"I don't even know who he is, or who his daughter is," James said.

"He's desperate, his daughter identified you as the attacker, and he just rolled with it." Jäger says.
-
"But who... are they?" James asked. "So you're telling me that you don't know who Sarah Grey is," Mason yelled. James went pale. "He's talking about the Mercury incident... and possibly the incident with Kross...." He muttered.
-
"What the hell happened at Mercury?" Jäger asks James.
-
"Let's just say there was a duel that ended with someone getting stabbed..." James muttered. He began to whimper. He hated remembering that incident. His rage... nearly killed her. He had been deceived by someone close to him. James hated that day. He knew the scar from what happened would never fade. But he never thought that the rage from it would resonate this far. Maybe Sarah was right.... Maybe all Titans do have the same burning rage that makes them fight harder and mercilessly.

Jäger paused for a moment, taking a moment to try and ubderstand each side, but he still wanted details. "Hey, other guy." Jäger said to Mason. "What happened on Mercury?"
-
"I wasn't there..." Mason said, "I was told about it."
-
"But your daughter was, and that's where she was stabbed." Jäger says, reminding himself of what has been happening. "Who else could have stabbed her?"
-
"He was the only one there.. besides her," Delphi said, appearing.
-
Jäger turns to face James. "So, is what he just said true?" He sounded confused.
-
"That is correct...." The Titan sighed.
-
"So you lied?" Jäger asked.
-
"I didn't know who he was talking about until he said who she was," James argued, "I don't even know who he is..."
-
"So, would I be correct in saying that you did stab her?" Jäger asks, he sounded concerned.
-
"Unfortunately, yes..." James said.
-
"Oh man this is starting to hurt my brain. So, you stabbed his daughter but didn't know it was his daughter. Then he attacks you." Jäger says, going through the series of events.
-
"One of them," Mason corrected. He had calmed down a bit. "Yeah. Sorry to confuse you more. But Sarah has a twin sister."
I want Jäger to be more confused.
-
"You've got to be shitting me. Ok, can I ask one question. Please tell me what the hell happened on Mercury? Because how the hell did a fight break out?" Jäger asks James one last time. Rhodes in the back begins to laugh. "Jesus Christ this is confusing as hell."
-
"I don't like talking about what happened on Mercury. Or thinking about it," James muttered, "It is horrifying to think I flew into such a rage."
-
"Can you at least tell me who started the god damn fight?" Jäger asked, trying to get the whole story.
-
"It... was me..." his eyes welling up with tears.
-
"But why? Why?" Jäger says, pleading for him to tell his side.

"Prepare for more confusion," Delphi warned. "She and I were dating at the time. My memory had been wiped. So I didn't know who she was. And the Vanguard decided she was dangerous enough to be exiled and she had a bounty on her head," James explained, crying. "They... lied to me about her. Said she was a threat. Claimed that she killed someone close to me. They gave me her last coordinates, and I tracked her down. She... was hesitant about attacking. I took that as a weakness. We clashed with swords. I caught her off guard, and stabbed her. I took off her helmet to see the face that supposedly killed the person close to me. But... I felt broken. I had stabbed the very person I came to avenge." He was crying rivers. He hated those memories. Because he hurt someone who was innocent then. A Warlock with a big heart, and too much power. Mason was still angry, but not at James. At the Vanguard. He really wanted to give James a hug.
-
"The Vanguard, why'd you have to bring them up?" Jäger said with sadness in his voice. Jäger looked down, he held an object in his hand, then put it away after awhile. "The -blam!-ing Vanguard."
-
Mason nodded in respect. James's story had struck him in a manner he understood. "I feel like... I need a therapist to help me with my anger issues," Mason said.
-
"Yeah, that wouldn't be too bad." Jäger said, he made a fist with the object in his hand. "I'm sorry..." He muttered quietly to himself as he put it away.
