Cael had not expected the ball of fire explode, and the resulting blast staggered him backwards slightly, but he quickly regained balance.
He made a motion with his right arm, his muscles relaxed and the motion fluid. The moisture in the air began pulling together to form a large, floating bubble of water; about a yard in diameter.
From a distance, Cael controlled this bubble to extinguish as many fireballs as fast as he could. As he did so, he rapidly backed up–in case he didn't manage to extinguish them all.

Xeno watched the bubble extinguish most of the balls of fire. Pausing as he knows that Cael is now out of reach he sighs. Jumping off the wall and onto the ground as his hand becomes flat. The flames on his hands going out as wind wraps around it. Putting his hand to the ground as he makes a swiping motion. As he does so a blade of wind is shot forward ripping apart the ground as it travels forward. Pieces of debris from the ground being caught up in at as he looks forward. Shifting his feet now as he does so a new stance with the new wind. Taking a deep breath as he watches Caels movements. He couldn't talk anymore not if he wanted to take this seriously.

Cael had a bit of wind of his own; he twisted his body so he faced left, thrusting his arms out. A massive blast of air struck him, not harming him, but blasting him straight out of Xeno's attack, effectively dodging it by a great distance. It was still controlled, however, so Cael managed to easily stop the momentum. He looked back at Xeno, backing up to create a good amount of distance between them. As he did so, more water took form from moisture in the air, and froze into ice; forming two, large icicles, each three feet in diameter, with points sharper than knives. One icicle was on Xeno's left, the other on his right. Cael clapped his hands together, and the icicles closed the gap between each other, aiming to close in on Xeno's torso. There were two ways to dodge it; backing up away from Cael and the spikes, or running forwards towards him.
-
His eyes darted between the two icicles. As he dashed toward some of the ice still piercing his back as he moved forward. The blood seeping out a little as he drew his knives. The two blades beginning to glow as he threw one at Cael. Within a flash of it being thrown his body seems to turn to dust. A flame consuming him as nothing was left. As the blade travels a small capsule on it opens up releasing what seems like the same kind of dust. The flame seeming to rebirth him mid flight as he grabs the blade. The two blades igniting with fire as he slashes at Cael. One blade going for the throats and the other at his torso in a horizontal motion.

Cael was caught off guard by Xeno closing the gap so suddenly, but quick reflexes allowed him to quickly backstep, jumping out of the rather short blade's reach. As he backstepped, he simultaneously raised a pillar of earth beneath his airborne opponent, which shot upwards, aiming towards where Xeno would it rose to match his altitude. As Xeno was airborne, changing direction or stopping momentum to avoid the earthen uppercut would be... difficult, to say the least.

The flames dying out as the tattoo on his arm is peeled off. Blood running down his mouth as a new tattoo on his right side is formed. A symbol of the hellhound Cerberus now on it. Moving forward shadows begin covering his body. His hands clenching into fists as the shadows wrap around them. Two wolf heads made of pure shadow now adorning it. His fingers becoming the fangs as the armor finishes wrapping around his feet. Opening his eyes to show a blood red glow. Moving forward the ground seems to crumble inwards where he is stepping. Sheathing the knives as a large fifty four inch great-sword is drawn from his back. Slamming it into the ground as markings shoot off in all directions runic symbols being formed on the ground as the ground seems to become pitch black. As it nears Cael fang like spikes jet out of it towards him in all directions.

Though unexpectedly flashy, Xeno's transformation was slow and telegraphed louder than a child's whining. While Xeno was doing his fancy transformation, Cael did not wait for him to finish; he immediately sprinted forward, allowing to avoid the spikes altogether. As he dashed forward, the shape of a four foot inch javelin formed in his right hand, transparent and hazy at first. However within a half second, it solidified; it was made of all elements Cael was able to utilize. Rocks and ice formed the base of the javelin, and surrounding it was a high-speed whirlwind. Within the whirlwind was flames and crackling electricity; it was a blade of elements, not meant to be durable, but rather deliver a single, extremely painful blow. He chucked the javelin, and it flew straight at Xeno with minimal arc. And yet, it didn't stop there; an extraordinarily massive jet stream of water followed the javelin, not exactly boosting its momentum, but certainly adding a good amount of damage to the impact, should it strike. After performing this move, Cael visibly tired. He slowed after chucking the javelin, flames surrounding his hands; he would need time to prepare his follow-up, due to his lowered energy, and so he might as well start as he examined his attack.

Shifting his weight he moves to the side the javelin piercing his armor and side as blood poured out. With a painful grunt he goes to a knee. Shaking his head as new runes seem to form around Cael. Chains rising up and going for his arms and legs to tie him down. Seeming to be a sort of containment spell. With the blood hashing out of his side he clutches his side. Moving forward towards Cael not extremely fast but still approaching. Coughing up some blood as he staggers a little shaking his head. He couldn't make it this easy... not in front of her... The shadows seeming to form into a giant sphere around Cael. Spikes with thorns now adorning it as he lets it go. One final move before he knew he would lose. But he wanted to at least do something.

As the javelin made contact, it exploded–obviously. An explosion of extreme heat, also sending fragments of rock and ice in every direction. The explosion also evaporate all the water from the jet stream behind the javelin, causing a steam to rise up everywhere and more or less blind both Xeno and Cael. Meanwhile, Cael focused on trying to save himself. Firstly, he used his earth magic to gather the strongest material he could gather from within the earth's surface–corundum–forming an massive spike that shot upwards from underground and, due to the ore's momentum, pierced the shadow sphere, allowing corundum to enter the sphere. It changed shape to surround Cael, making another sphere, which managed to block the spikes from stabbing Cael all over. Secondly, the moisture in the air inside the shadow sphere but outside the iron sphere literally multiplied and gathered together to fill the space between the two spheres with water. Then, it proceed to completely freeze; the freezing water would expand the the space, yet the corundum sphere remained in place, and as such, one of the two materials would crack. Corundum, being just harder than the shadowy material, would not be the first to crack. The expanding ice instead made small cracks in 4 centimeters thick shadow sphere. From there, Cael altered the thickness and size of his corundum sphere, making it thinner but a larger sphere overall, allowing the ice to further expand out and finally shatter the shadow sphere. The corundum immediately dispersed, causing Cael to fall to his knees on the ground, just barely managing to escape the sphere. He was, however, all out of energy, and could no longer continue to fight.

Xeno tries to move out of the way of the exploding javelin. His body not able to move from the sustained battle as it explodes. Ripping through his left leg and chest the heat piercing the armor as his form disappears. The white ball seeming to tumble out as Minerva weakly crawls towards him before collapsing. Blood coming out of his left leg and chest as he lay there breathing heavy. Trying to move but the pain made it unbearable to do so. He was alive though, for all purposes he didn't die. But he was in pain and he knew it would be a while before at least the wounds from the explosion would recover. Spitting up blood onto the ground he weakly calls over to Cael. "Guess you win this one huh...?" His vision fading in and out as he almost loses consciousness. The searing pain in his chest not going away as he struggles to move. Giving up after a point and just accepting where he was as the blood pooled around him.
