"Interesting... well you managed to not end up in the crossfire which is good."

"Why would I have been caught in the crossfire?"
-
"I don't know, I was out there shooting and you happened to be nearby. Might've gotten a stray bullet..."
-
*She shrugs stiffly.* "I can feel pain, but bullets are still far less effective at eliminating my ability to move and function effectively."
-
"That's... good. Good for exploring during a firefight I guess..."
-
"I was not in the firefight."
-
"Yea, but if you were... never mind..." She took another sip of her tea, stressfully.

"Do you possess any unusual abilities? Most members of the Dojo do."
-
"As you probably noticed earlier, I can occasionally teleport as well as levitate. What about you?"
-
"I know what is happening behind me, I am able to navigate just as well in the dark as in the light, and I can control gravity's effect on my body."
-
"Fascinating, I'm guessing the echo location helps with your awareness?"
-
*She nods.* "I may have disadvantages in the form of seeing color and the distance that I can see, but I have advantages as well. Those advantages being the two I stated earlier, as well as knowing the precise distance that an object is from me down to a millimeter. As long as it is in my range of awareness, of course."
-
"Ever consider getting something like eyes so you could actually see?"
-
"Would you trade your eyes for my fins so you could be aware of everything around you?"
-
"I would rather keep my eyes... they suit me better. Besides, I have someone who helps with awareness, my cyber ghost..."
-
Edited by Skatch142: 6/24/2017 4:48:07 AM"Well, assuming you had not mentioned the cyber ghost, it is the same for me. Being an android is a very unique experience to other life forms, if I qualify as one. The detail in which I can sense objects is higher than any organic being on this planet that uses echolocation, to the point that I can describe physical details as well as beings with eyes can. Would you like for me to describe my experience? In a way a human could interpret, of course. We both think, but in very, very different ways."
-
"Sure, why not? Share a little about your perspective..." She drank more of her tea while listening.

"I do not know what colors look like, I do not know that light and dark looks like, only how they are associated. Imagine every half-second, you send out a circle around you that grows and bounces off of every object in a room. When it comes back, it is no longer a circle, but instead it is in the shape of the room and the objects inside. I can feel that shape, I know how the textures feel only from the sound that travels back and the shape that sound takes. In a way, sound is like if I reached out and touched something without doing so. It is less like sight and more like reaching out and touching your surroundings. It's personal, and intimate. You become familiar with something immediately, because you know exactly how it feels." *Her words started disjointed and unnatural, but slowly her words seemed to start fitting together more naturally, her tempo becoming continuously more smooth until she finished talking.*

Cornelia sat in amazement for a moment. "What a way to experience life..."
