The Highway to Hell
Underworld, Unknown Time/Date
The place was a literal hell.
No, really, it was. Along it's burning shores, stained with blood, are countless demons, imps, and other unknown specimens combing the shore for something good to eat. They occasionally look up to the windows of a tower in the middle of the sulfuric lake, thinking they sense movement. Though, nothing seems to be inside, so they keep scanning the beach as a child would with a metal detector.
However, there was something in that tower. Or more specifically, someone.
The person in question is rather gaunt, and peaks at around 5'10". He is stained with ash and blood,
covered in scratch marks from previous encounters. His face is covered with a coarse dark hair, however the beard looks slightly nicer than one who would neglect it. But the one thing that really makes him look abnormal is the pair of blazing crimson eyes, red as ever. He sits at his desk, finishing writing something on a pieces a paper, possibly a letter or a journal. When he finishes, he stands up, and looks behind him. To keep him from becoming insane he constantly formed shadow figures to keep him company. One of them is right behind the man as he turns, and nods when they look each other in the eye.
"I'm ready to go," The man said with a hollow voice.
"Will do, Sir Mortar," the Shadow said, nodding again as he opened the door to a rather thin bridge. Both of the figures left the building, standing at the foot of the bridge. The demons, noticing them, snarl and whine at them as they cross.
The Final Mausoleum, Later, Still an Unknown Time
Mortar and the Shadow walk up to the massive doors of the Final Mausoleum, Mortar somewhat horrified at the memories here. Sighing, he pushed open the doors, revealing a massive room, made of multiple floors, each filled with seemingly millions of figures, not quite transparent, and look rather normal, except for a white steam lightly piling off of them. He looks around for any familiar faces, one in particular as he pulls something out of his bag.
Open, but only if you have a dead character.
A familiar face is indeed seen as long with several that looked like kin to the person as it sat among them. The man was big stand at six ft muscular to a extent but he was cover in bluish grey scales. The man had blue grey eyes and slightly greying black hair. The others around him looked more familiar as one looked like a twin, a younger sister, a much older man standing by what looked like none other than his mother then the last one was clearly his departed wife that stood next to him. They seemed to listless and a drift amongst the many that were here now.
hope that works
*Mortar looks at the group, then turns away, Hovark's face not as noticeable with all the steam. But he does a quick double take, and walks over, his face warming up slightly as the Shadow follows, keeping away any unwanted spirits* Hovark, that you?
-
"Huh yes it is"he says Hovark looks at him the other spirits next to him do the same unsure who he is...
-
Oh, god, it's been a while since I've seen you. Great to see you again! *He walks up to him until he is about arm's length away* It's me, Mortar.
-
"Its been too long tell me how are my daughters are they okay...:"he says
-
They're just fine, sir. It's been much too long since I've seen you. And who are all of these people here. I kow your brother... *He quickly nods to Kiev* And your Mother... *He nods to Willow and turns back to Hovark* But... Who is everyone else here?
-
"My father hogarth and sister serene"says Hovark "Who he big brother?"asks the spirit of the little girl
-
Your father? And your sister? *He faces his father and sister and bows a little* Pleased to meet you both. I am Mortar, Ex God, Ex War Beast. I am currently engaged with Hovark's daughter, Serenity.

-
"Oh how nice to meet you."says hogarth "Yeah it is even if we a live no more"says serene "So what do you what with my boy"says willow
-
Well, to be honest, I didn't just come down to chat and to see how he is doing down here... I came here to try and bring him back to the Dojo with his kids and grandkids
-
"Hmm i see... well my boy it look like aint your time just yet then is it." says hogarth "I guess your right but is this really what they wanted?"says hovark
-
Look, you should have seen them when you died. Lola was a mess, and Serenity was feeling just as bad. They wanted to apologize for what they said but they couldn't for what Irina did.
-
"Sounds like they still want yyou there boy"says hogarth "I guess should go back"says hovark
-
*Mortar nods* Look, I would like nothing more to bring them back to her. But, since I don't want to split you guys up, despite Willow's and Kiev's... past, I will find a way to help you guys still be able to talk with each other... *He stops a moment, thinking of a way to keep everyone together* Oh! I got it!
-
"What is your plan?"asks hogarth the other spirits just look at him unsure of what he idea is.
-
Well... You know what a smartphone is?
-
"No not really"says hogarth "What on in the world is it"says willow
-
Well, it's a small device used to communicate between people. There is a certain type of machine similar to them in the Underworld, able to talk with anyone in the universe. I could steal them, sync them to my phone, then give one to you guys and one to Hovark, then you can still talk and video call each other.
-
"What if they find out that we have them though"says serene "I agree but it definitely sounds cool"says willow "Wont the girls cry though if they hear their mother though i mean after all she did die giving birth to lola and leyla. The only one that actually know their mother is serenity"says hogarth "Who knows"says Hovark
-
*Mortar sighs a little* For the first question, they are kind of small, so they are easy to hide. And if the second half of my plan down here works out you needn't worry of that. As for what you said, Hogarth, I believe that they will cry tears of joy, since this would be the first time the two get to see their mother, even if it is digitally.
-
"Yes it will be interesting to see as well"says Hogarth "Indeed it will"says serene
-
Right. Well, I'll leave Hovark here until I get what I need; if I take his soul now and I fail no one can see him any more. So, it's probably good to say your goodbyes to your family here. *He turns to Hovark's father, sister, and wife and bows slightly again, then looks over to Kiev and Willow and nods*
-
"Alright then sounds like a plan"says hogarth "Thanks again for helping to take of my daughters and my grandchildren"says hovark's wife "Yes indeed "says serene hovark just nods in response with an arm around his wife. Its uncanny though how much she looks like her three daughters. She had looked a lot more like serenity though.

*Mortar smiled at the thanks* It's a real pleasure. You'd be proud of them if you saw them today. *He walks over to Hovark's wife, lifts up her hand, and giver her a light kiss on the wrist, like you would typically see gentlemen from 1800-1900s do* I must be off now
