"Next up, we got Northstar." "Northstar is the "Sniper Titan" that's equipped with a Plasma Railgun that can easily eliminate enemies from afar. Her VTOL Hover allows her to float in the air for a brief period of time, giving her the chance to fire shots from vantage points that no other Titan can. While Northstar packs an impressive degree of firepower from her primary weapon alone, she's completely lacking in defensive strength. Fortunately, she has a Tether Trap that can render enemies immobile for a few seconds, and a powerful Cluster Missile that she can deploy to aid in her retreat. Northstar is best used from a distance, but when her Flight Core is ready, everything you know about her playstyle goes out the window; Tether Trap your foe, and unleash this devastating attack from above."
-
"Sounds reasonable. Deadeyes and recons aren't usually the tanky types." Cylus comments before moving on with Marker
-
Marker motioned at the next Titan, that had a large sword sheathed upon his mechanical back "Like Northstar, Ronin has weak defense, but what he lacks in armor he makes up for in mobility and offensive power. Ronin can dash around foes, confusing them as he closes in to use his most destructive weapon: an electric-charged broadsword. For maximum damage, all you needs to do is block incoming attacks with Ronin's blade and slice up his foes. In addition to his melee capabilities, Ronin also comes equipped with a Leadwall shotgun that can shred enemy HP, as well as an Arc Wave attack that can temporarily stun foes that attempt to get too close"
-
Beneath his visor, Cylus couldn't help but grin. "I like the sound of that, light weight and deadly." he comments. "But I'll give all the options a chance before I decide on anything." he says.

Edited by Royal Blade: 6/11/2017 11:32:21 PM"Second to last, is Tone. Just one more." "Tone defies the concept of enemy cover with a weapon arsenal that can surprise enemies with explosive attacks. Her Tracker Rockets ability fires a small barrage of homing missiles at a target, which when combined with her Sonar Lock ability, can curve around corners to hit enemies attempting to hide or escape. In addition, she comes equipped with a 40mm Tracker Cannon that can pick off foes from long distances. And with her Salvo Core, she can unleash an even larger wave of homing missiles at enemies. Be wary; her low defense means keeping your distance is vital, so make smart use of her Particle Wall shield whenever enemies get too close."
-
"Good, good. And the last?"
-
"Last but not least, we got Legion." "Legion is capable of laying down a copious amount of damage against opposing Titans, but only if you know how to manage the strengths and weaknesses of his long and short range firing modes. With his Predator Cannon, Legion can unleash a spray of bullets onto waves of enemies from a distance or widen its firing cone to better deal with enemies directly in front. Legion's firing modes also play into his other ability: the power shot. In short range mode, the attack knocks back enemies, while in long range mode it launches a powerful surge of energy. Legion's Smart Core only enhances his destructive capabilities by giving him the ability to auto-lock onto all targets with his Predator Cannon for brief period of time."
-
Cylus looks up at the large titan in wonder, excited to start his training. Looking to Marker, he nods his head towards Ronin, effectively making his choice.
-
"You know, you look like a Ronin type of guy. The only issue is the low armour. Though, I'm sure that won't be a problem with the high mobility." Marker walked towards Ronin, stopping in front of the Samurai like Titan "You wanna give it a whirl?"
-
"Of course I want to give it a whirl! Who wouldn't want to give it a whirl?!" Cylus exclaims as he approaches the titan. He pauses awkwardly in front of it before looking at Marker. "Uh, how does it work?"
-
"Alright." Marker stepped forward and pulled Cylus back "To get in, you need to jump towards it." Marker ran forward and jumped towards the Titan. It suddenly jolted into action, standing tall at nearly 25 feet. The mechanical Titan arm grabbed Marker, and a cockpit like door opened in the middle of the Titans chest Marker was set down, and the Chamber closed, with the Titan entering a defensive stance
-
"Just like that? Sure enough." Cylus says as he watches
-
The doorway opened up, and Marker jumped out, landing on the ground with a thump. He laughed a little as he stood tall and looked back at the Titan. "Not yet. We need to set up your neural link first."
-
"Another brain thing?" Cylus complains sarcastically, referring to the simulations at the safe house. "What's this one for?" he asks
-
"The simulation was to set up what you could do based on your abilities. This neural link will not only set up what you can do, but makes up what you need to pilot the Titan. You can't move the Titan's right arm forcefully."
-
"So I control it with my mind?! It's not just an exo-skeleton type thing?" Cylus looks at the Titan in awe. "That's way cooler than anything I ever had on my Earth! The closest thing to a neuro-link we had was a headband that would control Netflix by looking at things. And that didn't even work right!" Cylus exclaims before settling down and approaching Marker.
-
"TF-5858 relinquish neural controls to Potential Pilot 'Cylus." The Titan knelt down behind Marker and opened his hand outwards towards Cylus from Marker's right side. "Understood, Pilot Marker, relinquishing controls."
-
"TF- as in Tango Foxtrot. I like it." Cylus comments, looking to Marker for instruction.
-
"You may call me TF, TANGO, Foxtrot, Taf, Taffy..." "He gets the point. You can call the Titan what you wish. Just reach out, place your Palm on top of his
-
"We can decide on names later big guy, but for now..." Cylus follows Marker's instruction, simply placing his palm on top of the Titan's.
-
Marker's vision suddenly changed, and he found himself standing in a factory, his arms and legs detached. Wait.... This wasn't him. It must have been TF's past.
-
Cylus focuses on his surroundings, looking around the factory that he seemed to be in. Realizing that this must have been part of the link, he concluded that he was in TF's memories. Unsure of what to do, he simply let it play out.
-
Surprisingly, that was all he saw as He quickly came to the real world. TF looked down at the ground, almost in sadness
-
Cylus is taken back by the rush of his senses. He turned to Marker, still touching TF's palm "If I saw his memories... Did he see mine?" he asks
-
"Yes, I did, Pilot Cylus." TF spoke first, looking up at Cylus "So much death. So much sadness..."
