"...need assaistance...Cerberus invading...colonies in danger...lots of loot..."
These four phrases were repeated by a black man in military clothing (which was a hologram), who was walking around, near a lone table, a datapad resting on a table.
Open; in other words, side quests! With a lot of rewards. :p

Are you alliance? I won't open because I'm not far enough to really work with you guys yet, but I'm curious
-
Yes. It's fine, though; everyone can join.
I'm Cylus, a new Pilot of the Militia.
Cylus was walking back towards his armory, ready to relax from his day of training when suddenly, his comms began to go off. "Q, locate the source. This is the channel Marker gave me, but it isn't linking back to him..." he says to his A.I.
*It's coming from a nearby courtyard. Sending you the location now.* Q says in response.
Now picking up his pace, Cylus hurries over to the location that Q marked for him, afraid he might miss the message. Soon enough, he arrived at a lone table with what appeared to be a holographic man pacing back and forth. At first he was reluctant to act, so he listened from a distance.
"...need assaistance...Cerberus invading...colonies in danger...lots of loot..."
When he heard the message given by the man, he immediately approached the device. He concluded that it was the same Cerberus attack that he and Marker heard earlier, in which the 5th and 6th fleets were recalled. He had dismissed it, as he was 9th fleet. But now, the threat seemed to be increasing, and Cylus was aching for some action. Plus, a lot of loot. "Uh... Sir? My name is Cylus, and I'm a pilot in the Militia... I heard about this attack earlier, and if it is still required, I may just be of assistance." he said to the hologram.
-
Well, nice. Checked you bio (looks pretty good). Excited to have you on board.
Soon enough, a holographic VI showed up, the image of a woman appearing. It slowly walked up to Cylus, before scanning him. "Identified. Cylus. Militia pilot under 9th fleet, marked; ally. Pilot Cylus, the Alliance is in danger of falling to Cerberus and currently, Admiral Steven Hackett is absent. Admiral David Anderson has taken over in his absence, and has asked for your assistance." The VI explained, two planets circling around the group. "As the situation on Eden Prime has been pacified and Dojo forces are already on Benning, you must choose one out of these two planets for you to got to." The VI explained. One planet seemed similar to that of Earth, except with a lot more green on it than blue. The other was more or less a snow planet, yet seemed to harbor almost an entire city within...
-
"Is there any briefing I can get on the situation on each planet? Unfamiliar territory, I always take my precautions." Cylus says
-
"Of course." Responds the Vi, pointing to the snow planet first. "This first one is known as Noveira, a very important trading place for the Alliance. This is also where the Alliance tests experimental weaponry that could change the battlefield in an instant. Cerberus threat is high, considering it is near their old base, known as Cronos Station. Heavy caution is advices, although civilian fighters and Alliance support on the planet is confirmed." She points to the second planet. "This other one is Terra Nova. A total of 3 years ago (another 6 months ago), the Alliance stopped a species known as Bataians from destroying the capital with a meteorite. Cerberus has tried this before and failed. It is believed that Cerberus is purposely kidnapping civilians for use in their army here. Caution is high, and Cerberus threat is medium."
-
"I see. Are there confirmed ground troops on Terra Nova at the moment?" Cylus asks
-
"Yes." The VI explained.
-
"Ah, well I assume that they could handle that. Go ahead and send my response to Noveira. I'll call in a ride now." Turning around, he calls into his comms, waiting as it rang Marker.
-
"Yeah?" Marker's voice was heard over the comms, sounding tired. As if he'd just woken up
-
"Ah, Marker. Sounds like you just woke up. That's a switch." Cylus says with a chuckle. "Well, you see, apparently some guy named Admiral David Anderson has requested my assistance on the planet Noveira... But I don't exactly have the means of getting there. You think you can arrange something?" he asks
-
"I'll get you a frigate. Dropship should drop in the next few minutes. That work?"
-
Edited by BondyMilk: 6/20/2017 6:59:53 PM"Of course, I'll send you coordinates now." Cylus says, pinging his location to Marker on his wrist pad.
-
"Got them. Ship incoming on those coordinates. If you need any back up, there's a squad waiting for you on board." Marker said, as a dropship floated over head, and made a landing in the first clear space it saw
-
"Thanks Marker, I owe you one." Cylus says. He picks up the two devices on the table and heads over to the ship, climbing up the back ramp. Nodding to his new company, he introduces himself. "For those of you who may not know me, which is probably most of you if not all, the name's Cylus." he says as he sits down. He then turns on the hologram and begins his briefing.
-
I guess this is where I'm in again?
The VI pops up once more. "Noviera has been an important site for much of the trading that has gone on within Alliance space for more than 5 years. Unfortunately, Cerberus had captured their capital, Port Hanshan, and the majority of Alliance forces have been captured within the port. Your mission is to liberate it from Cerberus control. Further details will be entailed upon arrival." The VI spoke, before abruptly ending its briefing.
-
Yep
After sharing the information with the squadron, Cylus took the time to check his weapons. After a brief ride, their ship landed on the lush planet of Noviera. Rising to his feet, Cylus nodded for the soldiers to do the same. As the ramp opened up, Cylus thanked the pilot. "Thanks for the lift. We should be back soon enough, so I'll call in for when we need evac." Cylus said. "No problem. Good luck out there Pilot Cylus." the pilot said, nodding respectively. As he and his small squadron stepped outside, Cylus pulled out the V.I device once again. "We've arrived, now awaiting further instruction."
-
"There will be a woman named Gianna Parasini who should be up ahead, near some sort of command console. She'll tell you if the current situation, Pilot Cylus." She replies, the blistering cold hitting Cylus.
-
oh I thought I was on the green planet. Oops. Just realized Terra as in earth... *Facepalm*
Cylus calls for the team to follow, his breath steaming in the cold air. He makes his way forward until he can make out the figure of a person. On closer inspection, he sees the woman, and approaches.

She wasn't aware of Cylus and the Militia coming to her, as her back was pointed to them.
-
"Mrs. Parasini? Gianna Parasini?" Cylus calls to the woman. "My name is Cylus, Pilot of the Militia. My team and I have been instructed to meet you here." he says, holding up the V.I device for her to see.
-
"Ah!" She says, turning around to see Cylus. "Good; it seems that RAI has gotten you to where you need to be. RAI, if there's any AI or VI with these guys, work with them." Parasini told the female VI (?) "Yes ma'am." The VI said, shutting itself off. "Did the Vi give you the basics on what's happening here?" Gianna asked.
-
"Eh, more or less. Basically Cerberus took Port Hanshan, and you want us to take it back." Cylus says.
-
"Good. We were just finishing the touches of our plan, if you'd want to see it." She had said, giving Cylus space to move to the console.
-
Cylus approaches the console, looking at the contents of its screen. "So what am I looking at here?"
