It is the job of the author to convey tone and use the correct words to do so when the tone can't heard. It has nothing to do with your tone though. You either asked a question and didn't punctuate it properly or you made a statement and used the wrong words to do so. Not a big deal, but if you're going to then make fun of me for lack of knowledge on the subject, I'm gonna have to show you where you're wrong.
