She cries as turns around and hugs back.
"Please... don't go...."
English
-
"Sarah, I promised I wouldn't leave ya, remember?" He replies, holding her so tight she can feel his heartbeat.
-
"I... remember. But what if that promise breaks? Too much thinking is bad for me..... Sometimes... I wish... I wish... I wish I was a Titan or Hunter." She continues to cry.
-
"Sarah, have I e'er broken a promise to you?" He asks her.
-
"No.... But this one is based upon pure hope. Oh, light..."
-
He now has tears in his eyes. He cups her cheek so she looks him in the eye. "Sarah, I swear naw e'en death would keep me from you. An' besides, I've made it this far, right?"
-
She nods.
-
"An' I didn't have you all that time watchin' my back. Now I do. I don' think the odds are tha' bad." He smiles, though it's forced.
-
She forced a smile. "I think I've cracked it... why she's like this. Well, at least how to figure out, what exactly traumatized her. I know it's third life origin. Trust me, I tried reading through those memories, but it was so... uh... lengthy.... and horrible, I couldn't continue," Lunar said. "I don't like to think about that life. I'm lucky I'm able to quote the Book of Sorrows without thinking of well.... The events," Sarah replied.
-
"... Why in the Traveler's name would ya read that thing?"
-
"I was young, stuck on the Dreadnaught with the Hive, Mia as my only company. When I wasn't being tortured, I was bored." She suddenly falls silent again.
-
"Oh..." Finn replies, still hugging her. "Wow... That's... Huh. Really sinilar to Finn's story, albeit he had less company and it was Fallen, not Hive." Wisp says.
-
"The worst part is... Mia and I were mostly human. Although we had the Light in us, we couldn't hone it. It practically kept us alive. And we suffered. Until the Traveler whispered to us. Told us a way to hone our light and escape. While the whispers were cryptic, but I understood...." She tells.
-
"How long were you prisoner?" Wisp asks.
-
"15 years. Took 9 years to navigate the void to reach Earth," she replies.
-
"Wow..." Finn says, slight admiration in his voice. "Finn was prisoner of the Fallen for almost twenty before he was rescued. He didn't even get food that whole time." Wisp says,
-
"I practically didn't know what food was until my second year as a guardian," Sarah replied.
-
"Heh... Yeah." Finn laughs a bit. Suddenly, they hear someone approach them.
-
"What was that?" Sarah asked. Her eyes darted left and right, trying figure out what was approaching.
-
Finn stands up. "I dont know..." He draws a knife. "Guardians approaching." Wisp says.
-
"I have a bad feeling about this."
-
"Yeah..." Suddenly, a shotgun blast tears through the silence and Finn is thrown to his knees, blood gushing from his stomach. "Fíonn!" Wisp immediately moves to help him when a second shotgun blast sounds. The Ghost falls to the ground.
-
Sarah ran to Finn's side, weeping, "NO! No. Why....?" She turned to the guardians, "Why would you do this?"
-
The three Titans, lead by Arthur stand there. "He was a threat. We put him down." Finn clutches his now wide open stomach as he sinks to his knees. Blood begins to pool. "I... Hate Titans." He says, coughing out blood.
-
Tears streamed down her cheeks as her eyes turned silver. She lays her head on Finn's chest.
-
Finn coughs more blood. Arthur cocks his shotgun, pointing it at Sarah. "I can't have you healing him. Sorry."
