"I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with all of it yet, I'm from a... less advanced era... but where is your father from?"
-
"Sphirin. It is populated by animals like here or on Earth, except they walk on two legs and they have hands. Sketch's mother was a wolf and his father was a cougar."
-
"That's very uh... different. I've never heard of anything quite like it..."
-
*She nods* "That makes sense. There is nothing quite like it in this universe......" *She goes dead silent for about ten seconds. Cornelia notices that the fins on Alice's head now blink with a blue stripe every time she tilts her head. The tilts seem to happen at half-second intervals. Perhaps they had been deactivated for stealth at night, and she no longer sensed any threat? That raises the question of wether she even knows if it's night or not. Her silver head sparkled with the light, becoming slightly mesmerizing to watch. When Alice finally spoke again, the light strips flashed in time with each syllable, further accentuating the strange, unnatural tempo of her speech.* "What is our reason for still being in this area? Should we travel to somewhere more appropriate for conversation?"

Cornelia looked around. "I guess so. I don't know where we would go though."

-
She looked out to the dojo, barely being able to see it in the darkness and with its distance. "Actually... I know of a 24 hour cafe not quite as far in Dojoville..."
-
"That is acceptable."
-
"Then let us go..." They started walking together, Cornelia leading. They walked for about thirty minutes, slowly getting closer to more populated areas of Dojoville. From there, they went to the cafe. It was quiet and dimly lit. The place was mostly empty apart from a few guests scattered in different seats, minding their own business. The person working the front counter knew her well, from there, they sat down at a table and Cornelia ordered herself a cup of coffee. "I don't suppose you'd want anything, would you?" She said.
-
"I do not require the consumption of food or water to survive. I only require time to recharge every two days as well as occasional oil and hydraulic fluid changes."
-
She stared blankly at Alice for a small moment. "Anyway... this place is a favorite of mine."
-
*She tilts her head around.* "It seems interesting."
-
"It is indeed. A good place to go after something like what happened earlier..."
-
"I would just continue to wander around if I had not met you." *She sounded like she was going to continue speaking, but after a couple awkward seconds it was clear she was done.*
-
She took a sip of her tea. "Speaking of, why were you all the way out there in those fields?"
-
"I was wandering around, exploring to expand my knowledge."
-
"Interesting... well you managed to not end up in the crossfire which is good."
-
"Why would I have been caught in the crossfire?"
-
"I don't know, I was out there shooting and you happened to be nearby. Might've gotten a stray bullet..."
-
*She shrugs stiffly.* "I can feel pain, but bullets are still far less effective at eliminating my ability to move and function effectively."
-
"That's... good. Good for exploring during a firefight I guess..."
-
"I was not in the firefight."
-
"Yea, but if you were... never mind..." She took another sip of her tea, stressfully.
-
"Do you possess any unusual abilities? Most members of the Dojo do."
-
"As you probably noticed earlier, I can occasionally teleport as well as levitate. What about you?"
