Ever since the 1st day of Destiny to age of triumph, we've always encountered the infamous psion and psion flayers. Their grimore states that they have no relation with the cabal and hyper-intelligent, and have powerful psionic powers.
The question that came to me is how powerful are they truly and if so, will we be expecting to see them again in D2 or the expansions, even powerful than ever?
Here's a statement from the Psion Flayers grimore that I think best suports my question: "The Warlock orders believe that the flayers pulled Phobos from it's natural orbit, waiting for orders to use it as a weapon".
So if the grimore says that the flayers were able to pull Phobos, the moon of mars, from it's natural orbit then the flayers might powerful enough to move an entire landmass if they had to.
And if it is possible enough for them to do with the Rasputin expansion coming out, we could see them back again tangling with our Rasputin.
possible chance for return of pocket infinity and Sleeper simulant anyone? :)
We don't know among Lore-wise. It is difficult in our own experience of the Flayers because most people only compare them in-game.... (I know, it is very annoying. ( -_-) ) Perhaps in D2 we will encounter some side stories more about the Psions & the P-Flayers, and perhaps another Flayer boss?~ (Only this time, more of a bullet-sponge, faster and twice as big as any Psion. Like the Fallen SABER but only smaller still. (XD) )

I think bullets will still work. Glad I'm here? - Cayde-6

I'm curious. It doesn't specify that the 3 we see on Mars are the only ones with that amount of power. I suspect that there just a -blam!-ton of them
-
For the last time. IT'S SIMULANT, NOT STIMULANT
-
All they did was screw up my three of coins runs
-
Well absolutely see them in D2. The whole thing about Phobos was that they pulled it into a low orbit so that if needed, they could actually drop it on mars to kill like everything. I think we'll be seeing more of em especially with all that speculation about the 2 suns.
-
I immidiately disagree with anyone that calls sleeper simulant "sleeper stimulant".
-
post twist: gaul is a fat psion flayer.
-
Only Playstation will see them come back.

THE DUST PALACE IS LOST TO US AGAIN, BACK IN CABAL HANDS, WORD IS THEY'VE LET PSION FLAYERS OUT OF THEIR CAGES TO DIG AROUND IN THE CENTRAL AI'S CORTEX WHICH MEANS... THEY REALLY WANT WHATS BURRIED IN THERE, IF RASPUTIN WAS PROTECTING IT, IS VALUABLE. WE'VE GOT TO FLUSH THOSE FLAYERS OUT.
-
Put me on with Arc burn with StormCaller and we'll see how powerful they are...
-
With the goal of stealing the Traveler, it would make sense for the Cabal to utilize the Flayers again. The only issue would be that Psion Flayers are apparently very rare, and usually operate outside the normal chain of command; all Flayers encountered so far have been from the Ice Reapers legion, which apparently consists solely of Psions, likely meaning they have more autonomy than their brethren in other legions. With a Cabal raid due for D2, we could be facing Flayers in said raid. If we do, though, hopefully it isn't as annoying as Val Aru'un in Challenge of the Elders.

Pocket infinity was super buggy so unfortunly low for its return, we may see vex or fallen during the Rasputin dlc, i already have a speculation post on it
-
3 were kinda able to get into Rasputins systems would basing it of that would take hundreds if not thousands to be able to move a moon and the cabal are really hesitant to deploy them as they don't really have much control over them
-
"The giant meteorite" !?!!? Last I saw, Phobos was a moon of Mars.
-
Considering 3 can be downed in The Dust Palace strike in about 5 seconds, I'd say not very.
-
Jokes on all of you...
Gaul is a psion
-
Well we shit on them so not very apparently

Edited by Foremost: 5/28/2017 7:27:42 AMpsychotic powers Aren't all Psion's non-Cabal? I thought they were some type of indentured servant of another race. Very powerful beings that the Cabal "harnessed."
-
please learn how to spell grimoire if you are going to attempt to explain it. :D
-
They can destroy entire galaxies
-
Psionic powers* Psychotic means they're insane.
-
We know they are highly intelligent as the cabal use them to try and access the war mind. And they have a great strength since they are able to pull a moon from orbit.
-
I did see a Psion is the game play reveal.

The scary thing is that D1 cabal are scouts. The RL could have even stronger Flayers.
