The dojo and the civilization around it was particularly quiet this evening. People took advantage of it in different ways, but a select few used it to host Shalidor's funeral. Haknir, being his best friend mostly took over, saying a small speech for him. The attendees were some of the Sandello members as well as Matt himself, some miscellaneous dojo members, and a few people whom shalidor had helped heal when they were injured. Finally, there was osprey, he didn't hold much respect for the man, but joined them to remember him anyway.
As the service went on, people began to pay their respects to him before being interrupted. They heard a beeping noise, which came from Osprey. As rude as it looked for him to have such a distraction, it wasn't his fault. A separate person caused it, someone only Osprey knew. He looked up to the skies and saw it, a small glimmer of light falling into the atmosphere. While most people were still grieving, this brought joy to Osprey. The glimmer got closer and began to rumble, it was the sound of an engine. The small glimmer turned out to be a ship and it flew towards the dojo woods while trying to slow down, but not fast enough. The ship crashed into the trees, creating a clearing. Osprey and a few others immediately went to go see what it was.

"Sure, why not?" They sat back, and after a few moments, the sound of an engine bursted out. Above the trees, they could a small flying object. In fact, it was a man with a wing suit, flying towards them. As he got closer, Fulmen's tracker began to beep. "There he is..." When he got close enough, he landed by them, he had a full suit of high tech armor and a staff on his back. "Fulmen... I thought you were long gone. And who's your pal here?"
-
"Well, I wouldn't say 'pal', I just met him, but I'm Venöm... I'm assuming that you're Osprey?"
-
"That I am." Fulmen got up and greeted Osprey. "He found my ship after I landed."
-
Edited by medic: 6/29/2017 8:07:20 PMVenöm grunted, "much of a landing that was..."
-
Fulmen looked at venöm. "Oh shut it, you wouldn't have done much better given the circumstances."
-
Edited by medic: 6/29/2017 8:07:02 PM"I wouldn't have put myself in those circumstances in the first place" Venöm said while chuckling...
-
"There were a lot of circumstances leading up to that, so I wouldn't expect you to be in them..."
-
Edited by medic: 6/29/2017 8:23:53 PM"Ahhh, probably not! Well said!" Venöm then said, "I love stories, and I feel like this one could be a good one!"
-
"A few years ago, I joined the Ascent program where I had to go into space and do a variety of things, including traveling out of this solar system. Problems arose when our ships lost connections due to our lousy ground control." He gave a dirty look to Osprey. "Hey, how were we supposed to know that there would so much interference out there?!" "Anyway, the others got lost, but I managed to make it back home after some of my own navigation."
-
"Ahhh...." Venöm stated. "Well, other solar systems ain't the thing for me, I like this solar system just the way it is..."
-
Edited by Haknir: 6/30/2017 5:02:33 AM"Believe me, when you've seen some of the others, it's really magnificent and quite unbeatable of a sight," said Fulmen.
-
"Hmm? Well, I guess I'll have to believe you cause I've never seen any others or any more than 5 planets of this solar system..."
-
One of those at the funeral happened to be Marcus Cambria, who looked silently at the body. "Good luck out beyond the outback, my friend." He says to a person he wouldn't even recognize. However, the massive ship from before crashing nearby allowed him to investigate the place. He still had his pistol from being sent from the Great War, and had his Australian uniform from the war still on him. He approached Haknir. "What in bloody hell is all this?" He asks.
-
Haknir looked out at the crash site, then back at the man. "I don't have a clue, but I'd suggest you follow Osprey if you have more questions..." He pointed out to osprey who was already on his way, rushing into the woods.
-
He decides to do so, making a rush in all hell to the site of the crash. "First, I get sucked to another damn planet god knows how many years into the future, then I get rescued by some family who looks human enough, and then I have this to worry about?! What's next, an army of evil space robots from another universe come down to kill us all?!" Marcus thought, as he ran after Osprey.
-
Osprey noticed someone chasing him and slowed down a tiny bit to let him catch up. "How's it going, stranger?"
-
"Hello....mind telling me why the hell a really big thing just happened to crash here?!" He yells, of course breathing heavily from the paranoia that was slowly building up.
-
"A friend of mine has returned home. For the longest time, we thought he was dead." As they got closer, they could here the wreckage, the engine was still barely running and there were small fires in random spots near the clearing where most of the trees had been completely knocked down.
-
"Holy s***, you were friends with one of those people on the zepplins?" Marcus asked loudly, as he took in the crashed ship with a mixed feeling of shock, and awe.
-
As they entered the clearing, he had a better view of it. It was somewhat large and had jet engines on the back. Despite crashing into the ground, it kept its shape. "I don't know if I'd call it a zeppelin, but yea, I am friends with the guy in here. That is, if he's in there..."
-
"Considering the crash was like that, how could he? He should be god damn dead from something like that...hell, if humans can't survive tanks crushing them, or a German zeppelin crashing into the Somme, how do you think they could survive THAT of all things?!" He yells, most likely in disbelief that there were any survivors. Nonetheless, he helped Osprey with looking for any of them.
-
"No no, these things are built a bit more sturdy..." Around the side, they found a door to the ship, it was still shut. "Wanna help me get that open?"
-
Edited by A Stormy Dio: 7/1/2017 3:21:07 AM"Oy, right!" He responds, still cautious of Osprey's affirmation of the sturdiness of said material upon the ship. He began helping Osprey get the door open.
-
Once they got it open, he could see how Osprey was right. Everything was still in tact except for a few small items scattered around the floor and some broken light fixtures. At the front, they could see a man sitting in a chair. He turned around, clothed fully in gray armor and face paint. "Osprey... glad to see you old friend." He looked at the stranger standing by him. "And you are?..."
-
Two guards watched from afar, perched in trees. "I heard it was Korsis." "That asshat is back again?" "From what I've he-" The guard stopped and looked down at his chest. A bright red blade protruded from it. "Yes... I'm back." The remaining guard turned in shock and fear as he saw his friend drop to the ground, dead. Before he could say anything, his head fell in a single swipe from Korsis' blade. He let out a small chuckle as he deactivated his saber, jumped down, and approached the site of the funeral.
