Traitor?
*He stands up to his full height of 6'9"*
The Hell did I do to you? And that "Orb?" Yeah, it hasn't seen my face in years
English
-
"The Traveler betrayed me. Made my fireteam leave me for dead on Venus...the things you call 'Fallen' brought me in raised me..." she had explained, twirling around her Dreg's Promise. "But how do I know you aren't lying to me?" She asks, suspicion crossing her face.
-
*He seems to smile, walking up to her* Because I had something similar in Mars. Barely got out alive but they stole my ghost
-
She started smiling. "Well...then it seems I wasn't the only one the Vanguard decided to betray. The Eliksni was able to retain my Voidwalker powers, and imbued a little bit of something they call 'the Stormcaller'. Strange how they were able to do that. Leyia, by the way." She replied, hand out to shake.
-
*He shakes it with a tight grip* Styx-12. And they didn't betray me. I'm just a proud man, and coming back without the Light would shatter that. Those Cabal Bastards are sure gonna pay for that
-
"Cabal? I was captured by a bunch of rogue Wolves during the whole Skolas incident. They recovered something on Earth; said it'll retain my powers as an ex-Warlock." She says. "You know some place where I could live for the time being?" She asked.
-
Well these guys are rather hospitable, so I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you stayed here a little while
-
"Perhaps I can make do buying an apartment." Leyia says. "Look...if there any Guardians or anything to do with the Traveler...tell me."
-
*Styx smiles under his helmet* I mean, they pop in and out, I've seen a few with their ghosts conversing amongst themselves. *He leans in closer to her a moment* And, if it's not too much, can you teach me how to get back my Defender abilities?
-
"I still have some of it. Maybe I can..." she responds, taking off the right sleeve to her outfit. It revealed red nanomachines on her body, swirling around the arm as Fallen parts were recognized. "They recovered it from Earth. Gave me a spare part in case things get crazy. Gave me a jar of it as well. Corrupted my light." She responds, activating a red Void Grenade in her hand.
-
Hmm... Odd to combine the words "Corrupt" and "Defend" but if it means I stand a fighting chance against the Cabal I'm in.
-
She nods. "I'll get to my pod and get the stuff needed. You just stay put." She runs off to get to the necessary things, leaving behind a dead Ghost.
-
Hmm... *He holds up the ghost, turning it over in his hand*
-
It was obviously dead, the remains of a bullet, most likely a sidearm, blasted through what used to be the Ghost's optic. A green and purple camp laid on the shell of the Ghost, rusted and tainted from the years of inactivity. Hints of Light could be felt, but barely enough of much of anything.
-
*He sighs as he puts it down* If you can hear me Demosthenes, I will find you, and we will become strong again together. *He seems to get a faint signal from somewhere beyond the system, but it fizzles out* It's happened again...
-
The sound of footsteps were heard, as Leyia came running back, parts and jar in hand. "Got everything! I might not know how to put it on your body unless we chop your hand off. Maybe I could...use whatever light you might still have and focus it on the arm?" She thinks, before pulling something out of her pocket. "Also recovered this from the pod. Secoris, my guard, gave it to me before the attack that brought me here. Says it was from the Prison of Elders when they broke Skolas out of there. Was almost killed by Petra Venj to get it." She says, throwing an exotic engram to him. "Not exactly a blue gremlin known as Rahool, but maybe it could be useful for you." She responds, thinking of how to add the jar of SIVA to the Exo.
-
Hmm, thanks. I could work something out, I was modified to alter any important functions at "The flip of a switch" as they said after the collapse. My torso region can be dissected to alter important pieces. Maybe if I insert the Siva that way but I don't think that the Siva will work on me since it ultimately destroys and warps machines... And that engram? Feels to me like something not uncommon, like a MIDA or Suros Regime, or if an armor base possibly an Armentarium, or a pair of FROST-EE5. However it feels more like a weapon base, so, either a MIDA, Suros, maybe a Zhalo Supercell, nothing special.
-
"Maybe...wait...couldn't I replace a part, then add some SIVA into that? Or maybe I could..." she thought this out loud, as she waved around a small part used for the torso.
-
Well I'd suggest inserting the SIVA into a place where it can spread, however it is not necessary for function. Like the Appendix for Exos
-
She inserted the SIVA into the appendix of Styx. "Alright...you should feel a prickly feeling afterwards. That means it's working and not trying to corrupt your body. Do you feel it?" Leyia asks.
-
Well, my "nerves" have been odd for a while, so it's minimal but I can feel it a little
-
"Alright..." she responds. The SIVA proceeded to corrupt the light of Styx (whatever was left) as a familiar shield washed over the EXO.
-
*Styx stays completely still, simply letting the SIVA do it's job*
-
*He could feel the immense power of light, as a red shield covered him. His super seemed ready to activate.* Leyia smiled at this. "I think you're ready to try out your super." She says, walking a step back.
-
Alright. Let us see what happens. *He summons his corrupted light, what used to be drawn from the Void, and unleashes a burst of it. It knocks down a couple close trees, then condenses into a large reddish bubble, purple light rising to the surface every now and then in random parts of the bubble*
-
Leyia was somewhat amazed. "Now THAT's a super!" She yells out in glee, activating her own super, as red electricity arced from her.
