Worse?

Slavery benefits someone. Holocaust benefits nobody.

Socialism.

I dunno... I can't choose which one is more funny... Is there a third option?

You can't exactly compare two different human tragedies.

Edited by Tissic: 6/9/2017 1:08:23 AMSlavery lasted much longer and impacted far more people.

Systematic extermination is pretty hard to beat. I'd rather wake up wondering how bad I'm going to get beat everyday of my existence versus whether I'm going to be murdered. Either way, both are absolutely terrible.

Slaves suffer more, I would say.

I actully had this argument awhile ago with an ignorant blm supporting co worker. What was odd is that we were talking about public school when shes just like "slavery was so much worse than the holocost, they jus wanna downplay our struggles and make it seem like some white people had it bad, sitting in a gas chamber aint that bad its over in a minute but slavery lasted up untill 60years ago", when i mentioned sone statistics she shrugged and doubted if the holocaust even occured and said she didnt trust stats on slavery cus they were written by white guys and therefor probally downplayed numbers.. I personally wouldnt want to compare struggles, i think its inhumane, disgustingly selfish and just unproductive as its basically a contest to see whos the biggest victim.. Having said all that i would say the holocaust was "worse". Everyone under the sun has been a slave and it goes back waay more than 400 years of chattel slavery in the us while the holocaust stands out for its brutality, the world had seen massive losses of life before but nothing on this scale. Chattel Slavery was dehumanizing a whole group of people for a workforce over generations. The Holocaust was exterminating whole generations of a whole group of people in a matter of months. Both were horribly evil but differet in there aims its again for this reason I wouldnt even really compare them but again if we are going by numbers its still the holocaust. The most "generous" estimates for the death toll are as high as 5 and 6 million meanwhile holocaust estimates start at 13 million and stop around 20 million.. Whew for breaking down and cimparing human suffering (there is no way to answer this without sounding like a asshole..)
