"You ready to start up your training as a Titan Pilot? Just got a shipment of arms and Titans, we hot one of each just for you, see which one you fit with."

"Sounds awesome. Where should we meet?"Cylus asks
-
"There's a clearing in the forest, Southwest of here. Sending you the navpoint."
-
"Recieving it now." Cylus says, pressing buttons on his arm pad. "I'll be on my way, I just have to suit up and get my stuff ready."
-
"Take your time. We're in no rush." Marker said, the comms going silent afterwards
-
With that, Cylus took the earpiece out and walked over to the far wall. He put on his suit and snapped on his helmet before looking to the rack for his gear. Since it was only training, he grabbed his usuals before exiting the room. Locking the door behind him, Cylus left the armory and made his way to the forest.

After a solid fifteen minute walk through the village and forest, Cylus entered a rather large clearing with tree stumps, rocks and a small river running through it, into the forest that was across from him Inside the clearing, towards the middle, was a dropship with supplie crates being unloaded from the ship. Several Titans were around the clearing, crouched down and there was a makeshift wooden bridge from one bank of the river to the next. Multiple other supply crates were scattered about, and one was suspiciously close to the forest. Marker was towards the middle, directing a few grunts that were doing the unloading
-
Approaching Marker, Cylus greets his friend. "Ah, Marker. What do we have here?" he asks, looking around
-
"Supply drop, courtesy of the Militia. We lost an outpost yesterday, so they want us to go out there take back what we can."
-
"I see. IMC or just some outskirt bandits?" Cylus asks
-
"It's Unknown. The operation was quick, efficient, silent. They left no survivors. We only realized because the outpost stopped transmitting."
-
"Sounds interesting. From what I've read, the IMC isn't really the covert ooperations type. But I could be wrong." Cylus comments. He looks to Marker "So where am I in all of this?" he asks
-
"Well, we're trying to move in on the outpost in two days. But we'll need pilots. So, your Titan training starts today, see how you fair."
-
"Today as in right now?" Cylus says, rubbing his hands together. Inspecting the titans around the clearing, he can only imagine which he would be using and the wonders he could do with it.
-
"If you're up for it, yeah, we'd like to start today." Marker said with a light chuckle at Cylus' excitement
-
"Oh I'm up for it alright! Where do we start?" He asks
-
"Would you like a brief overview of the Titans we have?"
-
"That would be wise, so yes. Yes I would."
-
"Alright, let's start with Ion." " Ion is a reliable and well-rounded Titan best suited for beginners. Her abilities share one energy resource, meaning that every move she makes--except for her primary fire and Core ability--drain from a single cooldown; even her alternate aim-down-sights firing mode takes up energy. Ion is all about power management, so it's essential that you understand the perks of her abilities during a given situation. You never want to be caught doing anything that'll senselessly waste your energy; be methodical. For instance, avoid firing a fully charged laser shot while retreating; instead, save energy for her Vortex Shield or Mines. And once Ion's Laser Core is available, engage it on any coverless Titans."
-
"Sounds manageable." Cylus notes as he runs his hand across the body of the Titan. "Seems agile and strong enough to take a hit, as well as deliver one."
-
"They are. Anyways, moving on." "Scorch is the Titan you want if you're looking to inflict copious amounts of area-of-effect damage. His ignitable Incendiary Traps can be used to set enemies aflame, but it's knowing when and where to ignite them that's tricky. Scorch's primary weapon has a slow rate-of-fire, so it's best to focus on using his Firewall ability to ignite his traps. It's all about timing with Scorch, as igniting his traps can be used methodically to deal with a variety of situations. If you can, do your best to save a trap when unleashing his Flame Core to inflict mass damage. And when it comes to countering a Pilot grapple towards you, Flame Shield is the perfect solution."
-
"Ah, noted." Cylus says with a nod.
-
"Next up, we got Northstar." "Northstar is the "Sniper Titan" that's equipped with a Plasma Railgun that can easily eliminate enemies from afar. Her VTOL Hover allows her to float in the air for a brief period of time, giving her the chance to fire shots from vantage points that no other Titan can. While Northstar packs an impressive degree of firepower from her primary weapon alone, she's completely lacking in defensive strength. Fortunately, she has a Tether Trap that can render enemies immobile for a few seconds, and a powerful Cluster Missile that she can deploy to aid in her retreat. Northstar is best used from a distance, but when her Flight Core is ready, everything you know about her playstyle goes out the window; Tether Trap your foe, and unleash this devastating attack from above."
-
"Sounds reasonable. Deadeyes and recons aren't usually the tanky types." Cylus comments before moving on with Marker
-
Marker motioned at the next Titan, that had a large sword sheathed upon his mechanical back "Like Northstar, Ronin has weak defense, but what he lacks in armor he makes up for in mobility and offensive power. Ronin can dash around foes, confusing them as he closes in to use his most destructive weapon: an electric-charged broadsword. For maximum damage, all you needs to do is block incoming attacks with Ronin's blade and slice up his foes. In addition to his melee capabilities, Ronin also comes equipped with a Leadwall shotgun that can shred enemy HP, as well as an Arc Wave attack that can temporarily stun foes that attempt to get too close"
-
Beneath his visor, Cylus couldn't help but grin. "I like the sound of that, light weight and deadly." he comments. "But I'll give all the options a chance before I decide on anything." he says.
