Apple MacBook Pro and Destiny 2

Wife wants a fancy new MacBook Pro. Shall I go the entry level one to save cash or get a fancy high end one to play Destiny 2 on? Question is... does Destiny 2 play on MacOS through battlenet?

They might support it but not initially like every other game on battle.net. Also imo buying a Mac to game with is dumb.
