Cylus had his helmet on, so he was ready to go. "All right" he said with a breath
As the lights were turned out, the bright glow of the small cube filled the room. The low hum became audible once more, and Cylus rubbed his hands together in approval.
"This is the experimental Arc Reactor my partner Rachel and I were working on. She had figured out how to use some technology she "found" to create this white barrier that you see before you. This is simply a vessel for what is to come." he says. With a flick of a switch, the light briefly becomes brighter with a tint of blue. Small sparks of blue electricity began to sputter within the box, before taking shape of a small orb. It was extremely unstable, as it kept shooting stray bolts at the barrier's walls.
"This is the Arc Energy we've managed to trap within the barrier, but so far we haven't been able to put it to use. It is too dangerous to use for anything." Cylus says. Moments later, the orb begins to hum louder, and vibrations rattle the podium and everything on it. Cylus quickly flips the switch and it begins to die out.
"As you can see, if I were to leave it on any longer, we'd all be dead. That's where you come in" he says looking to Vaughn. "I was thinking some sort of electromagnetic field or high kinetic frequency could help stabilize it so we can utilize it. What do you think?"
English
-
"Kinetic Frequency... Aye. The Frequency could stabilize da Inner cells of da device.... Do Ye hav any propositions for blassing it safely?" Vaughn sounded almost amazed at the tech, but not as a greatly as one might expect

Edited by BondyMilk: 5/25/2017 2:30:05 AM"Hrm" Cylus thinks for a moment, and then his face lights up. "Maybe some sort of resonance chamber could be slightly altered to fit the type of frequency that we need, and we could go from there!"
-
"Ay! A resonance Chamba!" The lights throughout the room came back on and Vaughn took off his goggles, his Cybernetic arm closing as he started walking "Grab the Arc. We're about to fix it the hell up." Carly said joyfully, looking at the other stuff "You can leave the rest. Probably won't be robbed.
-
"Probably?" Cylus asks, as he puts the reactor in the case. "Well, I do pity the fool who comes in here and tries to steal my stuff." He hurries and follows behind Vaughn and Carly, excited for what is to come.
-
Vaughn had only gone to the other end of the room, where a large chamber sat. Vaughn opened a small hatch on the chamber and motioned for Cylus to put his head in the chamber "Take a look aht Wat we got 'ere"
-
Cylus dropped the case and stuck his head in. "Roomy." Cylus said, his voice echoing in the chamber
-
Speakers lined the entire inner chamber with a glass look-in across from where Cylus' head was "You think it'll work?" Carly asked, looking at Chamber. "Should." Vaughn pulled Cylus out, looking at Cylus for reassurance
-
"Yeah, let's keep our fingers crossed though." Cylus says. He once again sets up the Reactor, this time putting it inside the chamber. He closes the hatch and looks back to Vaughn and Carly. "Q will activate it remotely once the chamber is activated. That way, nobody has to reach their hand in there and get it torn off by the pulse."
-
"Good thinking. And we can watch it!!" Carly went around the side of the chamber to a small doorway. She went inside, Cylus and Vaughn following. The room they entered had a glass that looked in on the chamber and a large console, clearly for the speakers "Oh what should we play? I'm thinking Beethoven."
-
"You're joking right? If we heard the frequencies necessary, our ears would implode in milliseconds. So..." Cylus says, looking at Carly. He walks up to the panel and stands beside Vaughn. "Whenever you're ready"
-
"Not really. This room is completely soundproof to that chamber in there." Carly said, rather matter-of-factly. She looked into the chamber and sighed "But oh well. Hit it." Vaughn did just that, tapping a command into the console, sound waves erupted from the speakers, showering the arc "Activate da ARK!"
-
"Q!" Cylus yells
*Already on it*
In response, the sphere opens, revealing the glowing box. Going through the same process as before, the box is revealed and the arc energy begins to flow. This time with the help of the chamber's frequency, it is able to maintain its shape. "Amazing." Cylus says. The bright light reflected off of his visor, the blue glow filling the room. He let out a breath of relief. "Carly, I think we've just made history"
-
"Now the problem becomes, how do we harvest it? Is there even a way to harvest it?" She stared in awe at the Blue energy
-
"Well, we created that white box as a vessel for it, so if we can install that into any core type thing, we could utilize it as a power source. It is easily manipulated." he said
-
"But can we replicate the tech than? Or can we use just the one?" Carly asked
-
"Of course, once we can get it fully developed, feel free to use it" Cylus says, still not taking his eyes from the reactor
-
"Alright..." "Now then. We'll spen' da nex while on dis. So, feel free to find yaself a place to sleep."
-
"Got it, if you need anything, you'll know where to find me." Cylus says, looking to Carly? He removes his helmet and shakes Vaughn's hand once again, "It was a pleasure," he says with a smile.
-
"Indeed." Vaughn said, shaking Cylus hand firmly once more. Carly escorted him out, leaving the arc and the other items that Cylus had dropped off. Carly led him out of the experimental Bay and took him to the crew quarters, showing him to his room
-
Standing in front of the door, Cylus turns to Carly. "Thanks for this." he says. Looking around, he asks "What time is it anyways up here? I seem to have lost track."
-
"Uh..." She stopped, checking a data pad that was on her forearm "It's currently 11:49 PM."
-
"Ah, well off to bed for me then. Big things are coming Carly." Cylus says, reaching for a handshake. "I'll see ya tomorrow then"
-
"Yeah, see you." Carly shook his hand, quickly turning and walking off
-
Cylus turns and enters the quarters, closing the door behind him. He took a breath and sat at a chair, relaxing for the day to come. Before he knew it, he had nodded off.
