"Ya...it's definitely unsettling." Falk agreed as the machine made a large hole in the mountain for it to slip through.

"Eh I'm use to it. For a week the nightingale hideout was forced into a massive underground cavern. You learn to adjust real quickly."
-
"Well, not all of us are as nomadic in nature as you Zane..." Falk said as he gripped the sides of his chair. "Heights I can deal with...you know then you are gunna fall with heights...but underground?! You never know when the ceiling will just collapse on you...."
-
"Good point. It may not affect my ability to fight, but it creeps me out that I can be trapped inside."
-
"Hmmm..." Falk let out audibly. "We should...keep that in mind. For future reference."
-
"What, you don't think the mountain is gonna cave in on us do you?"
-
"What?! No! Well maybe but that's besides the point!" Falk told Zane. "Sir." One of the miners said. "We seem to have a large gap up ahead within the mountain. However if your estimations were correct, this isn't the underground facility you mentioned..."
-
"We're dead. Knew it. It was good knowing you guys, we had a good run." Lyn said jokingly, laughing a little. "I can go out to check if you want."
-
Falk looked down for a moment then back at the miners. "Where does it go?" Falk asked them. "Not sure. Only have the General build of the place. We're nearing it now."
>Investigate the area and stay behind. >Continue on to the defence room.
-
"We don't have time to investigate so let's hope it's nothing too serious." Lyn said, sighing after. "I have a feeling I'll regret not investigating though..."
-
you will
"I suppose you have a point." Falk said. "Keep drilling on. Nothing for us to see here!" He told the miners as the drill seemed to cut through a section incredibly fast. The drill continued to move until the miner spoke up. "Nearing estimated target. There's a large open area here, not sure if it's natural or not."
-
"I've had enough of sitting still, can't I just escort the damn drill from the outside?" He asked
-
"We won't be able to take the drill through this area, that could bring the structure down on you." The miner told Zane. "We will drill a small incision for you all to enter. From there you deactivate the defences."
-
"Damn, and how much farther is that? I'm not sure I can sit still for much longer."
-
"We're here." The miner said. The drill cleaned through a portion easily but it slowed down, likely by the miners control. As he did so, the drill in front of the group made a large THUNK! sound as it opened and split down the middle. It moved to the sides, which created a hallway almost which allowed the group to look out the window and see the large cavern through the hall. Falk took off his seat belt and stood up, a black cloak over his steel polymer body armour. He grabbed Twilights hope, his daughters blade, and slid it on his side. "Time to sate that itch eh Zane?" Falk asked him.
-
"Finally, any longer and I'd have lost my mind." He said as he got up. "Time to get some revenge...."
-
Lyn unfastened herself and stretched as much as she could in the confined space. "Time to rain down some justice...and hopefully not give in to simply wanting revenge."
-
"I'm seeing two very different ideals right now..." Falk commented under his breath. The front of the massive machine opened, and he drew his blade as he stepped out into the hall. "That being said, this bastard killed my daughter. So in that sense, Justice is revenge. Hope you understand that Lyndis."

Edited by Stitch: 7/25/2017 2:00:03 AM"I do. Every life I take is for the greater good and avenging Henry is a part of that greater good." Lyn walked out beside him, a simple buckler on her left arm to protect her from any surprises.

The group walked to the end, and as they did they saw the massive ice cavern. It was large, and seemed natural in its formation. There was an edge to the groups right which went up the icy slippery slope that was illuminated blue by the mining machines bright light. The group could not see the bottom of the cavern....
-
"Huh, what do you think formed this place? Pretty interesting if you ask me."
-
"Not sure." Falk commented as he began to edge his way across the thin walkway around the cavern. "Geology wasn't my strong suit..."
-
Lyn followed closely. "I don't know either. Magic? Gnomes? Giant worms?" She joked, laughing a little.
-
"I swear to god, If a giant worm is what kills us here, I'm going to be pissed." Falk joked along with Lyn as he continued to edge his way across the ledge with Zane behind him and Lyn behind Zane. As Zane looked down however, he realized that he couldn't see the bottom of the massive cavern...
-
"Huh, can't see the bottom....Make sure not to trip, looks like a long fall down into what can only be spikes."
-
"That's a conclusion and a half." Falk said. "That being said, Spikes seem logical. Very logical." But, as if fate had it out for them, the floor beneath Lyn suddenly let out a Ctch! sound. As she looked underneath her feet, she saw that the edge beneath her had cracked and fractured....
