"Wow." Kasumi replied.
Thousands of Alliance frigates, fighters, dreadnoughts, and cruisers roamed over Pluto's moon, as Kodiaks from all over landed onto the planet.
Something went over the comms.
"Invictus, this is 11th fleet leader Marcus Germaine; do you copy?" Someone asked over their comms in an African accent.

"This is Ghost of the Invictus. Reporting for duty." The Mandalorian said over the comms
-
"Good; Anderson wants to see you on the planet. Approach at point Vector-2. I'll notify them Invictus has arrived." The soldier said.
-
"Alright. Heading there now." Ghost said, turning his head to the cockpit "Understood." Iseph's robotic voice was heard as the black ship made way for the planet
-
Near them, other Kodiaks joined them. Through the thick clouds of this part of the planet was some sort of booming industrial mining metropolis...Makos designated for mining were being fired to make new mines; people worked consistently at the field. Alliance soldiers watched them from afar, weapons at the ready. Up ahead, lighted up, was at least twenty or so landing zones, the Invictus being directed to the first one. "Certantly getting the VIP treatment, eh?" Velinnea said from behind the group. She was one of those who were picked up from the Dojo.
-
"Seems that way, sister. None of this feels right. It all feels.... Wrong to say the least." Ghost sighed heavily, as the Galactic map relayed an overview of current events in the war
-
It seems that a lot of things happened at once. The Serpent Nebula had become an engulfing war between the Krogan, Salarians, and Turians against the Asari Empire. The rogue asari states lost the Minos Wasteland to the Asari Empire. Cerberus activity had been spotted on Tuchanka, Omega, and Marek Prime. The Alliance colonies being attacked. And strangely...some civil war being sparked in Batarian territory. "Damn...you think Cerberus could've done all this?" Kaidan asked. "Could be. Feels like they want to destabilize as many armies as they can, then swoop in and take them all." Kasumi had said. Up at the cockpit, Vel had replied with, "Brother...I'm aware of the Illusive Man and that Brooks b***h...but who'd you think would lead something like this?"
-
"It's not Cerberus. It couldn't be... I mean this is all so advanced, there's so much..." Serendipity said, thinking about it "Cerberus is pretty massive, isn't it?" Ghost brought up "We need to ask around. Check our contacts." Serendipity said, trying to figure it out
-
Edited by A Stormy Dio: 5/22/2017 12:58:20 AMThe sound of everything was pretty much heard outside. Vel had opened the cargo bay doors for them...revealing a lot of things. Wounded crewmen from Alliance ships and breathing ones were being rushed to the med-bays, Makos were being driven left and right, carrying soldiers and supplies. Someone familiar made their way up to them. "Well there you bloody wankers are!" Merrick said, running up to the group "Haven't seen for the past couple weeks; thought you'd be dead by now!"
-
"Vel, where we going?" Scorch asked over the comms, going down the ramp and looking around. Serendipity, Ghost, Lillith, and Maya were following with Kasumi Lia, and anyone else with them
-
"We're going to that." Vel replied, pointing to a tower perched up ahead, the massive Alliance symbol stapled upon the tower. "Yeah; military center's there, just in case Earth was no longer available." Merrick had replied. "We'd need to take a Mako to reach the small city near the tower...I think it was Axiom City, they called it." Kasumi, Lia, Kaidan and Vel soon joined Merrick, along with the Invictus crew, a Mako being prepared for them by Alliance troops. Little children watched from afar, some with their parents.
-
"Wait, so this is our beachhead into the assault?' Maya's voice suddenly piped up from the back
-
"I'd guess. Anderson never gave us the details. Though I know that everyone should be here...minus the Krogan baby, of course." Merrick responded, as everyone would be entering the Mako to make the trip to the tower.
-
"Why do we not search for Anderson now? Would it not be more pivotal to gain his assistance?" Prophet's Geth voice chipped up besides Maya
-
"He's leading the fleets. He's just waiting for a few straggled fleets in the Attican Traverse to make their way here, and then we could start this damn plan." Merrick had said, the pilot of the Mako asking if everyone was good to go.
-
"So he's alive? At least there's some good news amongst this shit storm." Ghost said
-
"Yeah...Cryark, Silsia, Val...they all tell me that the Alliance is on their own on this one. No one's heard from Rannoch command since they rescued you, Lia. Turian's and salarians are fighting on the Citadel. Krogan are too busy wondering where Cerberus is there. I'd say we're properly f****d. Dojo and you guys...maybe the mercs...probably are our only chance at saving the Alliance." He responds, the Mako making its way through the mines surrounding the city. "Yeah...Ashley scared for her family on Eden Prime...Miranda's worried about her sister on Illium...I'm personally worried about the Dojo, Val and her family on Benning...even Cryark, with his family near all the damn fire on Palaven, or Silsia and her mother near the Ismae Frontier..." Merrick said out loud, most likely saying this from his heart...
-
"So what're you're saying is. We're all -blam!-ed, say goodbye to your loved ones. Great" Scorch said, rather morbidly
-
"These are dark times..." Merrick mumbled to himself, the Mako ride being mostly silent. "Hey; you guys, this is your stop!" The driver replied from his seat.
-
"Everyone geared up?" Ghost asked, looking around as there was a mumbling of agreement
-
"Good." Merrick replied, opening it. Hundreds of Makos were there, some treating their wounded; others were making a run for the tower; others sat back and talked, mostly about their own worlds and such. It seemed to be some sort of massive building of sort they were in. Lia and Kasumi gazed toward the window, the view of Axiom City showing itself. "For a city on the moon, this seems more or less...beautiful." Kasumi whispered.
-
"Seems like the slums." Maya said solemnly as she continued onwards, Ghost shaking his head in disapproval
-
Edited by A Stormy Dio: 5/22/2017 10:15:42 PM"Better than Tuchanka before the genophage was cured." A salarian civilian said from behind them. "Don't mind 'em; some salarians are still pissed after the krogans got to have their babies" Merrick replied. "I'm gonna meet with my crew in the tower. Anderson will give you guys until the remaining fleets get here. Should take around a day, he said." Merrick replied, saluting before entering n Alliance gunship with a few other Alliance Admirals and Kaidan, who silently saluted as well. "So...what's the plan?" Kasumi asked, Lia sighing. Objective: Explore Axiom City or Head for the Tower.
-
"It's pivotal we comprehend the plan. Me must move toward the tower." Prophet said "Yeah, that's true." Ghost, Serendipity and Maya were quick to agree "But we should also get a better understanding of this place." Chimed Scorch, with Lillith and Noble agreeing with him instead.
-
"I'd agree with Ghost; maybe we'd need to hurry; you know, not lose any more bodies?" Kasumi responded, Lia joining Scorch'e side. "For once, this bosh'tet over here's right. We might wanted a clearer view of the land before we charge in there."
-
"But maybe this isn't something we should delay?" Noble looked towards the city than around the group "Listen, We need to understand what we're going into. Not just attack and die." Ghost said confidently, stepping forward and taking charge "So we're going to go up that tower, figure out the world and kick some ass once we do." Scorch suddenly jumped into the conversation, cutting off Ghost's potential speech "Sounds great." Maya laughed slightly as the group made way for the tower
