The soft breeze and fresh air of summer blew through Cyan's chestnut-oak brown hair as she rested on a park bench, watching Dojo members and others pass by. A lot of thoughts were passing through her head, Thoughts about the Exiled, the clan she led, about her past, and about her brother, who hadn't been seen for almost three months. Yes, he did leave a note every now and then somehow, but sometimes the notes were charred and blackened, making it damn near impossible to read them. She sighed, taking out the first note and read it again, for somehow it seemed to ease her mind whenever she did.
"To whoever reads this,
"First off, I want you to know that I am fine, or as fine as one can be in hell. I have captured an old tower on one of the Sulfur lakes, and despite it smelling worse than Mion after not taking a bath after a week, I've grown to feel safe in it.
"Of course I don't know how safe I'll feel as time progresses, since I must do my jobs that I have promised both myself for years and Serenity just recently. What I am doing is dangerous, I've never brought someone back like this because He blocked everything off. It's becoming hard to move around in my old home. If it wasn't for the lack of security around this place, I would probably be almost dead right now, and the note would be much different. But, I persevere.
"I hope everything back there is fine, since I cannot enjoy it with you. I really miss everyone there, and I am sad I will not be able to come back for a while. But the deeds must be done, and I have sworn that I would do this, and my word, to me, is a thousand times more solid than the Iron Orbs I form. Trust me, when I get back, you may not recognize me at first, because I've lost a little weight, and my razor isn't of the best quality, but then be so glad I'm here and never want me to leave again.
"Your's truly,
"Mortar"
She read through it, over and over again, a single tear down her cheek, but she quickly wiped it off, since she didn't cry often. This note came a week after he left and seemed the most optimistic of them all. She sighed, sitting herself up. Deciding she was going to train instead of mope, she started walking to the training room.

Cyan walked through the door of the Training room, and, getting a staff from the range of weapons that they had available, she slowly entered the room, only to be met with white walls, dim from very little light. In fact, the light only came from the doorway and something strange on the wall. Seeing this rather odd, she slowly approached it, staff at the ready. It was an orange ring of light with a strange mist floating inside of it. When she got close enough, she could hear things inside of it. Things like moaning souls, wild creatures, and the sound of fire burning. Then she realized... This wasn't just a strange thing, she's seen this before, she's done this before...
... This was a portal.

*She takes a deep breath in* Just gonna pretend I didn't hear that
-
"See? Makes you uncomfortable. You know how many people I lost to the Vex? Too many."
-
Alright, then. Not talk about it. But if I can talk about the demons in that hell you were in just a moment ago it should make you more open minded. Just... thinking out loud.
-
"So there's all kinds of bastards down there?"
-
Well, from the thing you shot in the face to massive projectile shooting spiders, yep, a hell lot of demons, ghouls and the like
-
"Interesting." Scorch said, falling silent
-
You could say that I guess. Of course, I've been in and out since I was six, so maybe some things have gone extinct
-
"In and out? Why ever return?"
-
Well, necessary materials, some good metals that are expensive
