I've heard one side that says talking about racism and races is the problem and that it only perpetuates it. I've heard others say by not talking about it we are pretending that the injustices that are done and the feelings that lie beneath don't exist and therefore make racism worse.

One part of it is acknowledging that all lives do indeed matter, and that "reverse racism" is still racism. However, equally important is recognizing when one demographic is disproportionately discriminated against. Most people often overlook at least one of these.
