Cylus grabbed the door handle and slowly turned it before fully opening it.
He entered the room and scanned his surroundings

Cylus was in a hallway, to the immediate left was a dead end, and to the right, the hallway stretched out into darkness. Though, he could see what looked like movement coming up...
-Shoot -Don't do anything -Yell "Thunder" -Warn Marker
Signaling to Marker, he rose his hand for the group to slow down. "Q, what do you see?" he whispered.
*Scanning.*
Lifeforms, using some sort of comm frequency. Wait. It was Militia comms... "What do you see?" Marker whispered to Cylus, peaking out of the doorway
-
"Q says they're people using Militia Comms. Stay back for a moment." he says. "Let me check it out." Cylus stands and takes a few steps towards the individuals before shouting "Thunder!"
-
"Flash!" The unidentifiable accent of Gates was heard from down the hallway, and there was movement as Gates, Droz, Davis and Bear came into the view, the emergency light shining on them
-
"Ah, it's you guys!" Cylus says, nodding to the 6-4 members and lowering his weapons. He calls over to Marker and the group. "It's just Gates!" He turns back to Gates, Bear, Droz, and Davis. "So what lead you to the cafeteria?" he asks
-
"Sweep and Clear. We got the first floor and moved down here. Figured you'd move to the second floor before you came here." Gates said, looking past Cylus. "Lieutenant Colonel." She said, waving at Marker "Again with the formalities!" Marker said with a laugh as the two squads linked up. "Why are you guys down here?" Gates asked

Edited by BondyMilk: 6/23/2017 6:12:33 AM"One of Marker's old friends locked herself in the armory. Said a Sergeant came down to the cafeteria and hasn't been heard from since. We're here to check it out."
-
"Well then, let's get to it." Davis walked up the the doors of the cafeteria and knocked. Movement was heard inside, and suddenly two bullets came through the windows of the door, flying into the ceiling of the base "WOAH! EASY ON THE TRIGGER!" There was yelling inside the cafeteria that was somewhat muffled but could be heard fairly well
-
"THUNDER! THUNDER!" Cylus shouted into the window. "Who's in there?"
-
"Flash! This Sargeant James Thompson! Here with a squadron of men. Are you our rescue team?"
-
Cylus looks at Marker and speaks into the Comms. "Let me check this out. If it goes south, I can handle it. Wait for my call." he says. "No! It's just me! My name is Cylus, and I received a distress call from a woman named Shiela!" he called into the window. "Is it safe for me to come in?"
-
"Sheila? So she's alive?! Bloody hell that's fantastic. I'll get some tables out of the way, let you in." The sounds of a movement were heard inside the cafeteria and soon after the doors were opened, allowing Cylus inside "Really just you?" A man clad in Pilot Gear stepped forward and asked
-
Edited by BondyMilk: 6/23/2017 6:44:30 AM"Yeah, for now at least. I called for backup, and they should be here soon if not already." Cylus said. He was still taking his precautions. "So what happened? What do the Helldivers want with this outpost?" he asks
-
"Blood-divers? You mean the Helldivers? They're the bastards responsible? Should have known..." Inside the cafeteria, Cylus could see at least a dozen or so Militia troops scattered throughout the area "They're here because they think we're a government. They don't believe in systems of justice. Cray bastards."
-
oops lol, edited it
"Yeah, the Helldivers. Left one hell of a trail." Cylus comments. "How'd you guys manage to escape?"
-
"Once they punched through our defenses, I figure they'd look everywhere but the cafeteria. So I came down here, grabbed whoever I passed by and boarded up the doors with these cafeterias tables." "One or two of the bastards showed up, but the door was blocked off so they left."
-
As Sergeant Thompson told his story, Cylus whispered into the comms. "This sound right to you guys?" When Thompson finished, Cylus nodded. "Well, I'm glad you guys got down here safely. How long have you been barricaded in here?" he asks
-
"Since the invasion. Four Days Or so ago. Dunno, we don't have any clocks down here so it's hard to tell how long has passed." The Sargeant stated
-
"Well at least you had plenty of food." Cylus says with a nod to the counters. "But since then, no activity?"
-
"No. No activity down here, but we heard something yesterday. Maybe pirates or something. Not entirely sure."
-
"I encountered a few grunts, but nothing more than that. The pirates must be elsewhere at the moment." Cylus replies. He looks around at the other people in the room
-
Various men and women were sitting around the cafeteria with two at each of the four doors that led out of the cafeteria. Each room had two or three tables stacked up against it, making it harder to get in "Five of them I'm assuming?" The Sargeant asked, looking around
-
"Yeah, they had been going through some panels in the security room... They had also been interrogating some of your men. How did you know?"
-
"We heard footsteps, Blake over there said it was four or five. So I went with the latter." One of the grunts waved at the sound of his name
