The City of Ruin
Dojo Outskirts, Midnight
It was a relatively peaceful night for most of the Dojo's members, only disturbed by the slight blow of wind across the landscape. The sky was clear and the air was warm to anyone who stepped outside. It almost seemed like the night could at least provide a break from the place's utter sense of nonsense...
But, as with the Dojo's usual luck, it seemed it wouldn't last that long at all...
The air began to tear apart in the empty space that lied in front of the gates. It appeared to be a strange dimensional-rift no more in size than two people standing next to each other. The tear created a ghostly grey color where it touched the air, changing the night from calm and peaceful to quite horrific. With it fully opened, it allowed for someone to step through...
A man dressed in a finely tailored suit stepped through the rift, looking around and at the gates as he did so. The tear simply closed behind him as he moved closer to the Dojo. Once he was near the entrance, he knocked on its gates and waited for an answer.
Open to everyone. Take a trip to everyone's favorite underwater city in this new, overly psychotic adventure! For a limited time only! No refunds!

That is, for wasted time...
Edited by ALIAS-F4LS: 7/17/2017 10:08:15 PMAs time passed and he heard no answer, Chesh took it upon himself to consider it an incorrect answer. A dark substance as black as a starless sky began to take the entire room. It was as it drew closer it became clear, it wasn't a substance but rather a endless dark with seemingly no end in sight. Within it was a pitch black Big Daddy, then two, then several. A large twisted smile hung from the darkness with no face to carry it. It seemed the Cheshire cat had dragged them into the abyss of Wonderland and was manifesting something that they could fear. The floor felt strange, below them were several Little Sisters sucked dry of any life and the Big Daddies seemed enraged at what they saw.
-
Intercoms turned on, and someone began to speak... "Shit. This isn't good. All splicers, retreat to the square!" They began to back off
-
Chesh's dangerous riddle started to dissipate and his twisted set went with it. He didn't know the name of the things he made but he did know they terrified the splicers. To him it just looked like a large scuba man with a drill. He then went back so see if the man who guided him here was still there.
-
As a matter of fact, he was "Impressive. You actually were able to make the splicers run."
-
"I have a few aces up my sleeve" He seemed to joke as the last of the darkness faded away, leaving the place entirely undisturbed. It was hard to tell if what he had done was real or simply a trick. Either way he seemed pleased in its success. "So shall we go on?"
-
"Yes. Our next objective is the main square. We'll be meeting up with a group of loyalists up ahead." He began to move toward the hole, looking around for any more Splicer activity
-
"The loyalist? What are they? Someone trying to restore this place?" Chesh followed along looking for more splicers with the man leading the way.
-
"Sort of. They are the last remaining people who are loyal to Andrew Ryan's cause, and seek to restore this place to what it was meant to be."
-
"So there was a time before this place was crawling with, well, more things to play with I guess." Bringing someone from a mad land into a place wracked with insanity clearly made him almost feel at home only it seemed more industrial than his natural habitat.
-
"That is correct. Seeing as though you came from a place of chaos, it shouldn't be too hard to understand." He quickly messaged the loyalists via a small communication device, and proceeded to look around again
-
"Hmm, is there something wrong?" Chesh began Looking the same directions as the man seeing if there was something worth keeping an eye on.
-
"Maybe. I'm not quite sure." He waited, as if he was sensing the movements in the air
-
Chesh protracted his claws in case what he was talking about was more enemies.
-
Sorry for not responding
He heard something, like metal crawling on metal. There was some clatter and a strange smell. Whatever it was, it was stalking them. "Be ready to bolt when I say."
-
Edited by ALIAS-F4LS: 7/23/2017 3:59:36 AM"Hmm? Ok" He went into a runners stance and waited for the signal.
It's Alright
-
There was a metallic shriek, and another wall exploded outward "Run"
-
Chesh obeyed and began running as fast as he could only taking a quick glance at what made the crashing sound.
-
He didn't see anything "Get to the train station! The bulkhead is down the next corridor."
-
Chesh made for the corridor as fast as he could making quick teleportation jumps to keep up with the pace. "What are we running from?"
-
"Something that shouldn't be, designed by the Splicers to kill anyone and everyone else. Now hurry, we need to get to the control room and lockdown the city. Otherwise they're won't be any city left."
-
"Fair enough, lead the way"
-
They kept running, eventually reaching a bulkhead door. He opened the door, and quickly walked through. There was one metallic shriek and the door was slammed shut.
-
Edited by ALIAS-F4LS: 7/25/2017 12:46:52 AMChesh waited till the noise died down from inside the bulkhead door and put his ear to it. "And I thought tea parties were dangerous" He said with a surprisingly straight face.
-
"Everything's dangerous here. Now, the train station is just up ahead. We'll ride it to center of the city and seize control away from the Splicers."
-
"Hmm maybe I should use a gun..." He thought out loud. He pulled out a deck of metal cards instead, holding then at the ready. "The should still do the trick"
