"Well, by all means lead the way!" Cylus says enthusiastically. "But by the sounds of it, you won't be coming along."

"No I won't be, unfortunately I have matters to attend to here on Takatai. Working on the relations with the Alliance." Marker said, leaving the room and walking to a Plaza in the village
-
"I understand." Cylus says. He steps out of the armory and follows Marker. "So when and where an I going to be picked up?" he asks
-
"4:07 at the plaza we usually extract from." Marker said, leading Cylus through the streets
-
"Remind me, what time is it now?" Cylus asks, looking at the sky.
-
"4:03. Or 1603, whichever you prefer." Marker said, turning to look at Cylus
-
"So I've got four minutes." Cylus says, looking down at himself. "Give me a moment." He suddenly runs off in the direction of his armory, disappearing within. A chilling sensation ran over Marker and everything seemed to slow down. Impulse. Less than a minute later Cylus comes back out with his gear, this time also bearing an assault rifle. He mounts it to his back and approaches Marker. "Well, I'm ready now." he says with a chuckle.
-
"4:04. Nice work, are you getting faster?" Marker teased with a chuckle as the duo entered a large open plaza that was mostly empty
-
"Well to bring it up... maybe..." he says. "Something about this place has some sort of... fueling vibe to it. Like it invites those with abilities." Cylus comments. "Anyhow, we can talk about that later. The ship will be here any minute now."
-
"4:05." Marker said, tapping his foot on the ground as he looked over at Cylus "You'll be riding with a mercenary crew that there is virtually not a single bit of Backstory on. We know the people of the crew, but their Backstories are unknown, even the ship is unknown. Try getting close. See what you can dig up. Don't be picky though."
-
"Any things I should avoid. Trigger words?" Cylus says almost sarcastically. "You'd be surprised by the amount of people that one moment were my allies and then were trying to kill me the next. Some people are crazy like that."
-
"Avoid referencing an old Captain." Marker said, suddenly falling Dead serious as he turned to look at Cylus "Do not mention a single word about it."
-
"Will do. Thanks for the heads up." Cylus says. He looks up into the sky, awaiting his drop ship.
-
The dropship wasn't seen... "4:07 Ready?" Marker asked, as he looked up as well. Suddenly, a small groan was heard as the ship literally appeared, floating in the air and landing in the plaza. "Some of our dropships are outfitted with FTL." Marker said, shaking his head as he patted Cylus' back The ramp dropped open, revealing an empty interior
-
"Well then I guess I'll see you later." Cylus says as he take a step onto the ramp. He waves to Marker before turning and climbing to his seat.
-
Probably should have made this part clear. You can only stand in the dropship, since they're mostly used for supplies there's no seats
Cylus saw that there were no seats in the dropship, but in the cockpit there was a fold out chair behind the two pilots of the shuttle
-
Oh gotcha! I kinda imagined a sort of hull where the walls had those little benches and nets and stuff
Cylus grabbed the chair and propped it against the wall, sitring down and making himself comfortable. As the ramp began to come back up, he nodded to Marker one last time.
-
It does have the Nets, but due to the size and only carrying 7 men at max. No room for anything else. That's why the Militia is developing a newer version meant for larger scale troop transports.
Marker waved as the ramp closed and the ship blasted off. A few minutes later, in landed in the Militia's Paragon and he was escorted to the bridge, where he Met the Captain of the Vessel. "You must be Cylus." The Captain said, extending a hand for a shake
-
"Yes, indeed I am. Nice to meet you Captain." Cylus says, shaking the man's hand.
-
"We'll be accompanying you into the Horse Head Nebula, where you'll rendezvous with the Invictus Crew and lead a small squadron of troops into potential negotiations or potential firefights."
-
"Understood. How long's the ride?" Cylus asks, checking the clock on his arm panel
-
"Horsehead Nebula is on the very brink of the Frontier, entering some uncharted territory even. It'll be a 15 minute ride."
-
Cylus punches in a timer. "Is it alright if I go get myself accommodated for now? I can meet you back here before it's time to leave."
-
"Just a moment, if you please. Have you been briefed on the situation?"
-
"Erm, not entirely. This would probably be the time to do so." Cylus replies
-
"The Invictus crew is a multiversal mercenary crew, as such They have a member of Noble Squadron aboard their ship, if you played Halo: Reach. I believe it was once a game. I digress, this member has a communication device set to emergency broadcast channels, sending the signal out as he traveled in hopes of finding more like him. He got a response."
