There she stood, or rather they stood. Standing In front of a small group of Knights, Musketeers and even a tiger was Nora, Pyromaniac of the Blue Flames.
"Guess my time finally came..." He voice, her face, it was all so young. The way she was when Mortar had first resurrected her. Of course, If Mortar had kept track of her he would know that she had died of old age. The young looks were nothing more then looks...

*Mortar briefly glances over, as it is kind of hard to see, but he does a double take, and approaches. Last he saw her she was older, less... like she is now* Nora, after all this time.
-
"Yeah... All clocks run out at some point I guess. I cheated death once. Can't do it again." She smiled, that damn smile that she always had plastered on her face. After all this time, it was still her signature
-
Eh, why not? I've cheated it so many times I've stopped keeping track. *Beneath his grizzled face lay a genuine smile, happy to see a good friend again*
-
"Why not? I've already passed on. Last thing I need now is to outlive my kids..." Nora said with a light chuckle though her voice feel flat
-
Yeah... I guess that makes sense... *He pauses a moment, noticing her changed tone* You okay Nora? Wanna talk? I still have a little time, the guards never really check in here.
-
"Nothing To talk about, Mortar. I'm dead. Don't really have much going on in my life, well life being used loosely." Nora said, looking down at the ground
-
*He sighs, putting a hand on her shoulder* Well, that man, Mr. Franklin, from the Eighteenth Century was right in that the only two certain things are Death and Taxes. But, you know, it's not all that bad. You can spend eternity with the Musketeers and the Knights, and some of the old deceased Dight Members. Not many can do that. Or, if you seem worthy, my father could put you in a new body and have you fight for him. *He stops talking a minute, remembering what his father had done in the past* Forget that last part
-
"Forgotten..." Nora chuckled a little bit, looking up at Mortar and smiling
-
*Mortar smiles too, trying to cheer her up* Yeah, I'm not the best at motivational speaking, left that to Cyan.
-
"So. Are you going to tell me what I'm here for?? Got to get back go my Dead husband at some point, don't you think?" Nora said, referencing Ornstein
-
Oh, yeah, I forgot about that... *Mortar takes a moment, then speaks again* Well, this is primarily a holding cell. The steam that is coming off of the spirits is actually some weird type of "Ether" and it's what powers this place. So, you're a walking talking power generator... *He doesn't want to mention the last part, because that is when, when the spirit weakens it's ether flow with age, they get put in a massive chamber, having every little droplet of it removed, and their soul being reborn as one of the imps or bottom level demons*
-
"But why I am I here. Isn't there, you know... Heaven?" She asked, looking at Mortar with a hint of sadness in her eyes
-
Honestly... *mortar runs through his brain, trying to think of whether there is or not* ... To be honest, I don't know. I've been bred down here for so long, and, I don't know if there is a heaven or not. All I know is what a friend of mine, Amanda, told me, and it was that there is a type of heaven that only the gods and their Celestials live, and that is where they watch over. The God of the Underworld was not worthy however, and him and his spawn were cast away here. I am very sorry, Nora. I really am.
-
"Meh not your fault. Guess we should have been more religious. Not my fault for being an atheist. Raised from the dead and all." She laughed a little bit, obviously trying to lighten the mood
-
*Mortar chuckles too* I'm an Ex God. I can't get more religious. But in all seriousness, if I can kill my father in the next couple months, I will get you out of here and try my hardest to get you to become a celestial. Or at least treat you better.
-
"You need any help taking the bastards down, feel free to give me a call. Alright?"
-
*He beams under his scratchy beard* Of course. Likewise. Oh, and if anyone but me tells you to come with them, don't. Okay?
-
"Already broke that promise. Had to find these guys." Nora said, gesturing to the Dight behind her
-
You know who I mean. People that you've never met. Tenders of the Spirit. And not Chicken Tenders, these guys will suck the ether right from you if you try to eat them
-
"Sounds like a load of fun." Nora said with a flat chuckle
-
Just peachy. *He sighs a little, looking about the room* Oh, one more thing. Before you... died... did you see Smough? How was he?
-
"No, I'm sorry to say that I did not see him. I haven't seen him in quite some time actually." Nora said, obviously somewhat sadly
-
Oh, okay. Well, sorry then. *He gives Nora a quick hug again, trying to make her feel better again. It is hard, since she is dead, but, knowing Nora, he knows she can cheer up a little quicker than others
-
"Anyway! I should probably start heading out soon..." A few moments into the hug she pulled away, looking back at the Dight
-
Yeah, probably...
