"Well, I think stopping three apocalyptic events has made you a little wiser." Falk admitted.
-
"Definitely more patient, imagine a younger me trying to do this shit. I'd have already gotten spotted already."
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 5/10/2017 8:54:10 PM"That makes two of us." Falk agreed. He looked around through the thick snow and tapped his toes to the ground. "Life has definitely changed a lot over these last two years hey?"
-
"That is has, but I'd like to think its changed for the better."
-
"...besides a tyrannical empire taking over the world, ya." Falk pointed out to Zane.
-
"Well that among other things. Let's hope this is the last time we gotta set the world straight yeah?"
-
"I'll drink to that. After we get out of this cold as hell weather that is." Then, Zane could hear a buzzing from Falk's chest pocket. Falk reached into the pocket and pulled out a tiny flip phone. He raised it to his ear. "Anne?" He said. After a moment of silence he spoke again. "Got it." He said as he closed the phone and put it in his chest pocket. "Anne says there's movement in the sky." He told Zane.
-
He aimed his rifle up and looked down the sights, scanning the sky for the movement. "So, what kind of helicopter do you think this guy flies?"
-
Falk put his hand to Zane's rifle and lowered it. "Remember what we said about growing older and wiser? You just aimed a loaded assault rifle at a helicopter in a military base... And if I'm guessing, probably something small."
-
"Safety still on, so I can just claim I heard a suspicious noise." He flicked the safety to off and rested the rifle against his chest.
-
"I...don't actually think that's how the world-" Suddenly Falk was interrupted by a soldier that came from behind them. "Hey! What's up with the aiming?" The soldier asked Zane.
-
"Heard a aircraft, so I thought it belonged to an enemy. Sorry about that, them dojo forces got me paranoid."
-
"Oh ya man those guys are nuts!" The soldier said. "Anyways! Boss is here. So be on fucking point got it?" The soldier told Zane as he walked away. Falk looked at the man walking away with squinted eyes. "How...how can someone be so stupid...?" He questioned.
-
Zane chuckled as he patted his friend on the back, then went back to standing guard. "Don't know, don't really care. Just know I can bullshit my way outta anything."
-
"Not everything..." Falk told Zane as he gestured his head to the sky. Zane saw a massive white figure move through the heavy snow, which revealed to be a large Cargo Chopper with miniguns on all sides. The copter landed and the propellers died down. Dozens of men moved out to the chopper. "We need to go join them." Falk told Zane as he gestured to the forces gathering by the helicopter.
-
"Damn that thing is huge..." He jogged over to where the rest of the forces were gathering and stood at attention.
-
Falk followed along as the two reached be back of the rows the soldiers formed. The military formed a hallway of themselves in front of the helicopter which lead to the large base south of the military field.
-
He stood in line, and waited for Tywin to step out of the helicopter.
-
The door to the helicopter opened, and two massive robot looking figures stepped out. Zane had seen these sorts of things before. They wore massive T-51 power amoror suits that were painted white and had the new Coldbourne logo on their shoulders, a wolf with a blade impaled in its skull. They were armed with heavy light machine guns and they walked forward down the man made hallway a bit before two more identical figures jumps out. "Shit." Falk whispered. "Zane, only the AMNC had access to armour like that..."
-
"Well then, looks like Tywin took it upon himself to buy them out. Sal would be pissed if he saw his men like this...."
-
"Forget Sal, I'm pissed about this." Falk remarked in a hushed tone. Then, another man stepped out of the helicopter. His black cane with an ivory wolf pommel came first before his feet. He wore a thick dark grey wolf pelt cloak around his neck and wore a dark blue bear pelt coat around his body. He wore black underneath it all which included his thick Kevlar vest and black suited pants which tucked into his boots. However, he wore medieval gauntlets on his hands which seemed to emanate some form of power. His long white yet greying hair was unkept as his pale face looked dead ahead. Tywin Coldbourne was here.
-
Zane felt his anger building up from just seeing this man. He suppressed his urge to raise the rifle and shoot Tywin right in his smug face. "There he is....."
-
Then, Zane saw what was strapped around his body. The familiar weapon that Zane himself had used to defeat his nemesis repeatedly in the past. The blade that ended up killing his friend. The Infinite Blade. It was sheathed on the gruff man's back as he walked down the man made hall. He put his hand to his kept goatee but quickly lowered it casually as he made his way towards the base. "That bastard..." Falk whispered.
-
"Don't worry, il kill the bastard the same way he executed Alex...." He whispered back.
-
"Keep it quiet for now." Falk told Zane. "We aren't exactly in healthy company." Then, one of the armoured men announced to the crowd. "MAKE YOUR WAY INTO THE BUILDING. THE EMPEROR HAS A FEW WORDS TO SAY TO YOU USELESS CODS." He insulted. Everyone suddenly turned to the direction of the building, and Falk followed suit.
