...Well, this is the Waking World, more specifically a place called Tatakai. Up there-" Irina pointed, to the ancient Dojo. "-is the Dojo, a place for warriors and mages to train and fight. It's...interesting.
Still, I...can't believe that you're alive."

"I am. I have been." He said, shaking his head. Then, he gave a sad sigh. "Another hunt started after you left, and the good Hunter who participated....refused my offer. I tried to stop them, keep them from my fate. Well....." He looked sorrowful, and before he continued took a moment to compose himself. "I failed. You can only leave the dream through death. The hunter freed me. Whether it was through their own sense of mercy, or the bloodlust....it doesn't matter though now, does it?" He shook his head like a dog would to rid itself of fleas. "But.....let us put that aside for the moment. You say we are here....on this...'Takatai'....how did you get here?"
-
"...After waking up, I.. ...I shouldn't go over how I got here. It brings up bad memories, and I did horrible things-" Irina shook her head solemnly, closing her eyes while still speaking. "...I betrayed the Church. I'm a Vileblood - I was one before even meeting the Queen. ...I ended up here. I don't know how, or why: I was on the run from an Executioner of the Church.."
-
He sighed "Irina........why?" Then he shook his head "Nevermind. It no longer matters, Yharnam, Cainhurst......I doubt they exist anymore. Nobody could control the scourge, even with the dream."
-
"...Why? Why?!" ...One could say that Irina sounded furious. "Because the fuсking Church let a madman get away with the murder of my family and Samuel, under the accusation that they were beasts! Because the Queen decided to come at last, and offer her "guidance"?! And where were you? Stuck in some goddamn dream, chopping off Hunter heads instead of letting them end your misery!" Irina went silent, before promptly slamming her fist into the railing, bending the metal with a single punch. How odd...Irina never possessed such strength. She was built and trained for dexterity.

Gehrman paid little attention to the pounding on the rail, even though her attack struck him like an actual blow. "I....I didn't know. Irina...you know I couldn't allow them to suffer through what I did. You know I cared for each and every one of you. I wish I was there. I'm sorry..." He said, quietly leaning on the railing, his breathing a little ragged now
-
"...I'm sorry. For everything." Irina broke the silence, looking back at Gerhman with a saddened smile. She sighed, shaking her hand - her metallic hand - as she spoke up. "So much has changed and gone by, since you've been gone. You probably met my, erm...child, Arianna. It's hard to explain, but she was a huntress, so I figured.."
