It would most certainly not be good for playstation, their pro sales have already be pretty low, so unless they would be making some drastic changes to the system (which even though technology moves fast, it doesnt move that fast), it would pretty much end up being the exact same thing everyone pretty much has, perhaps it could become on par with the scorpio but that is still not a major selling point for it since they have already done an attempted upgrade. It is just simply to much to fast. The ps4 pro is already mot selling nearly as well as they had hoped (and no where near what the regular ps4 is selling), i cant imagine that trying the same thing again after such a short period of time will be a good idea, i also cant imagine that sony is thinking that this would be a very good idea either. Doing something like this would also mess ip their game development, which as most people know is where companies like microsoft and sony make the majority of their money. In fact they make almost nothing on console sales and often even sell at a loss. However they know that console sales usually equal game sales, so they make more money in the long run. The ps4 has sold very well, so i cant imagine they want to then start to take another huge loss to get another generation of console out to customers. You want to know why the ps3 and xbox 360 lasted so long, it is because they had a console in pretty much every houshold and they were systems that could just keep pumping out games (which they released a lot near the end). Sony isnt about to undo all of its hard work on a new generation that might not end up selling (there by putting them in a hole that they had no reason to be near).
