I think it's fair to say that the vast majority of people that have played the Beta are not happy with what they've seen and played so far.
Can't believe that the Unlimited Super Glitch from Destiny 1 is in Destiny 2....

Heres a few things to think about before you make final judgments on this game. PVE: A lot of people are kind of upset when it comes to Super recharge rate and power ammo drops. A few things to consider. We were given very basic gear. For all we know the level cap is 40 and the light level cap is 400. So this gear they have given us is very low power and not at all the most powerful gear our guardians will have access to. They very well may be armor that makes your super charge faster and make it more viable. There may also be armor like the Ruin Wings that make power ammo drop more frequently. We dont know. Bungie has kept a ton of info under wraps and for good reason. The Destiny 1 beta had almost a 4th of the content of the full game. Getting this small taste of the game is a good thing. PVP: The same goes for PVP. There will more than likely be armor for PVP encounters that will buff what you do in matches. Not to mention Bungie stated there will be regular updates whether its content or tweaks. So sure the game at launch may have its problems but they all eventually get fixed. Destiny 1 was at launch, a very very broken game. But We kept playing, kept getting what we asked for(kind of) and after the 3 years it was all in all a great game. And now since they have new ways of tweaking guns and such we wont ever have metas like what Destiny 1 is now with all the sidearms and what not. Destiny 2 is a step forward and a lot of us gueardians are making huge judgements before we really even know what the game has to offer fully. I cant wait to experience the full game with everyone and cant wait to meet you guys on the frontlines to take down GARRY! Have a nice day. You are the creator of your own Destiny. BECOME LEGEND!

It's not the vast majority,
it's the whining minority
I've played the beta, quite a bit actually, spent a few hours with each subclass, and I'm each mode. To be honest I'm very happy with it, I believe it's going to be a ton of fun, and I can't wait to see what else there is. Obviously this is only a small small fraction of what's to come. The only real thing I'm worried about is not enough pve content as all we have is a strike to go off. I also wish the homecoming mission would have been in the directory so into my have to delete characters to play it again. Also, I was not a fan of the titans. I felt they were lacking compared to the titans in d1. I think it may have been more of a problem with the weapons I had on my titan rather than the class itself though
-
I would actually say a lot of people are enjoying the beta, but definitely have some issues regarding pve/pvp. And the super glitch, is awesome, it's only in pve so its fine. Besides it's not like right now we get our supers that often anyways, so i feel like it's a nice little compensation gift lol.

Edited by XMalakhX: 7/22/2017 12:29:20 AMI don't care for the PvP, I play it for the PvE content. So hell yeah I'm getting the game. It's good for that.

Just do it
-
I am still buying it, but the amount of hope I had for the game plummeted with the beta...
-
Playing the beta. Everything is nerfed! Kinda expected this cheap move. Thanks Bungie for making me a sheep :)
-
Your poll states otherwise
-
Yes. I'm happy with the beta. I have my gripes about pvp but I'm still keeping my pre-order.
-
Unsure. I have cancelled my pre-order though. Without going into details, the beta is a massive disappointment (particularly in PvE, story notwithstanding). The feeling is shared throughout my entire friend's list save for the most hardcore PvP-only streamers. A friend who is, by quite some distance, the biggest Destiny fan I've ever seen with more hours than literally (not figuratively) 99.9% of all players was heartbroken. It's just.. ..meh.

So far it doesn't look good. The cool down suck the time it takes is like wow. For destiny 1 beta players do you all remember how they kept giving us betas until like a few weeks b4 release date. To make sure the fans enjoyed what they were playing and it was stress testing to.that's what they should be doing. By them doing this it's showing the fans that there not going to be much on the game . I mean why make us start at level 20 . They should be letting us level up at least to 5 or 10 and let us see how it feels . And I see people saying oh its just a beta but people that are saying that must of not been with destiny since the beginning of the 1st game and must of not played destiny 1 beta either . .sucked when they took away our loot caves in destiny 1.

I have hope, but I am expecting to be disappointed.
-
Honestly, this beta put me on the fence. - I never like PvP, so I've kept that out of my list of deciding factor. - The story mission was awesome and thoroughly enjoyable. - The strike is where I started finding some issues in what I saw. The boss fight was a little tedious as having to run around an arena doing chip damage with a primary while having minimal cover and maximum adds just wasn't fun. Added to that is the fact that I had to constantly run around for ammo because ammo drops seem to have been gutted due to a 2 primary system. All in all, I can't make up my mind about how a feel to what is essentially a nerf to my character's power. Also, I can already see some MAJOR issues with this power weapon system. Who in their right mind would use a shotgun over a rocket luancher or sniper? I can assure you that many weapon classes will just not be used (For example, the grenade launcher is just a worse rocket launcher. 99% of players not want to account for bullet drop and just use a tracking rocket).
-
Hope? What for? I'm ecstatic.
-
I'm playing the beta and I'm just not excited most of the PvP changes are changes for the sake of change. 30fps is very noticeable and very distracting. It's just okay so far... can't say I'm excited at dropping 100 plus dollars to play D2
-
If I do but it it's because it's gonna be all my friends play. Not because I think that it's a good game by any standard
-
Why do I need hope?
-
Edited by GakMan: 7/20/2017 2:44:56 PMDefinitely still buying it. the story mission is what I thought D1 was going to be like.
-
I'm absolutely buying Destiny 2. Nightfalls here we come! ~TheGreatNike
-
Of course I am! Why wouldn't I?
-
Everyone who would've voted for YEP, this beta is awesome! Just bump here instead!
-
Just cancelled my pre order. The first strike was all I needed to see. Much like the last couple strikes they added in d1 its like fighting on a shoe box. No real strategy....just jump, run and shoot. The pvp side was better but I have no desire to play pvp anymore. I had hope but that was lost with this beta...I know it's just a beta, but from what I seen they took the same lazy approach to the strike I just played as they did with the last couple they released...
-
Not at first, I don't think it's bad just no step in the next diretion. Feels like DLC to me. But once I see more of the final game I very well may. Give me a reason Bungie, give me a reason.
-
Cancled my preorder earlier today. Power ammo drops in pve was horrible and PvP you can't do shit cause you get team shot the entire time. Honestly, they should of gave us the d1 beta experience with d2 minus the amount of story we got to play
