[b]Gizmos and Gadgets[/b]
[b]location: Unknown Facility
Time: Midday[/b]
[i]It was here in a unknown facility where warning sirens blared as everything was quickly thrown into chaos as staffs members fled wearing lab coats and scrambled for the exits. Something quite large could be heard stalking the halls. It didn't sound quite natural as a distinct clanking and quiet hum of gears as it dragged something quite large and sharp behind it.
It was looking for something as it spoke in a creepy robotic voice as it tore open doors looking for it while calling out.
"Come.... here... kitty... kitty..."it says
Then something could be heard scrambling in the vents above as it spoke the large creature just looks up and raises the sword its carrying and stabs into that location. Its met with angry hissing and movement. Why it was after it was unclear.
The creature stands about 6'1 feet, clearly mechanized with some complex software with other complex metals and what not.
It was charcoal grey with green eyes. It seemed alien in its construction.
Up in the vents was a terrified akiko hiding from the creature that just stabbed it's sword into the vent just inch from her. She continues to move unsure of really how she got here and how she was get out. But that was cause what happened to her earlier. [/i]
[b]A Day Earlier at night... [/b]
[i]akiko was out at night running around in a nearby village investigating a strange rumor. but it had turned out to be nothing or so she thought until someone had snuck up on her grabbing her quickly by the scruff of her neck as she was shoved into a sack. then tossed into what she thought was truck because the ground was hard and cold.
She was scared too because she had no idea who these people were or what they wanted with her. She just knew that she had been tricked possibly. After some amount driving she felt the truck stop then someone opens the back and the bag she was in starts to move swaying as it was being carried. She could also hear people speaking in different language all together.
Akiko then was dump into a small cage which she backed into the corner of simply terrified. She then saw that creature contained in a glass room with several unmoving animals as it walked back and forth. She knew her fate was sealed if it got ahold of her.[/i]

Cylus crouched and peeked around the corner, watching the strange alien-like creature stabbing at the ceiling vents above. It seemed to be calling to something and much to his suprise, it knew English. "Q, can we get a scan on whatever that thing is? When I answered this distress call, I wasn't expecting some god damn alien!" [quote]*I'm unable to ID that thing. Quite frankly, I'm about as lost as you are. However, there seems to be a small cat in the vents.* Q, Cylus' A.I, responds.[/quote] "Why the hell does it want a cat?" [quote]*Probably to eat.* Q says nonchalantly[/quote] "Thanks. I totally needed that." Cylus pulls a small metallic sphere from his pocket and rolls it around the corner. It stops beneath the monster and lets out a high frequency burst of noise before exploding. "Well now we know the new concussive grenades work." Cylus comments. Upon the grenade's explosion, Cylus drew his dual Mk23 pistols and charged the monster, only hoping it was somewhat dazed by the blast.

[i]it stunned was slightly as it spoke again. "Systems... jammed.. reboot... in.. T-minus... 30 seconds..."it says The cat in vents could be heard still moving around. A familiar voice could heard echoing inside the vents as the creature rebooting itself while starting to speaking in more gibberish.[/i]

He knew he had to act fast, so he quickly reholstered his pistols and shot grapples from both of his wrists at the monstrosity. Wrapping up its legs, arms, and body up to the neck, he jumped onto its back and pushed it onto its face. When he seemed satisfied, Cylus looked up at the vents and shot a grapple at one of the plates, pulling it down to the ground. He reached up into the vent shaft, extending a hand for the small cat to climb onto. "C'mon cat, we should probably move before it wakes up."

[i]akiko pretty scrambled to the hand climbing onto it shaking in fear. She was looking at it with absolute fear. It was on the ground still rebooting as it was tied up. It was clear that it was that it was akiko as it was a fluffy silver furred cat with green eyes.[/i]

"Hmm... I know you." Cylus says, looking at the small cat. When he saw the bright green eyes, he immediately jogged his memory. "Akiko." he says, nodding and greeting the cat. "What are you doing up there? And what is [i]that?[/i]" he asks, looking at the monster. Any second now it would reboot, and Cylus had to move.

"I don't know but i was abducted and brought and that thing broke out of its cage"says akiko [i]she was still shaking as she looked at him as her ears remained flattened down. The creature starts trying to move while speaking again. "Error... motor function.... restricted... hostiles... nearby... scanning... "it says Akiko looked at in fear shaking even more when it spoke.[/i] "We need to move"says akiko

"Got it, that thing won't be held long!" Cylus says. With that, he begins running down the halls the way he came until the noise of the monster shouting after them began to fade. He held Akiko in his arm, a pistol ready in his other hand, trying to navigate his way out of the place.

"I seen it rip one them in two like it was nothing. It tricked them into opening it."says akiko [i]she was listening for any sound of it as she was being carried. She seemed to be still shaking a bit but not as much. The Creature however frees itself from its bindings. It seemed to pause for a second like it was processing something important. It proceed to start walking in their direction. Its metal feet clanking on the floor as it walks clearly in no hurry. [/i]

"You hear that?" Cylus pauses to listen. The metal footsteps echoed throughout the halls and he drastically picked up the pace. "We have to find a way out of here!" he says, looking left and right for a way to go.

"Not good"says akiko [i]she could hear it coming she then looked around to either side unsure where to go next.[/i] "I havent seen very much of this place im afraid."says akiko

"Would you know the way if we went back the way we came? I have a crazy idea, but a crazy idea that will work." Cylus says. He turns and faces the source of the noise, coming right around the corner.

"Yes i do but i would have get it to chase me back there because i only know it's back that way."says akiko [i]she could hear it coming this way still. She was scared to be certain but she knew that was where it was caged originally.[/i]

"Well, you're going to want to brace yourself for this. For a first time experience, it will be quite... Interesting." he says. Cylus turns to face the way they came, standing his ground and waiting for the monster to come.

[i]sure enough it comes into veiw and when it sees them it starts picking up its pace moving a little faster. Its starts speaking again. "Targets... sighted... hostile... level...five... proceeding.. with... caution..."it says Akiko doesn't like the sound of that at all as she seen it moving faster.[/i] "Uh... its..picking up speed"says akiko

"Then so will we." Cylus starts off with a slow jog but bursts into a run as they come closer and closer to the monster. He kept running as the gap closed, waiting for it to make a move.

[i]it swings its arm trying to grab them. It had a surprising amount speed and it was grabbing mainly for akiko. [/i] "Oh crap"says akiko [i]she is fearful as she sees it reaching for them.[/i]

At the moment the beast swings its arm, Cylus activates [i]Phase Run Mode[/i] on his suit. Upon doing so, he was able to enter a mirrored dimension and evade the swing. To the monster, he simply vanished into thin air, leaving nothing but wisps of smoke. "I've learned a few tricks since the last time we met." he says. He slid beneath the monster, Akiko still in his arms, and then jumped to his feet behind it. Deactivating the suit's ability, he reappeared a few yards away and let out a chuckle. "Hey!" he shouted. "You'll have to move faster than that!"

[i]it seemed have paused looking for cylus before announcing he spoke when he did. It turned around and spoke again. "Activating... protocol 67-5...." It seems like it was getting more aggressive as it turned around. It starts moving towards them with more speed. [/i] "I think it's working"says akiko

"Well, you're my guide." Cylus says before making a break down the hall. He sprints towards the way they came before stopping where he first encountered the monstrosity. "No pressure, just tell me where to go." he says

"Oh ok well take a left"says akiko [i]she looked down the hallway remembering which path she ran down the first time. She could hear it coming after them still. [/i]

Cylus turns left and runs down the hall, following Akiko's directions. "What next?"

"Go straight for a bit then take a left"says akiko [i]it was following them still not aware that they were going to trap it. [/i]

Cylus kept running under Akiko's instruction until they came to a large opening. "This it?" he asks

"Yes this is it those guys didn't last long when he escaped."says akiko [i]she shudders when she looks into the room. There was a bunch dead bodies everywhere scattered in various place all ripped apart.[/i]

"How did the gas work? Was it automated of did the men do it manually?" Cylus asks. He looks around at the bodies and dismisses them, searching for something that might help
