[PSA] Gamestop "Pre-Order" for Digital Destiny 2 is Money Code

To the people out there (who probably won't actually read this, but meh, I'm trying): Gamestop's pre-order purchase, both on the website and in-store for the digital version of Destiny 2 seems to be a money code that grants you PS/MS points to put towards purchasing it in the PS/MS online or on-console store. (Edit to add:) The money code -DOES NOT INCLUDE TAX- that may be charged by the PS/MS store because you have a local sales tax of some sort. If a purchase on such a store for 9.99 usually charges you more than 9.99, you will also want to purchase an extra money card (probably the $10 one) so you have enough to cover the taxes after entering the main code. (Edit to add:) Based on a reply below, it appears that in some places, you may get a code for the actual game instead of a code for the money to purchase the game. Either way, it's best to go ahead and enter the code as soon as you get it instead of waiting so you can make sure which one you have. Do not get all confused, upset, and irritated if you wait until the day of D2's release and any pre-order bonuses you feel you should be getting aren't gotten (you can't pre-order AFTER release using store credit). Don't be all irritated if your 'pre-order beta access' is only valid if you actually purchase it before the beta (which is a possibility; Bungie may decide that only people who pre-order before the beta will actually have beta access), so don't wait until the day of beta and then decide to enter your money code. Enter your code -now- and purchase it in your respective online or on-console store. A lot of people were highly upset when they "pre-ordered" Rise of Iron, then waited until the day of or after its release only to realize it just put money on their account for them to purchase it in the store, a purchase of which was no longer a pre-order since it wasn't made before it was released. Don't be that person. Extra notes (both of the following count for preordering the digital and physical copies): If you purchase DS2 online at Gamestop's website, Gamestop states plainly that you'll receive your beta access code within 2 -business days- of your -successful- purchase, so your purchase must process fully, completely, and not be rescinded for any reason prior to you receiving your code. It will go to the email you have registered with Gamestop. Bungie has nothing to do with this so changing your email or complaining here won't help you any. Talk to Gamestop if you change your email between purchasing and receiving your code. If you don't receive a code, talk to Gamestop, because, again, Bungie can't help you. If you purchase D2 in-store, your beta code will be on your receipt if you pay the full purchase price for the D2 bundle you're preordering. You -may- get a beta code on your receipt if you put down the minimum for preorder, but don't count on it. Don't throw away your receipt or claim you misplaced it and expect Bungie to give you a beta code; it won't happen. If you misplace it, talk to Gamestop.
