He pulled out his newly forged Lucky Bladedancing Knife, and infused it with Arc energy as he destroyed all the Vex within the area.
Unfortunately, more goblins had shown up.
But within seconds they were sliced to pieces.

*The figure lowered his pulse rifle, looking around.* Well, looks like this sector is clear. Of course, i do not need to wonder about why they were here. This place shifts through time similarly to them, just not in the rigid way they do
-
"Who are you?" Mark asked, turning around, "And where are you?" Havoc scans the area, highlighting the figure.
-
*He was simply fifteen feet away, sitting there, wiping off a strange pulse rifle that seemed to have an Eliksni origin* Styx-12. I'm a guardian as you are
-
The Exo sighed, "You're not the first one I've met during my travels of this place. And I reckon you won't be the last." Mark approached Styx. "Quite an interesting pulse rifle you have there," Havoc notes, scanning it.
-
Yeah, it was a Lord of Wolves that I found off a dead guardian on Earth's moon that the Gunsmith modified for me. It's pretty much merged with a Parthian Shot.
-
"That's pretty damn cool. Who didn't have a Parthian Shot?" Mark asked. "It's still in the meta," Havoc notes, "After 5 years of being introduced into it."
-
I mean, it was collecting dust in my Vault, surprised that they got it back online. *He watched Mark's ghost as it moved around, kind of missing his*
-
"Where's your ghost?" Mark asked.
-
Oh, Demosthenes? He... *He paused a moment, taking a deep breath in* I was doing a routine patrol in the Dead Sector in the New Texas section of Mars, when we were ambushed by Cabal. Out-manned and outgunned, we barely left alive, but my ghost... he didn't make it
-
"That must be... poor Demothenes. May he find rest," Havoc sobbed. Mark at this point had cradled Havoc in his hands and had pulled his Ghost as close to him as possible. Havoc was crying. Mark reassuring his Ghost, "Shhhh. He's in a better place now." Mark was trying not to cry.
-
*Styx nodded. At this point, at least to him, crying was pointless. Instead, his mind was filled with thoughts of Vengeance, of going back with his corrupted light and killing as many Cabal as he could. If he could find Demosthenes, dead or alive, he would be relieved, but for now, all he could do was plot* Do not be sad. So long as he isn't being used by the Cabal themselves I can still feel relief. But in the meantime, to replace the Light he made for me, I met another Guardian, who had a similar story, of when she lost her ghost to... Vex, I think it was, but the Fallen took her and gave her corrupted light using SIVA. And when we met she gave me some of that too.
-
"How exactly is it corrupt, and how does it help stay alive? Guh. So many questions. I spend too much time with my best friend," Mark muttered.
-
If he's a Warlock I can't blame you. It is corrupt because it is a form of Siva that the Winter Splicers used. And I'm an Exo, so I'm pretty sturdy. Except, I was pretty much running on fumes when I got here
-
"Yeah. She is a Warlock," Mark sighed, "And when did Winter get a hold of SIVA. I thought we had it quarantined to the Plaugelands and Luna?" "Maybe he's from a different timeline, unless Winter breached the Dust Palace," Havoc answered.
-
well, House of Winter is a primarily Venus based house, but you're forgetting that Venus, during the Golden Age was a bastion of research. My guess? After working on prototypes at Clovis Bray, it was sent to the Ishtar collectives, but it got there a little before the collapse, so they were never able to perfect it. Some Devil Splicers, after Winter had found this chamber, helped them perfect it and thus Winter Splicers were born. Nasty little things, they were
-
"I didn't see any SIVA on Venus," Mark said, "And I was there recently. Also, Why would Clovis Bray send prototypes to their rivals?"
-
*He sighed* I don't know everything, okay. I'm just making assumptions at this point
-
"Hold on.... who is the Hunter mentor, just out of curiosity?" Mark asked.
-
Hmm... Good question. I think his name was Wayde or something... No, that's not it... Slade? No, that's a DC character...
-
"Cayde. Cayde-6. More proof that you're from a different timeline," Mark muttered.
-
hm? Wait, who is your Hunter Vanguard?
-
"Cayde was... until I lost the dare. And I just couldn't stand stay in the same room as Zavala. I don't think I lasted more than two months. I have no idea who it is, now," Mark told him.
-
Well that MAY mean we're still in the same timeline, haven't been to the Tower in... forever. Not since that fateful day with Demosthenes.
-
"Okay then.... name off as many Warlock legends you can think of," Mark said. He waited patiently. He listened for one name in paticular.
-
W... I don't know! Do I look like I paid attention in Guardian History Class? The only few names I did catch were Titans, Dredgen Yor and Wei-Ning, and only because it sounded like the word Waning, what the moon does when it's becoming a new moon, and is being engulfed in Darkness. Oh, and Kronos, too, that name I remember.
