Destiny 2 beta Crash during the mission Homecoming PS4 Pro
Hello,
I've preordered destiny 2 deluxe edition because i love the game but can't play the beta until now because it keeps crashing mid-mission on my PS4 Pro with the error code(CE-34878-0). Can't finish the tutorial to play with my friends. People with the normal ps4 can play without any problem. I've contacted Sony support and they said we should contact the game developers because we know it is a beta and they should fix their product. I know it is a beta but I didn't get to play the game that i played for 3 years and loved. No do not say because the language was set to russian because that didn't happen. My language is set at English (United States). Please fix the problem so that i could play atleast one crucible game with my friends. I've tried all troubleshooting steps that Playstation support mentioned. I tried copying the game from the HDD to an external hard disk but still didn't fix the problem.

I've been experiencing the exact same problem as well. I was fortunate enough to still have my original PS4, so I've been able to play on that, but I am definitely looking forward to playing in the most optimal way on the Pro and this is super disappointing. Based off of the extensive research I've done on this issue, I have a strong incling that it may be a hardware issue that effects a few different games. I first experienced the issue with Rise of the Tomb Raider and noticed on blogs/forums that others have too. The only people who I've seen have that problem fixed are those who used their limited warranty for console replacements. Perhaps, in the first batch or two of PS4 Pros, there are hardware issues. I haven't seen many people describing if their systems were purchased recently or not, which would help narrow down this issue. Mine is most definitely an original console. In regards to both Bungie AND Sony, some kind of addressment needs to be made on this issue because it is clearly effecting many people at this point. I hope this has shed some light on the issue.

I just deleted my downloaded again. Downloaded new patch. Deleted old character. And still crashes in Homecoming mission. At the same point when I reach the original social space from Destiny 1. On a PS4 Pro with stock HDD. with boost mode on and off.

Bump that problem. They must optimize that horible game or give me back my money. I have bought ps4 pro and destiny2 and cant just play because of permanent crashes and langs in first mission. Dont play if you wont to crush your ps4 pro. The problem is not only in Russian language it is anywhere! Fix or pay, that is incredible even fot beta test,its like developer alfa!

Same issue. Re installed. Happened again. Hooked up my old ps4 (not pro) and the beta worked fine.

I Tryed out every Setting Possiible and even with the update 1.3 my Beta Client keeps chrashing hard. I havent completed the first Mission yet. And i assume this chrash has damaged my PS4 Pro. Now in every Game i Play the System is going full power to the Fans and ist redicilously hot. I understand that this is Beta. But releasing a Client damaged like this should be punished by Sony. I wonder how many Ps4 Pro´s will be sent back, damaged by the Destiny 2 Beta Client. And WTF GUYS...U dont even give a pice a shit about this Problem not even a Statement or An Issiue Report. I am a German Youtuber and there is no other way to make this Problem public in my Review because u ceep on damaging PS4 Consoles (worth400€) and dont even notice it. I hope to get my System replaced by sony and u get the Problem fixed

4 RepliesSame problem here. Crashes at first mission after 1-4 min. PS4 Pro, system software 4.72 Language is set to english where it is possible to set a language. Tried all troubleshooting, tried changing resolution. Same problem goes with Diablo 3 and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Kinda dissapointed but also assured not to buy the game until this is sorted out.(Will it ever be?)

Hey Bungle you owe me a ps4 pro. Your damaged beta client has completely destroyed my ps4 pro and now it won't play any game properly. Nice way to treat a player that has invested over 1500 hours in Destiny 1 and brought over people that would have never played the game in the 1st place. Gonna have to cancel my preorder to get my money back and buy a new pro. Thx for nothing.

I am also On a Stock ps4 Pro 1tb (US English) and experiencing Destiny Beta 2 Crashes with error code (CE-34878-0) constantly. Its so frustrating and I want to give it a chance. But, honestly I tested Destiny 1 Beta and it never crashed. Made all 3 characters and experienced everything that 1st Beta had to offer, it actually made me want to buy Destiny 1. This Destiny 2 Beta hard crashing my 3 month old PS4 Pro makes me NOT want to purchase Destiny 2. Bungie, you better address this thread or expect a lot of your 4 year Veteran players to abandon ship altogether!

5 RepliesOk so I have one of the first Pros to come out, I pre ordered it and received it Nov 10 2016 I believe is the date it came out. I have not had many issues but it did seem Ike my system was a little glitchy and I would freeze every once in awhile. The beta comes out and I can not get past the first mission, froze up at Icora every time. Totally pissed at Bungie. So I try ed an experiment. I went out and bought a brand new PS4 Pro, updated it, loaded up the beta and low and behold it worked just fine. It's not the game it's a faulty GPU in your PS4 Pro. Call Sony they are well aware of this issue that they had an early batch of Pros with faulty parts in them. I was given no hassle at all, there sending me a box to send my unit back in, no charge for service or anything. Call Sony ASAP, since the release date was less than a year ago it's under warranty as long as you have your receipt.

4 RepliesI'm literally having the exact same problem. Game freezes at zavala then gives me the same code you get! Even after the update they sent out today. It's still the same. I was going to contact Sony support too but seeing as you've already done it. It seems it's not the PlayStation? Am I right?

finally deleting this horrible unplayable broken destiny 2 beta, it's so laughable how bad this destiny 2 beta keeps on messing up and damaging my newly bought ps4 pro console system, every time when I go to try and play this broken beta over and over again, it's always the same end results, game freezes and crashes, ps4 pro console systems freezes up and locks up the system and only way to either turn off or restart the console is to unplug the consoles power cord every time this happens.
