One day after Cylus' expedition.
One day prior to the fall of Harmony
Marker and Poison stood inside the Alliance Militia base in the Ko Rudo mountains, standing around a table.
Various holograms were around, of different people.
"Poison, present your case to the generals and admirals. Why should you be a Special operations trooper?" Marker asked, nudging Poison.
For PC!
Poison inclined his head in greeting to the holograms, "I believe I am the best suited for Special Operations because I had to live by the dark, become one with the dark, during my five years of living my unknown life. I had to be silent, quick, and efficient, all traits and skills needed in special operations..."
-
"You failed the test however, you alerted the castle guards." One of the holograms, a woman by the sound of her voice, said, looking at Poison "That is true, but you must remember how far he made it. Alone, no less. He didn't have a team to support him." A secondary voice, belonging to an older gentleman said next. "Exactly! If we put him into a squadron, he could do wonders. With the right team, the right back up..." Marker said, trailing off as he glanced at Poison
-
Poison glanced at Marker, nodding, but adding nothing to the conversation...
-
"Poison. Say something." Marker whispered nervously, nudging at him

Edited by medic: 7/12/2017 1:51:28 AMPoison looked at the woman who had spoken earlier, "You ARE right. I did fail the test, the stealth part that is. I will not argue with that, but I did still accomplish getting the hard drive against all odds."
-
"Only after you were gifted the assistance of two squadmates." She quickly retorted, shaking her head "WHICH SHOULDN'T EXSIST, MIGHT I REMIND YOU MARKER." "They're simulations, no harm in that. And if anything, I think the fact that he was successful with the assistance of those two shows his potential. Had he a squadron, I believe he never would have alerted the guards."
-
Edited by medic: 7/12/2017 1:58:57 AM"you're right. They shouldnt exist. But neither should half the gaurds. The memory of Cylus' earlier simulation was not wiped, and therefore the castle was doubly gaurded. I think two squadmates easily account for 18 more gaurds than what there should have been." Poison rebutted...
-
"Oh, great. He knows about the trouble maker as well!" The woman laughed mockingly, shaking her head "Troublemaker? Cylus gave us technology that will change the game!" Clearly, Marker was becoming agitated
-
"From the sounds of it, the Militia would not be as far as it is without Cylus. I wouldn't call that trouble making..."
-
"He's exciting our scientists with theories on dimension hopping. When they have more pressing matters to attend to!"
-
"alright. Alright. We all have our opinions, but I thought this conversation was about me?"
-
"All those in favor of giving him a shot, say Aye. Of the 12 or so faces around the table, 8 said Aye. "Poison will join up a special operations squad. This conversation is over." The holograms all disappeared, leaving Poison alone with Marker
-
Edited by medic: 7/12/2017 2:25:48 AMPoison let out a relieved breath, glancing at Marker to gauge his reaction.
isn't it late for you?
-
Only 4:00 AM when I was writing the post
Marker sighed in relief as well, placing his hands on the table and leaning against it "So. Now we figure out who you should work with. You have an specific people you'd want to work with?"
-
"Dont know anyone besides you."
-
"I meant as in the squadron. More diversified? With a sniper, Demolitions, etcetera. Or just a normal squadron?"
-
"just a normal squadron."
-
"Very well. We'll be leaving the system for a few hours. The squad we're looking for is somewhere else."
-
"alright." Poison said, looking at his new armor. "I'm ready."
-
"Speaking of ready. What'd you use those credits on?"
-
"ah, well, this." Poison said, motioning to his new armor (look at bio for pic)... "Also, new gun modifications," Poison stated while pulling out a black and green Car-9 SMG and handing it to Marker... "And finally, I got an implant in my leg that sends a burst of energy to either continue running or run super fast if I'm not tired..."
-
Marker turned the Car-9 in his hands, nodding in approval "You have any credits left?"
-
"About 5500 credits, yeah. I bargained for a cheap price for the armor... The implant was what took up most of it..."
-
"Hm. Anyways. Where was I?" Marker asked, having lost his place
-
"the squad, I believe."
