No it's a statement I'm telling you to stop doing something which is to stop assuming things
English
-
"Can you" Sir, that's a question. Nice try. A statement would be "Quit assuming things." Look like it wasn't me that missed English, big guy. lol
-
Can you stop can be a statement or a question bud... think for gods sake. :) Can you stop? Can you stop!
-
Nice try, but sir go waste your time somewhere else. And yes I understand that you are going to say, " Oh I'm not wasting my time you are because your still talking to me. Plus you started a sentence with "and" so you have bad grammar " well guess what **** off bro you've been Wait for it... MUTED
-
It's a question, big guy. You got exposed. Move on.
-
Edited by Cam: 6/9/2017 9:27:48 PMExposed by what? Now that is the real question. But I think the main question we have to ask ourselves is if you are ever going to stop replying. Everyone raise there hand if that is an outstanding question. Waiting waiting waiting... Well as shown everyone here says yes If only you knew how to say something intelligent. Sir I think you outta shut up... Or is that just my opinion. Actually everyone else in the post who has seen this hasn't replied to us so I'd say no. It is just my opinion. Cheers :) your friend (really your only friend because I see no reason anyone would want to be yours) Bobolak. Creative name huh. I didn't even make it up I just had my friend type in something random.
-
Real question? I think we've already addressed that you don't have any earthly idea what a question is. raise their* hand? Outta? I think you were going for a shortened version of "ought to" which commonly is condensed to "oughta" but oh well. I'll stop correcting your grammar. I think we've proven that you have no knowledge of it. I kept replying because your first reply is to insult my knowledge of English. I then exposed you by showing you that my knowledge of that is far superior to yours. Not really important at all, but since you tempted me, I had to oblige. That and my job affords me a good deal of down time in front of a computer so I read forum posts. I have plenty of friends, so don't you worry. I'll be just fine. Enjoy your day.
-
It's really ought to or ought a
-
My first reply was actually a polite comment to not assume things since maybe the people aren't lying. It's simply just thinking things through. Plus I have a 99 in honors English (there is no AP in ninth grade) and this is a forum for a video game... let me emphasize on VIDEO GAME. I could care less about my grammar.
-
I couldn't care less about it too until you try and act like I don't know what I'm talking about. Then you force my hand.
-
I never said you didn't know I just didn't think you realized. :) bro let's just end it. I'm sorry it's all good
-
That's why my comment said this:
Outta? I think you were going for a shortened version of "ought to"
Thanks for restating my point though. Arguments can never have enough reinforcement.
-
What I was trying to say was it is either ought a or ought to not oughta or ought to
-
I was trying to be nice. It's never "ought a" or "oughta" if you're trying to be correct. Just if you're going to shorten it...
-
Edited by Cam: 6/9/2017 9:17:46 PMI'm sorry are you still talking oh and by the way I unmuted you since you are so funny.
-
Good move. You'll also pick up English tips from me. Apparently, you need them. I urge you to take notes if possible.
-
Edited by Cam: 6/9/2017 9:32:00 PMTake notes on what how to be a worthless piece of unintelligent *** because if you want me to take notes on that I can just text back and forth with you
-
You don't need anymore notes on that subject. I'd say you mastered it.
-
Edited by Cam: 6/9/2017 9:43:46 PMWell then my teacher has taught me well, thank you for that Duke Rains.
-
It's not that I'm unable. I choose not to. I'm bored. Sue me.
-
Edited by Cam: 6/9/2017 9:46:53 PMJust one more thing the reason I say it wasn't' a question is because I wasn't using a questioning tone of voice. That is also something you learn in English class
-
It is the job of the author to convey tone and use the correct words to do so when the tone can't heard. It has nothing to do with your tone though. You either asked a question and didn't punctuate it properly or you made a statement and used the wrong words to do so. Not a big deal, but if you're going to then make fun of me for lack of knowledge on the subject, I'm gonna have to show you where you're wrong.
