talking to me?"
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 5/5/2017 8:05:05 PM"Because I have something to tell you Zane." The man told him. He raised his hands to the fire and rubbed them together.
-
"And what would that be?" He asked. Perhaps this man is a nightingale, would explain his strange attire. He thought to himself.
-
The man held his hands together and lowered them to his knees. He sat cross legged by the fire and he didn't answer Zane immediately. Then, he looked up to Zane, his brown eyes darted at him. "I am going to kill you, Zane." He then said. The man said it so casually but Zane couldn't help but feel that there was something else there in his voice.
-
"Huh, your more then welcome to try. Many have tried...." He flicked his wrist and his Wicked dagger formed in his hand. He licked the blade before pointing it at the masked man. His eyes went dark, and his inner killer woke up for a just a second. "All have failed....."
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 5/5/2017 8:14:54 PM"I am aware." The man told Zane as he continued to sit where he was. "None of them were me." He looked up to Zane, then looked back into the flames. "Relax while you can. I won't kill you now."
-
He spun the dagger then dismissed it, his eyes returning to normal. "Why do you even want to kill me?"
-
"Duty, really." The man told Zane. But out of all the things he had told him, these two words seemed different then the rest. The man adjusted one of his belts across his chest and showed Zane the nightingale medallion on his shirt. But something wasn't right here. The nightingales only used child soldiers. This was a man talking to Zane now.
-
"As I thought, you work for them. But the clan only uses child soldiers, and you seem more then child....." He looked at the masked man again, studying his features. "Wait a minute....Your eyes look very familiar."
-
The man continued to look into the flames. He looked up to Zane for a moment before he spoke. "I decided sending children after you wasn't effective. So here I am with a promise to give to you. You won't know when, you will know why. But I will end your life, Zane. Your family will be there, that much is certain. But you won't know if it will happen while you sleep, or if you will be taken down by simply walking down the street. But, you will be damned no matter what." Then, Zane heard voices coming from the tunnel. "Zane? You still here?" Asked Falk from down the cave.
-
"Yeah Falk, I'm still here!" He yelled back before turning to where the masked man was. "You couldn't be...."
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 5/5/2017 8:43:58 PMBut, he could not ask the man his question. All that took the space where he sat was emptiness and the ash from the fire pit. Falk walked in, with Anne behind him. "The base looks like it has a small path that leads down to it." Falk told Zane. "We'll take that when we reach the place tomorrow."
