"I don't believe you....Why do you fear her death?"
A perfect image of a sleeping Traci lays in front of the being suddenly. She looks peaceful, cute, and innocent compared to the figure.
"You've already lost her."

-
"Answer the question." Traci fades and the figure towers over Cannon with the sword raised to strike. "Why fear your death and hers?"
-
"Because I don't want to lose her. I love her. If I died it would hurt her, and if she died..." His voice failed. Them sword had drained his stoicness, and now the thought of losing his daughter was too hard to bear.
-
"What about her?" The memory of Pan and Cannon under her tree plays through Cannon's head.
-
Despite the sword, that memory was still able to bring a small smile to his face. "I love her." The smile then flickered out, the joy from it emboldening him. "Why are you asking me this? Why are you in my head?"
-
"I seek answers. I wish to understand these feelings you people have." Iso forms in front of Cannon and places a hand on his cheek, smiling. "What is love?"
-
"Love is..." He thought for a moment, trying to put the sensation to words, all the while subconsciously leaning his cheek against the hand. "It's a powerful feeling. Like an urge to do anything for someone to make them happy, because that makes you happy. It's enjoying something... Buy so much more than just that. I'm not the one you should ask for these things, I'm still learning them myself."
-
"What about the loss of it?" The fake Iso gasps as the sword stabs through her chest and pulls out, the limp body slumps to the ground.
-
Cannon took a very, very shaky breath, averting his eyes from the scene while convincing himself this was not real. "The loss of love is the most painful feeling in the world."
-
"That's why you protect them...." Random moments of Iso and Traci run through Cannon's head, most being happy memories. The memories stop at the one of Iso breaking up with Cannon at the party. "She's torn..."
-
His breath caught, his mind reeled and froze. "What?"
-
"Going through these memories...." The figure's sword vanishes and fear leaves the air. "....Does she love you?"
-
Edited by Cannon011: 5/23/2017 11:47:34 PMCannon didn't even hesitate with his response. "Yes. I've felt it in both her mind and my own. She loves me."
-
"Her kind....Emotions can be decieving. One of her kind, a man, came in here. He exchanged vast knowledge in exchange for seeing an item in one of these structures. They don't come off as trustworthy."
-
"No. She loves me. I know that." He summoned memories of the countless times she'd said so, or shown it with her actions.
-
"Worms they are...squirming in flith...." The figure's voice gets angry for a second. "Nothing is a guarantee."
-
"You're lying. I know my wife. I know she loves me as much as I love her... If not more." Cannon too sounded angry. He knew Iso, she wouldn't lie to him... Would she?
-
"I wish I were....Memories....I'm remembering...." The figure sounds excited now. "I have memories!"
-
"Who are you to make me doubt her?" The Mando demanded. "What gives you the right to judge?"
-
"I'm sorry, but I must have time to think. Begone, human. Your wife may not be what she seems." Cannon suddenly wakes.
-
He sat up with a gasp, his eyes darting around to confirm his surroundings.
