"I said get out."
He repeated turning away to grab his cloak.

"Oh, come now Canny. We may be trying to kill the other persons king, but we may as well be civil about it." She told him as she stood straight.
-
He crossed his arms. "You know there's no ending where you win, right? If I somehow fail, which I won't, someone else will succeed."
-
"Oh...we'll see about that soldier boy." She threatened as she walked to the dresser and hovered her fingers over it. "See, its all about the plan sweet heart. I don't suppose you have a plan yet besides...what is it...strangling me? Getting a good stab on me once I'm close? Tell me, Can, if you DO manage to kill me, how do you expect to get out of this place alive...?"
-
"That dosent matter." His voice remained calm. "I've been in far worse situations against far more powerful people." It was true. He'd fought and survived people who, on a bad day, would easily have been able to crush the entire Tokage clan without breaking a sweat.
-
"I bet you have." Diana told Can with a lot of doubt. "Improvising...mmmm...it can backfire quite a bit you know."
-
"So can not knowing your opponent. Which leaves you at a disadvantage. Know your self and your enemy, and you need not fear a thousand battles." He quoted the art of war.
-
"Ah...a fine piece of literature, Canny." Diana complimented with a hint of decisiveness as she looked around the room. "But not knowing something makes it's SO much more fun!"
-
"Which is why I'll win. Because you're too busy with your 'fun'." A smirk crossed his face as he said that. He knew he had an advantage over her.

Edited by Inflatablepants: 5/21/2017 9:08:01 PM"Maybe you have a point, Canny." Diana admitted as she approached the door. "But don't think this game is over yet...one of us has to fall first. Then we can bathe in victory." She told him as she opened the door and exited. Then, there was a scream. It didn't come from the house, it came from outside....
-
Cannon rushed put of the room towards the scream. "What's going on?!"
-
Ulfric ran down the steps as Diana put herself up against the dinner table. Bella ran behind Ulfric in her incredibly poofy pyjamas. "Can, you and me, outside. Diana get dressed and meet us out there. Bella, you stay here." Ulfric said as he left the house. Bella looked up at Can. "Can, whats going on?" She asked him. She was half asleep as Can could tell by her squinted eyes. It was 11:00pm at night, and she had gone to bed at around 9:00pm. Cannon had been outside in that time after him and Bella had prepared his room, but it was not for long.
-
Cannon nodded, keeping a hand on his dagger, and silently followed Ulfric. He expected some sort of trap or trick from Diana, but wasn't sure.
-
"Can? Can?!" Bella called out as she stayed in the home and was silenced by Cannon closing the door. Ulfric walked with haste, and Can saw the crowd. In the main market area all of the red and purple cloaked men and women gathered around something. Ulfric pushed through, which cleared a way for Can, and the two made their way to the front where Cannon saw the body. It was Marzia, the tailor who had given Can what he was wearing. She had an arrow pierced through her heart and her face was pale and her eyes were lifelessly open. "What happened?!" Ulfric asked as he looked around.
-
Cannon kneeled down to inspect the body more closely. Things like the color of the arrow's feathers would help determin who did this.
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 5/22/2017 1:32:39 AMThe feathers were not that of a Tokage, as Can observed. He felt like he had seen these before... "Make way, coming through here!" Yelled Welters as he approached the body. "God damnit. Seriously? Someone killed Marzia?!" "Welters!" Ulfric demanded. "What...who did this?!" "Gimme a moment Ulfric. Looks like Can had the right idea." Welters nodded to Can as he knelt down the side opposite of him to look down on Marzia. "Oh...shit." Welters swore as he looked at the green feathered arrow.
-
"That's... Is that a Grenwald arrow? Or is someone trying to frame them." Cannon asked quietly, more to himself than the others as he looked at it.
-
"Aye, a Grenwald arrow." Welters confirmed as he only heard what Can said to start with. "The Grenwalds..." Ulfric said softly. His fists clenched as he looked at the body. "HOW ARE THEY HERE?! HOW DID THEY FIND US!?" He yelled. Can had not seen Ulfric lose his cool like this before.
-
"There's no way. They just recently started to patrol across the border, and I'm certain they didn't follow me or Bella. So how could they be here? Aside from that, why would they ho for her of all people? No strategic value."
-
"The only thing that speaks to me right now, is that arrow, Canderouse!" Ulfric declared. "The two scouts you found...they may have answers. They could have gotten information back to the Grenwalds of our location!"
-
"How? They've been locked up. So unless one of the guards is a traitor, that dosent make sense. Anyone could have made a green feathered arrow to cover up a killing."
-
"But who would do that?" Welters asked. "We are brethren. No one would turn on another person here. Especially Marzia." "That's why the Grenwalds could have relayed the information back BEFORE their capture!!!" Ulfric let out. His mind was clouded with paranoia.
-
"That makes even less sense. They hardly passed the border and heading towards us, so they weren't going back to report. And we had them blindfolded when we brought them here." He then turned to Welter, who was obviously the more calm of the two. "Is there anyone who'd be questionable at all?"
-
"I can name someone..." Welters said with a bit of tongue and cheek. "Oh come ON Welters!" Ulfric yelled at him. "You may not have a good opinion of Diana but she wouldn't do this! Why would she? She's one of us and that's final! It's those Grenwald bastards who did this and I am going to prove it!" Ulfric declared as he stormed off towards the door at the end of the village. Welters let out a breath of annoyance as he looked at Marzia and the crowd spoke in hushed tones.
-
"Why do I have a feeling the prisoners are in danger now?" Cannon muttered.
-
Edited by Inflatablepants: 5/23/2017 1:19:34 AM"They are." A man from the crowd said. "But that's not our business. That's Ulfric's. for now, we clean this mess up and everyone goes back into their homes. Now." The man demanded. Everyone shuffled around before the group began to disperse. Welters looked up at Can. "You best get back to bed." He told Can. "You have quite the decision to make tomorrow. I'll take care of Marzia..."
