"Sure thing! Lead the way, good sir!"
She giggled and nodded.

He chuckled as they approached the front doors to the cafe. Garin held open the door for Iso as she walked through the massive golden doors. "Fancy, eh?"
-
"Yeah, I guess so. Thank you." She nodded at Garin as she passed the door he held open.
-
"Of course." He walked in behind her and motioned for them to sit down at a nearby booth. The sits were real leather and the table was polished mahogany. Within moments, a server approached them and pulled out a notepad. "Hello, my name is James, I'll be your server today. Could I get you two something to drink?" "Coffee, black, please." "Alllright. And you, madame?"
-
"Madame?" Iso chuckled and shook her head. "Just some water is fine."
-
"Alright. I'll have that right out for ya." The server turned and disappeared behind a door. "So... I don't think I caught your name... funny." He sighed. "I'm Garin Fohrik." He reached across the table to shake her hand.
-
Iso grabbed onto his hand slowly and gently. "I'm Isorropia, but just call me Iso. Everyone just calls me by Iso."
-
Why didn't she recognize his name, though?[spoiler/] "Alright, Iso." The server approached them with their drinks and set them down in front of them before speaking again. "If you lovebirds need anything, just holler for me, alright?" He smiled and walked back through the door.
He's infamous for murdering about three hundred people 5 months ago
"Well... maybe we are, and we just don't realize it yet?" Garin smiled and took a sip of his coffee.
-
"I guess that's possible..." Iso giggled yet again as she took a sip of her water. "I wouldn't mind being in love again."
-
"Neither would I..." He reached out to touch her hand and smiled softly.
-
She looked down at his hands and then back to his eyes. She didn't move her hand, but her expression seemed unsure of the touching. "Yeah, I have been rather lonely lately..."
-
"I could say the same..." He drew his hand back as he took another sip of his coffee.
-
"I...separated from someone recently." Iso sighed a little before smiling again. "So, what do you do?"
-
"I used to be a mercenary, but that got me into a lot of trouble... now, I don't really do anything but patrol the Dojo. It boring as all hell, but it's something." He sighed sadly as he took a sip of his coffee. "Ya know, this coffee tastes weird. Not like how I usually make bla-" Garin fell flat onto the table, unmoving.
-
"Yay, another guy that probably has people trying to poison him...perfect. Check please!" Iso called out jokingly before getting up and shaking Garin lightly. "You at all conscious, man?"
-
Garin did not budge. Instead, he stopped breathing altogether. He was probably going to die if she didn't get someone to help them.
-
"Isn't there a healing mage or someone nearby that can help? Anyone?!" Iso spun around asking everyone in the shop. "This stuff is like everyday for the Dojo. One of you has to at least have called the hospital by now."
-
Garin's head popped back up. "You do care. I thought it would be obvious by the fact that I hadn't spilled my coffee. But in truth, it does taste strange."
-
"I'm done." Iso rolled her eyes as she walked towards the exit. "Pretending to be poisoned? Really?"
-
"Yes. I do that everyone, including my own brother from time to time. Besides," He set down a tip on the table before getting up to follow her. "Didn't you say this was normal?"
-
"I guess, but I'm not dealing with another paranoid soldier. If you want to talk every once and a while I'm okay with that, but we're not going to ever go further than that." She kept walking.
-
He sighed. "Why not, Iso?" He continued to walk beside her.
-
"The last paranoid soldier I got with I ended up divorcing because he almost killed our daughter several times and even now almost killed her a few days ago." She didn't stop.
